5:10 - answered my firmware question that I’ve been looking up for the past couple hours since I recieved one for Christmas yesterday . Brook did not make it clear at all how to update the firmware but it does look as though you need a female usb c to make USB C or male usb A depending on the ports available on machine updating the dock
Do you guys think the lag would be the same with the nintendo switch usb gamecube adapter. the one with 4 ports and if it would still work on this. I guess it's missing a usb slot but wouldn't a usb hub work on this also.
What this really needs is an integrated Ethernet port on the back. It's obviously going after the smash market, and wired networking is much preferred. The problem here is that my wired network adapter will have to dangle off the front USB port. Not necessarily a deal breaker but I have that neatly tucked in the rear now.
word to the wise, you get the same speeds as wired if you're connecting with a clean 5Ghz signal. i've tested my oled dock against wireless 5Ghz, and they're the same. the wired ports are severely nerfed, sadly.
Should review and test out the latency on the Mayflash Magic S-pro adapter, Brook wingman NS adapter, Switch-up game enhancer and maybe even the cronus zen.

This is actually pretty cool little device! I personally use a switch lite but i can imagine using this as a way to charge and play at my desk!
I'd love to try it, but I'm too afraid of bricking my Switch. 3rd party docks are just too much of an unknown.
I thought about this also
Exactly my thought
What's cool is that this company will send your switch in for repairs if it bricks.
That's an awesome dock even if you don't need the gamecube ports. I want one.
Great review!
thanks for the info!
I love this channel
It looks like a GameCube too.
Wish there was one usb in the back for usb to ethernet port.
BROOK Will have a new version of PowerBay to add Ethernet port
Anybody know the latency of this vs the latency of the normal GameCube controller adapter?

Dex is a crazy idea. Such a shame you can't use the controllers for Dolphin

Do not use 3rd party docks! There is a chance you can brick your Switch. Use and only use OEM docks from Nintendo
It wasn’t the dock, it was the power supply that was causing the issue
@@EvertGuzman It's still a pretty big risk to be honest. Better off Cannibalizing an official dock and just re-shelling it using a kit.
