Fun to watch the energy and chemistry between these two. And interesting that their favorite was the 20s. Definitely expected them to pick the 30s. As someone who went to elementary school in the 90s... that decade is extremely inaccurate. No one got Gushers or Capri Sun from the school cafeteria - that was only kids who brought food from home. A school lunch in the 90s would have been one of the rectangle pizzas and off-the-cob corn or chicken nuggets and crinkle cut fries with a piece of fruit (apple/banana/orange) and your choice of whole (red), 2% (blue), or chocolate (brown) milk carton. That was the "set" meal that had a set price. Then the option to buy extras at the end of the line like Rice Krispies and chocolate chip cookies. I definitely never saw popsicles. And if you were bringing a lunch from home, it would have likely been a sandwich, Cheez Its or Goldfish, a fruit snack (Gushers and Fruit by the Foot were the most popular), a snack cake or Oreos, and a Capri Sun/Sunny D/Hi C/Yoo Hoo.
