Hey man, I’m watching through your playlist of Clementine, and I’m writing this here in the hopes you see it. Last year I got a 63 ragtop beetle, and watching you guys having laughs and working on your bugs and busses has been such a big motivation and influence to working on my beetle. I love your content man, I hope to one day meet you at a show! Hopefully in my bug when he’s done! You guys are awesome! Keep doing what you do!
@@Rottingboards it’s funny you say that because I’m at the shop now and in fact brought the toaster oven from my house with me so that I can heat up some fried chicken for lunch 😂
I’m not surprised at all, better safe than sorry. Now you know what you’re dealing with vs not knowing what’s inside. Plus this give you a chance to get the bearing material out of the engine and clean it all up.
Yay! I'm glad your big ol' V8 seems to be able to live on! I suppose you've heard the one about "Two liters is a soda bottle, not an engine displacement!" Of course that joke doesn't apply to your VeeDub world. 🙂
Hi Taylor, how will you ensure that no debris will ruin the new bearings and (all others) after you put the engine back together? Will you flush every part with break cleaner before?
With it being.002 difference between 3/4 and 19 mm i would agree that is close enough. On the other side of it , with a little bit of rust on a 19mm bolt a 3/4 would fit better!

@@yang3226 hell yeah! Well done, looking forward to meeting you and your car soon! Hoping to debut Clementine this coming year. Thanks for watching!
I'm not surprised. This is what I expected your home kitchen to look like.

I learned today that working on Mopars makes some mechanics speak in voices. 😁
Not surprised……we always like to see you struggle😂. You really wanted to tear into and we know it.

The way this guy starts the video it's just hilarious

Wow.. that motor came out fast!!!
Great 📹
19mm is very close to 3/4 inch, every fastener on that year is standard.

😮😆 Wasn't expected a complete tear down.
If u own it and can rebuild it do it. New trucks are out of my price range and junk like everything else
Dainty petite hands, VW knowledge. Now I know why Rachael is with you.
Maybe a crate motor is cheaper option? ($3k) If you just throw in bearings and rings then it's $500.
@@Rottingboards it’s not 😂
I think it's clear, the best option now is an LS swap
