Fun Fact: This isn't the first time Jakal has beaten Leo.
Way back in smash 4. Jakal beat Leo at Shine 2018. The last smash 4 tournament Leo attended

Jakal also beat Spargo and Onin2x in this tournament, both are players that have given Leo a lot of trouble. Put some mf respect on Jakal name he is the Wolf goat.
Jakal is probably the most patient top player I’ve seen. It’s fun to watch him pick his openings carefully.
It’s probably because he plays tweek all the time.

@@nathanlevesque7812 just not true. patience is a two way road, man. sonix is definitely the most patient top player I’ve watched. he is so patient in waiting for the opponent to make a mistake that it might not be fun to watch to the average spectator's eye, in fact.

I won't say that the Joker would've lost, but it's a pretty frustrating mu and not much better than any of his other picks. Wolf generally goes even with Leo's character line-up. Jakal was legitimately just better here.

Mastery of the character by Jakal who is making a case for best Wolf in the world (not sure where Ouch ranks). His recoveries and movement were excellent, great win for him.
Jakal is slightly better for his poise on bigger stages, but Ouch has better offensive output in general

Not sure if they discussed it during the set (I didn't watch live), but this is the second time Jakal beats MkLeo. They played at Shine 2018 (Smash 4) in winners and Jakal won 3-1. Different games but, unless I am missing something, Jakal is 2-0 over Leo lifetime.

But now there is no clear number 1. The most consistent is Acola, he only lose to spargo, at least for now.
Jakal is my goat. His style of wolf gameplay is so sick, he really feels like he mastered wolf. Patient when he needs to be, steps on the gas when he can, super clean inputs. You never really see Jakal miss conversions. Love seeing him 3-0 MKLeo, put people on notice Jakal! Let your nuts hang!

Why tf is almost every comment, tweet or post on leo’s losses always try to act like they’re his psychotherapist, his coach, his disappointed parent, or they’re just stuck on jokercope? It’s really not that deep, y’all!
feel free to agree or disagree on this, but here’s a little breakdown on the “roles” of these wannabe comments:
- pyschotherapist: “he’s just not hungry anymore,” “he’s not playing to his full potential,” yadayadayada. Some of these points may actually be true, it just annoys me to see it coming from strangers who think they know the guy personally. I’m not saying their comments are lies, just that they come across as pretentious. I would rather hear from top players, figureheads, and leo himself on his current mentality; most of them say he just wants to have fun by this point, iirc.
- coach/jokercope: if I hear “should have gone joker” one more time…. Then these smooth brains wonder how joker can lose. It’s been 3 years everyone! No matchup stays the exact same, and leo joker is still human. Please learn a thing or two about MUs.
-parent: “it’s the girlfriend!” This can be passed off as a joke, but it’s the internet. You never know how far gone someone is on something. I’m convinced that some who comment this really want to control leo’s personal life or something. Leave the man and his folks alone, yeah!? Wtf are you, his dad?
To conclude, why can’t we all just acknowledge that no one stays top 1 forever, and more importantly, respect the agency of the players? Leo is not a god, and the people who beat him actually exist and continue to improve. Leo’s been at the top for 3 years, plus he’s dealing with recurring health problems. Let him enjoy the game as he pleases. He’s not obligated to be game 4 leo.

After watching this entire video I could honestly say that something is up with Leo. No offense to Jackal he did extremely well and is a good player but after watching Leo’s old videos and this one, there is no way he should’ve lost

These commentators are not the best. I dont expect much, but I didn't like the weirdly placed energy, and that last round of the set was just... strange talks. No hype from one dude, and other dude trying too hard to make some meta knight hope lmao, if you guys see this please dont bring that energy in matches you commentate forward. I appreciate the dude trying to keep it interesting though, but the other guy just lost steam and was a debbie downer lmao
👍ty but for the energy, me and my fellow commentator Jett were fighting against some audio issues. The pacing started to get really awkward when all of a sudden, I started to get reverb and echoing of my own voice from my headset. It caused me to start mix up my own words and try to work around it before having to tell production to see if they can get it fixed asap during the set.
You're entitled to your own opinions, but other than that small hiccup and some others I think me and Jett did a pretty good job. I'd love to hear more input though, I'm always seeking to improve my commentary

I should've specified that I meant towards the end, and during this video. I didn't watch other parts, but the raw commentary during the last part of the set was just kind of off for me. There were times where one of you were talking about the last game, and the person that was yelling and kind of talking over the other person at times just... lost it when MKLeo picked meta knight, even when he was in the lead and got a cool shadow loop kill off the top lol. Legit to whoever that was, ask them or you yourself watch the game before the meta knight game, then that one. Stark difference. One of you kept stumbling over your words and analyzing the set by the literal second, and I think that to whomever that was, to just slow down and specify precise moments after they happen. But to be fair, I couldn't tell there were audio issues, so i didn't know you guys were struggling with that. I didn't mean to imply you were TERRIBLE, I just said you guys were not the best at this, but hearing your own voice would throw off that, so it sounds like production just drew a hammer in your guys's foot. I'll be sure to pay attention to other sets you both commentate. I just know that there have been times where production was not great, and despite those issues, said commentators were able to deliver consistently entertaining, insightful and knowledgeable commentary, but shit just happens sometimes so I get what you're saying.
I just mean to say that for me, who didn't know production had issues behind the scenes (I saw the obvious ones like waiting to switch the display over, I think there was even one that had someone's name incorrectly and that caused one of you guys to say the incorrect name lol), I wasn't entirely pleased with what I was hearing as a viewer, so I just wanted to share, cause for me, commentary is pretty important to get right with smash, and production shooting you in the foot like that must've been frustrating.

I don't know why many people still say that MkLeo is "the best Smash player in the world", he's definitely not what he used to be and now there are other players that cause him a lot of trouble or even defeat him. He's not bad, but neither the "Smash god" people claim him to be, losing 3-0 in a losers bracket is not what one could expect from "the best of the world" (and I'm not underestimating Jakal's skills).
