Great review! I brought a 2016 Passat last year. An amazing vehicle and the gas mileage is great. I had a 2012 beetle before and the gas mileage was not good.
I just started working for Volkswagen in St. Petersburg Florida. To close the trunk, hold the the two areas in side of the trunk with your palms. Pull downward with some force as you swing your arms toward you. The trunk will close without getting your hands dirty. Voila!
I think the handles are safety features for kidnapping situations or getting locked in trunk. So in the event, God forbid, someone should be in the trunk, they can escape.
I really like this car. Audi’s used to be my dream car along side a Jeep Wrangler , but I think I’m going to add this VW to the mix! Great review, very in depth !
I enjoy your reviews. Keep up the good work. When the dealerships loan you the car are you allowed to film driving reviews? If you filmed to and from your review location this may give you something to edit and include. It's always good to see the car moving and hear the interior sounds.
I drive a VW Jetta with trunk handles exactly like these ones and I love them. Kind of like how you said, I grab the handles and kind of filing the trunk down while taking my hand out of the way. It works well, I've never had any issues getting my arm caught in the trunk or anything. You don't need to fling it down very hard for it to close. And since you're flinging it down, you don't have the issue of closing it too softly and having it not latch properly. I personally love the feature.
For the trunk question, in Ireland people swing the trunk down fast and take their hand away about half way down hope that helped you. Also i was wondering if there is a Hyundai dealer anywhere close by so that you could maybe do some videos on them.Thanks for the great content and keep up the humor. ;-)

Next time you do a video let the consumer hear how the radio sounds....a good car salesman goes over feature in detail that might be of importance to the buyer.....at least 7 to 10 seconds is advised..Also let them know more about the gas mileage (city/ highway)

Yes you have to pull it fast to shut it. That is how I close my trunk.

What is the difference between 1.4 vs 1.8 engine which is one more good in gas mileage as you gas price are crazy, please advice? Thanks
@@tmkirfan never driven a 1.4 engine. So I can’t speak on that. On my 2016 r-line Passat I can go at least 530 miles on a full tank.

Black and white colors with tan interiors are the best colors for the passat. VW makes one of the best quality interior
