I bought this radio after watching your videos (and Far Out Farms) and after the patch. It is excellent on FM, and excellent on WiFI. There are a number of websites to find the information to add new streaming stations to your favorites.

Great info, thank you. The bad news is you might convince me to buy another radio! 🤣

I have an Ocean Digital Internet radio. I have a few international broadcasters put in memory. It's nice for when shortwave conditions are not good, it's the wrong time of day to hear what I want on SW and other sineros.
I think anyone that's into any and all aspects of the radio hobby should also have an Internet radio. I get told all the time that it's not radio. Well, I'm not going to post what I think about these people here.
Just some I have programmed into mine are, Radio Australia, radio Havana Cuba, voice Of Greece, Vietnam, China Radio International, radio Romania, DW, radio New Zealand, VOA, BBC and a few others.
I'm a 4 decade SW listener like yourself, and I agree internet radios are fine. Also I think they make a good companion to SW. But you can't convince everyone.
How many times have we heard " The Internet is killing shortwave! I've responded to that comment so many times I can't do it anymore.

I have Sangean WFR 28C internet radio and ordered Tecsun H-501x. Both separately are the best way.

This seems to be a very nice radio with some problems what will eventually be addresd with firmware upgrades and possibly a new model. The main problem, as I see it, it the aggregator for the internet radio side. Its an unknown Chinese service that could be shut down and controlled at their whim. Several aggregator services have already been shut down turning some well known internet radios into expensive paperweights. Of course this radio has the shortwave side but still the internet side would be gone. I would like to see manufactures of internet radios give the user the choice of aggregators and not just be linked to the one built in.

Nice thoughts...i agree - we have to be open to internet radio .... i used to be against it, now on reflection i see its positive side. As you suggest when sw or whatever you are looking for has poor conditions..you can still noodle around with streaming radio...all the best.

It appears that this radio has backlit buttons which for me is very important. It doesn’t seem to be a feature discussed much. Can you confirm that this radio has that capability?

I let my LC 90 battery run down and now it won't charge . Any suggestions? It's only 6 months old. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Okay, picture this: first off, my satellite subscription smart tv loses the signal during a storm, my tv then asks me if I’d like to livestream the program I’m currently watching? I pick up the remote and choose “yes”, my program starts up again via the internet. Why couldn’t the Choyong LC90 do that when a tuned radio station signal is lost? Also, let’s say I want to listen to a Canadien’s hockey game. I select 690 on my radio set on medium wave. Nothing is received, so my radio asks me “what station are you seeking?” I tap in ”CKGM” and it begins streaming the game.

Is it right that not all shortwave stations are also online?

Almost all stations of the past are not online and a lot of the stations left are not online too ..

I find most devices that can stream internet do not give you all the features you get from just streaming from your cell phone and using a Bluetooth speaker. Saying that, any portable shortwave radio with bluetooth letting you connect your cell phone would give you everything the LC90 would give you plus the ability to stream subscriptions you might have for example
Sirius Radio. This is one of the reasons I gave up on buying a internet stand alone radio because you can't stream everything a cell phone will let you.
