OK, I'm officially voting for Emma to do a camper van series called "camping in Japan". I would have loved to see what camping around Japan would be like. It's gonna blow "journey across japan" out of the water, Chris will never see it coming!
I just wanted to thankyou for making me smile with every video, especially as ive been laid up in bed/on sofa the last few days feeling very sick and the smiles haven't come as easy or been very frequent so thanks for the most wonderful of distractions. Your awesome! 🤗
When I went camping with my ex-wife's family to Pennsylvania sleeping was great. Waking up to crisp clean air is awesome and yes eating food when you camp makes the food taste better. I loved sitting by the fire.
Garnt, Joey, Connor: "We went camping, but ended up sleeping in the car instead." Emma: "We're all about efficiency around here, so what if we went camping IN a car!"
@@TacComControl Exactly what I thought : "THAT view of Mt Fuji without a single cloud isn't faked here, heh CHRIS 😂😂😂" Also the trash taste bois "WE ALMOST DIED BECAUSE WE HAD A GAS CAN ON FIRE 😱😱😱" Emma, being the absolute perfect boss that she is, making the best grilled sandwich EVER and roasting cookies on a fire camp *intimate audio* 😌😌😌
With each new video, I feel like you're coming more and more into your own, Emma. I'm still really working on doing that myself so it's really inspiring to watch you. Ahhh, just thanks for being you.
Spent a few months vanning and camping around NZ and QLD last year, would LOVE to see the outskirts of cities throughout Japan. Thanks for filming! Can be a lot of logistical effort on top of everything else so I appreciate the effort haha
I'd love to see a video about van culture in Japan. Both campers and the crazy customs with the big wings and anime paint jobs. I've been a van guy in the states for almost 25 years and I love seeing custom vans in other countries. I remember seeing all the Kei vans in Tokyo and thinking how awesome campers they could be. Norm's van trip just made me want to see more Japanese vans
nice one! Well done, Emma for driving like you did. I only got my drivers license about 4 years ago, I am an Aussie expat living in the UK and after 15 years FINALLY learned how to drive about 4 years ago. About a month later, the hubster had bought me a car (a good thing too as I'm a full time potter and can't always rely on him to drive me to my shows) and 4 days later I pranged him. Once I finally got him back from the mechanics, 2 weeks later I did my first Big Long Drive, think Sydney to Canberra but with roadworks and super congestion for half the drive, (seriously, do NOT do the M6 on Fridays- EVER!). Talk about exhaustion! A 4-5 hr drive took more than 8 hrs. I was a complete wreck at the end. We had tried to convoy it, but we got separated in the contraflow. I will forever be grateful for the lovely Muslim chap who parked next to me at the motorway services I was resting at near sundown and used our cars as a privacy shield of sorts to have his evening prayers (its about avoiding observation during prayers and making do, I avoided looking at him out of respect). I am not a follower of organised religions, but the sense of calm that I felt as he knelt between our cars and prayed helped to refresh me enough to do the final 90minutes drive which was so much easier once I left the motorway. So I totally understand how exhausted you must have felt after negotiating a mega city like Tokyo. I have driven through London several times for shows and getting out on a sunday evening is tedious! I hope you stick with it and possibly take the step to buying your own car to do those off the beaten track videos that you can't do without a vehicle. You will make Japan seem so much more accessible. Actually, when I mentioned you were driving and camping around Mt Fuji he said oh go on then! And we watched this vid together, normally he scoffs and ignores me.
Oh, this is so good. I had no idea there were areas like this in Japan. Seeing you back in your apartment exhausted, I really empathised. But can tell it won't be long before your next adventure. I really am jealous of your lifestyle. Thanks for letting us live vicariously through your videos.
Driving in the city during crazy traffic with those super tiny lanes in a big car! That's a huge feat. Good for you for handling it and not freaking out! Looks like a lovely way to see more of Japan, too.
OMG, that looked sooo relaxing and chill and beautiful! 😍 There's nothing like waking up surrounded by nature with such a beautiful view. The landscapes in Japan are so stunning. And that car looked insane! So big and with everything you need, it looked super secure and cozy somehow. 😃 I love these chill vlogs so much, Thank you for sharing this trip with us, Emma! 🙌❤
Looks so fun!! Emma, you should get yourself a van (like Tatsuo & Umiko on YT) and do more camping, you looked so calm and happy out in nature! Loved the moment where your hair and the autumn 🍂 leaves were the exact same colour 😍
I absolutely LOVED this video, Emma! I want to visit Japan someday, when we can all travel again. I'd love to just drive around to see the countryside. I'm not really interested in seeing cities since I live in a very urban area already. My husband loves camping but isn't fond of hotels soooo...Now I know how we can visit Japan and both be thrilled! If we rent from Overland Japan we can see rural Japan in the way we both love. How awesome! Thanks for this video!
That car with all the caming gear is insane. I can only imagine how much time and money it would cost to try and put together all that yourself and with how limiting space is in Japan it makes total sense to just rent something like that. pretty cool
Thank you so much! I could watch camping videos all day. I miss it so much! And you got so many wonderful views of Mt. Fuji. I wish more videos featured dogs, as they just add so much charm and warmth.
That second campsite looked so nice waking up. Really fun to come along! I can feel your joy of driving again! That's so fun, reminds me of getting my license long ago
Oh, i remembered that when I had my license, in a few months i had to drive down the Autobahn to the Eifel. Twisty roads going up and down was a great, be it buttclenching, learning experience. A clear view of Mt. Fuji for days must have been a motivator too i bet
I went to Japan in 2018 for my "big" birthday, and we did a tour that took us to the summit of mt. Fuji (by bus). We stopped along the way driving along the lakes at the base, and when I first saw Mt. Fuji it was shocking, it was so incredibly beautiful. Really something to see in person, ahhh, I loved it so much. My birthday is in August and we were so lucky because our tour guide said that normally the summit is covered with clouds in the summer and you don't normally see the peak, but the day we went it was completely clear except for about 5 min of cloud cover that left pretty quick. It was so beautiful. I loved watching this, it reminded me of my amazing trip. 😊♥ 🗻
Only just got around to watching this video now -- it's been in my Watch Later queue for MONTHS. You totally should've titled it "Road tripping and camping around Mt. Fuji with THE GOODEST BOYE!" so I'd've known about Basil, and I would've watched it much sooner! Basil is soooooooooooo cute! That shot of him looking out the window is just precious! Awesome video as always -- sorry it took me half a year to actually sit down and watch it. ;)
The rain helps clear the clouds. I know the camera doesn't do it justice, but dang I can't wait to see Mt. Fuji. I enjoy the intimacy with nature while camping. Including pets, like Basil.
So glab to see Basile and Taylor B, I miss them very much. Could you possibly send them my love? You must have enjoyed yourselves so much. Great shots!!! 👍
Mt. Fuji was beautiful! I went to Japan twice, both times were during Summer, so Mr. Fuji was very shy hiding behind clouds. I swear I will visit him again one day! 🗾🗾🗾
This was so picturesque- it looks like a dream!! Also the paninis DID look really good too, lol! 🗻🥪🚙 🐕 It must be so exciting to have a license now; I hope you all get to go on lots more cool roadtrip adventures! 🤗
Wow what an awesome video! Very well done passing your license and driving such a big car, the Toyota FJ Cruiser is such a cool car! And little Basil! Adorable 😍😍😍
Watched Hannah’s video in an overland car a while back too. So super cool and wayy better than sleeping on the dirt. You guys need to try hammock camping out sometime. Bring a warm blanket!
