- We would like to guide you through A NEW 4 minute cardio blaster TABATA for beginners using just bodyweight.
What is Tabata?
•Tabata is a workout that lasts four minutes only for one set, but it's likely to be one of the longest four minutes you've ever endured. The structure of the program is as follows:
* Work out hard for 20 seconds
* Rest for 10 seconds
* Complete 8 rounds
You push yourself as hard as you can for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds. This is one set. You'll complete eight sets of each exercise. You can do pretty much any exercise you wish. You can do squats, push-ups, burpees or any other exercise that works your large muscle groups. Kettlebell exercises work great, too.
However we have kept 8 different exercises on each round to keep the workout more interesting and fun. Our Tabata routine looks like this:
1. Overhead Jack
2. Half burpees
3. Mountain climber
4. High knees
5. Bicycle crunches
6. X Jumps
7. Plank Jack
8. Star Jump
Rest 60 Seconds and Repeat 3 times
The pace in the video is shown for the beginners but you think it is easy for you then you can increase the pace. The goal is to keep the heartbeat pumping as high as possible. So follow the same routine with your desired pace. We bet it will challenge all of you guys as it definitely did challenge us.

I previewed the video 1st thinking I got this, it's only 4 minutes....boy was I wrong. I worked up a good sweat. By the 6th round I was like please be over soon lol. This is a great workout in 4 minutes, I will be incorporating this into my am routine before work & my cardio routines on the weekends Awesome video, thank you!!!

I want to stick to this workout for 5/7 days as a start, 3 rounds per day. Will write it here as motivation, and to see the progress:
Day 0: only one round, my body trembled right after lol. I guess because I don't do this as first exercise and it's the first time ever.
Day 1: done 3 rounds, did it in the early evening, also did a few workouts several hours before.
Day 2: done, slightly feel easier than yesterday(?). I took a nap and eat carbs before, also the latest workout is in the morning.
Day 3: done, definitely become easier! I think I am gonna start incorporating one round of this workout to help elevate my heart rate to fat burning zone, since I am prioritizing the fat loss for now. Thanks for the video, The Fitologist team!

Hi Team, I want to lose belly fat as I currently weigh 5 kgs more than my required weight. If I do Tabatha everyday will I be able to lose excess weight? Also what kind of diet should I follow?

It totally depends on your personal preference.
IMO u burn more calories with empty stomach so before breakfast.

On average, a 4-minute Tabata session can help you burn around 60-80 calories, depending on factors like your weight, intensity and effort level.
Everytime I do this exercise I use my asthma spray 😢 I really feel that I'm doing effort without going to gym
