Hi everyone, seems like people are controversial about "Chinese people look sad", I also post this video on Chinese social media "Redbook 小红书". If you are able to read in Chinese you can gather information from local Chinese's opinions. If not, mostly people said: "Chinese look sad is because the life pressure" "It is call East Asia anxiety, because the high competition, same in South Korea and Japan" Here is the link to Red video: xhslink.com/a/naHTWSBtuXSY

Wow! I didn't know there are that many Brasiliras in Donggung. I visited the Macau's casinos many times and some of them are better than Las Vegas. There aren't many people that speak Portuguese in Macau. I tried many Portuguese restaurants and found Brasil has better Portuguese restaurants than in Macau. I lived in both countries before.

@ 5:09 I am from Macau and I agree that Macau people look sad, I have been living in this place for over 20 years, my opinion is that people are just not happy with their lives in Macau, there are all kinds of issues in this place but there is no way to improve them so people have to accept them.
The sad looking Chinese are the ones with a gambling problem. I'm speaking as a Chinese who knows more than a few Chinese gambling addicts. They live in darkness. That's why they always look sad. Even, when they have a huge win.
why thats part of the Beauty. and China likes to keep everything in tact as it used to be. Macau is still China with everything China has to offer same goes for Hong Kong. Hong Kong was under britisch rules but you still see China in Hong Kong. Remember Hong Kong was always a place on its own even before the Britisch invaded it. it has always had his own language (Cantonese) and it always had its own sort of history. CPC dont like to change those things. and i like them for that. Taiwan is the complete oposite they changed the things from their colonial past. My Country the Netherlands had control over Taiwan (Formosa) We are responsible for populating Taiwan with Han Chinese. do you see any of our colonial past still there? or the Portuguese colonial past? no you dont thats the difference CPC doesnt like to erase history you see that everywhere around China
As long as they are not repealing, the Chinese government is fine as keeping them as a protected group similar to the 56 ethnic groups of China. If anything, it benefits the internal economy with tourism and it also allows them to contain the foriegn influence to specific areas.
Well, learn some truth, it was the Chinese government who gave them "autonomy" in the first place...They could have made HK and MC like other mainland cities, but they didn't.
@@metalvideos1961 I see too much old European architectures in places like Shanghai, Ningbo and Tianjin... they are everywhere and theres hardly any of its own unique Chinese architecture, because of that it is really ugly.
The Macanese needs to relearn how to speak Portuguese similarly to how Filipinos need to relearn to speak Spanish/Castilian again, there are lots of opportunities if only these places didn't forget how to speak their former colonial languages, just the sheer amount of Spanish/Castilian and Portuguese speakers around the world is would already be reason enough to relearn the Latin languages! plus somehow understanding other Romance languages, sad that it isn't the case.
No they do not. It's cool if individual people want to learn the languages but there's no reason in the modern world to make it mandatory to learn their colonizer's language.
@@jackc.7394 it is for practical reasons and even if it was from colonizers, it is still part of their heritage, even Chinese needs to learn English, guess why, because they can't expect the world to learn such a difficult language like Chinese, the Chinese didn't force the world to speak their language at gun point but the west did, the world will only learn chinese if the Chinese pointed a gun at the world, too bad the Chinese are either too kind or to cowardly to do that in the past and present, I am pro china and i am Chinese but i do accept China's limitations, language is the key to understanding and its too late to force the world to learn Chinese, if china wants to be understood then they better learn to speak the world's univeral language(s).

Got a question Aidan, why is DongGuan known as the Brazilian city in China ?
I think it start with trading, many Brazilian manufacturers there
Dongguan is popular for the shoes and clothes factories

Maybe she saw lot of Chinese gamblers who look sad after loss of lots of money in the casinos.
Hong Kong and Macau needs their autonomy stripped from the Chinese government. The two places still have western ideologies, and it needs to end.
