Do you have a good tip on how to make the flam drags not to long and are still within the sixteenth note spacing and how to play them that fast with you still being able to hear it without it sounding like a mess. IDK if this makes sense 😂
Subdivide the note. Treat them as if they're 32nd notes and work toward that as your diddle interpretation. As far as working the speed up for consistency, as with everything else- you're gonna have to start slower and work the speed up from playing slower first. If what you're playing is sounding "like a mess," slow it down and practice until it sounds consistent, then slightly speed it up over time. I know it sounds boring, but there are no shortcuts.
Ah yes, now I will perform flamus non dragus with my drumline composed of regular people👍
what does this mean
@@erraticboss168 he’ll do it so the out the drags so it’s easier
I always teach this as a swiss drag exercise that becomes PDDs in the back half. Great for high school lines.

How were you able to add the click track to Musescore Drumline? Thanks!
What are all the rudiments so I can learn them properly
Flam accents, flam taps, flam drags, pata fla flas, (flam drags pattys actually),
7 stroke roll (or actually a tap 9-either way), paradiddle diddles,=. I think that's
it- oh I missed one- FLAM! Duh!
@@DennisJohnsonDrummer thank you
@@DanielHill115 No problem. I love this exercise. It's part of my daily routine.
Add a countdown in the video so people can play along! Hard to hit the first notes without one
Wrong rhythm, in the second to last measure the eighth note on 3 should be replaced with 2 sixteenths with diddles, otherwise nice work!
there's actually 2 ways to play it. if you watch flammus videos from different years, scv plays that part differently. its correct
Depends on the year. The 5 stroke was in 1997
