Easy Alan you ok pal, well done on your session. Some cracking drone shots, you get a real look at the mark. I was out early Saturday morning n managed 2 stonking flounder on the humber. Merry Xmas from GRIMSBY.
These videos are improving all the time Alan. Glad you're enjoying your fishing, filming and presenting. Keep an eye on your shelter though! The nut on the top is the one to watch. Where the back pole joins the centre. I lost mine at Chesil. Let me know if you find it 😂
Thanks for watching - I carry a few spares ! especially the plastic bits for the rod rests, often they disconnect and (as you say) they are lost. Found 1/2 pair scissors last trip !
Another great one - putting together really well rounded video's combining the drone work with music and scenery - a matter of time before you get that big cod - it's out there now getting bigger !
Thanks for the lovely feedback - My cod with my name on it is lost at sea !! Watched an angling times you tube video of cod fishing at Soroya (Norway) , a great watch with cod up to 70 lb .. don't want one that big !
Another good informative video fella. Plenty of fish to keep the rod tips bouncing Sure you’ll find a nice cod soon if you keep putting the time in. Thanks for sharing
Nice busy one for you Alan. I’m glad it’s not just me who struggles with trying to pay for parking there online, it never wants to work! Take care buddy 😎👍👍
Thanks for watching Lincoln - old school coins is the best ! 1st time I've used cash for ages . Enjoyed the fishing there , Cogden in the spring is up next
Enjoyable video. You had a better session than I did fishing the Portland end yesterday. Might have to try West Bex some time next year, looks a more convenient mark than the high shingle banks at the east end of Chesil.
Another fab video, I was fishing 2 down from you yesterday and had much the same stamp of fish. Keeping fingers crossed for one of those 10lb cod next time I get out down there 😂 Tight lines and keep up the great work. Darren
@@fishingat that shingle can be hard work for sure. When you fish Abbotsbury or similar do you walk along the shingle to the mark or is there an easier way to get there once you’ve parked in the car park ?
@@Darren-r9v Hi - at Abbotsbury : You can walk towards West Bexington along the road at the back of the shingle and then hop over the bank where ever you want to fish. Past the cottages is typically where I go (about 1 km from the car park) You can fish (obviously) in front of the car park, but that can get busy. Heading towards Portland, you can follow the base of the bank (behind the beach) keeping the reeds / fleet on your left hand side as you walk towards the Dragons teeth. Don't be tempted to follow the path into the reeds, you'll end up the wrong side of the fleet.. Dragons teeth appear after about 1 km and it's 50 : 50 path of pebbles / hard surface to there. From then on , it's pebbles all the way. To the teeth, it's about a 20 min walk, if you stop 3 or 4 times (like I do !!). Paths should show on google maps . Hope that helps
Thanks for watching - Goldcliff , a mark I've yet to really try and never had much luck for cod at Clevedon / Portishead , other than out in a boat I the 1990's ... fingers crossed for a good season this year
New sub. Luv anything Chesil or Bristol Channel. Can't get out there now, gotta watch it on UA-cam. Great video. Cheers.
Thanks for watching , thanks for subscribing

Thanks for watching - It's a easier mark, but I'm guessing gets very busy

Yep, can be punishing on the legs for elder guys so use a trolly and travel lightly and stay hydrated with water.
Mid September and the codling will return to the Bristol Channel, goldcliff nr Newport and Clevedon's Lady Bay /Portishead. Lug and rag a must. 😊
