But his subtle singing is one of the best voices I've heard in Kpop. Thank you for pointing out those good qualities of his voice because he sometimes underestimates himself. Appreciation cment for woozi, he's the record label producer of seventeen and has composed and written 99% of svt's discography. He's responsible of assigning the lines to the members cz he knows their calibre very well and even has coached them to sing during their pre debut days

He does it all, composing, writing the lyrics, he makes the first guides, assigns each parts for the members, directs the recordings for all of them... He produces from beginning to end, distributes the lines for all of them and guides them into the songs he made, it's so much work. All that on top of being an idol who sings, dances, goes on many show programs and promoting activities!

Jeonghan's voice is actually what got me into SVT more when I was still discovering them and not a lot of people have immediate appreciation for Jeonghan's vocals (compared to the other powerhouse vocal members of the group) so I absolutely love how you aprreciated and pointed out his strengths when singing.
Indeed, he became my bias not because of his visuals but because of his voice. DK and Seungkwan's voices are noticible but there's really something on Jeonghannie's voice that hook me. He just really need to be confident and not self-conscious of his voice.
@@phantomgale377 IKR? His vocal color is actually really unique and adds variety to their songs. TT I remembered listening to "20" before (just listening without the color coded lyrics and all so I didn't know who's who yet) when I was still unfamiliar with them and everytime it's his part I keep on saying "who the heck is this singing? you Sir are going to be my favorite"

This song was performed 5 year ago and DK’s voice so good outstanding since that time but why he was not recognized back then? He’s so underrated and thank you so much for digging this gem out and he deserves it
bc kpop doesn’t care for head voice they only care for belters thats why seungkwan gets alot of attention but now that svt has grown a lot more popular ppl have been recognizing dk vocals bc of his clarity and tone but ppl are getting mad bc dk is getting more recognition that seungkwan now

Habit is one of the CROWN JEWELS of Seventeen. The units have so many single unit only songs, and the Vocal Unit ones are all so good. But my favorite Seventeen songs are Habit, Second Life, Kidult, Don’t Wanna Cry, and currently, Shadow. There are several vocal unit only songs, or songs that they’ve given vocal unit only versions. I recommend Second Life, Adore U, Hug. Also I really recommend you watch the live performance of Kidult/Fallin Flower, two of the best full group vocal songs.
Seungkwan's vocal is crazy, he's the one who can resonance in 3rd gen along with Chen and Baekhyun from EXO
So thankful that you guys appreciated Jeonghannie’s voice . For normal people ( like us ) who don’t now anything about vocal , we only know high notes are good vocals and cannot recognize soft and angelic voice like jeonghan . Apparently there are 13 vocals in seventeen . 🫶🏻
They even sing live while dancing hard choreo, no wonder they slay vocals in that moving platform.

the comment about jeonghan's voice is true. he is often overlooked due to not being a belter, but i always love his voice the most. it very melodic, and i dont knw much about techniques but his voice always seems like he's going to cry which makes me so much emotional too
Loving your seventeen videos! I would like to recommend the Rolling Stone "In My Room" . Vocal team performs Pinwheel. Hip hop unit performs Trauma and The performance unit surprised all Carats with a new version of Lilili Yabbay. The Fandom was incredibly proud of all of them. I could listen to that compilation everyday.

This fandom always overlooked Jeonghan's vocals and reduced him to only his visuals... Thank you so much for appreciating his vocals and highlighting his strengths.... Jeonghan's vocals is my favourite in Seventeen followed by Seungkwan who is also quite overlooked when compared to DK.
Seungkwan is my ult bias here in SVT (as much as I want you to also talk more about his voice) but I have to agree that Seungkwan's voice is already appreaciated and praised a LOT since debut, meanwhile FINALLY recently more people notice, appreciate and praise DK's voice. DK's voice is SUPER clear, I'm so surprised myself when I heard him at their 'Be The Sun' concert. He made the song, "Imperfect Love" (vocal unit) sounded so magical.
Again, as a listener, each of us must have our own preference. All the members have their own voice, color, technique etc and all sounded good and beautiful. For me, I like Seungkwan's type of voice more, the raspy, his emotion really touched me, I could hear him sing all day long.
I think it'll be more interesting if you also check out their solos, maybe we can learn 13 different types of voices lol.

To get to know Joshua's voice a little more, I recommend listening to 2 minus 1 where he sings with Vernon
i loved it when you guys said jeonghan's "yodel" requires a lot of control/calmness, because i think that's exactly how i'd describe jeonghan's personality, as a fan who's been following seventeen for almost a decade! he's clearly one of the most relaxed members, always soothing and playful even when the others are more stressed out, and i think it's so interesting that that shows in his singing.
What amazing about SVT is they have 13 color vocals, & how they harmonize it and fit each line of the music perfectly for each member. Like when listening to them you won't hear just that high note there's so much texture & patterns that makes it so beautiful & it fits perfectly without 1 being out of that perfect circle.
and their each colors is also highlight not just the main vocalist but all.
You should definitely watch their performance at the 2022 AAA

@@whatscheol2003 seungkwan has a more 'throaty' voice when he sings, whereas dk, dino and hoshi's voices sorta comes from their chest(?) so they project more sound/they have louder voices when they sing. I hope it makes sense hahaha

i love that you mention how they shift their stance when the stages start moving! as you said, singing is so physical and it makes their stability during their demanding choreographies even more amazing. maybe a live performance featuring their dancing would be a nice watch for you all! i’d love to hear what you have to say about their ability to sing and dance. they are true performers! i’m sure some fellow carats have some great recommendations!

"cohesive" exactly. woozi is their member, their vocal unit leader. and the group producer. he knows seventeen's vocals best and so he writes them parts that suits them well. the boys' vocals are his instruments and he knows to utilize them into a song well. he tends to push sk and dk into stronger parts, jeonghan and joshua into softer acoustic songs and he really adjusts his voice well to either lead or support a part of the song.

I'm loving the appreciation you gave to each member XD, especially towards Jeonghan and Joshua, since they have softer voices and are often overlooked behind vocal powerhouses DK and Seungkwan. And Woozi...whew. This man does it all; writing, composing, producing. Woozi also often takes over the backing vocals. A lot of those "yeah yeah"s and "oooh"s in between the lines are his. He doesn't take the center stage often vocal-wise, preferring to let his members get the spotlight while he focuses on support. Still, when he does, it's breathtaking. His part in "Second Life" lives rent free in my mind. I hope one day you guys react to it too!
