Random fact about Pretty U: Their CEO at the time initially didn't approve of the sofa performance but Hoshi and their performance director (a.k.a the incredible Teacher Hyerim) made a presentation and convinced him. They dragged that sofa to all the music shows and set a precedent for big props on regular weekly performances

theyre actually the most synchronized kpop group according to computer analyses and that with 13 members 😭 the more members the harder to be synchronized but they make it look so easy

fun fact! seventeen actually are the most synchronized group in kpop!! second are verivery and third are txt :) (that may have changed already, not sure, but seventeen are still first!)

Svt is the most synchronized boy group, but most synchronized group is iz*one, second seventeen, 3rd is gfriend, the only reason gfriend topped seventeen before was because they have lower members, but thats a weak argument, although svt proved they are very well synchronized and raised the percentage of their synchronization to past 96% i think, meaning they're second, to iz*one

I know people keep mentioning this one, but 24H. It’s truly mesmerizing. They are essentially dancing in a clock formation. The whole time. It’s really quite amazing.

Some personal favs for svt dance practices - getting closer, thanks, clap, don't wanna cry, call call call, 24H. Even if you don't make it into a reaction video, just enjoy them! Have fun :)
1:14 no DK's not on any gliding thing, they have a behind version of this dance practice shot from the back so you can see all the shenanigans but he's just using his super powerful legs to glide (..his ass in front of Hoshi's face while Hoshi waits for his timing to pop up ahahaha Hoshi talked about it once I think, about having DK's bum right in his face cause he had to crouch down ahahahaa)
"Fallin Flower" i'd say is the most aesthetic choreo they have you should watch :) and one more thats my personal fave is "Call Call Call" theyre both japanese songs by them!
oooo yes, fallin flower is gorgeous to see and call call call is also a personal fav of mine, its just so energetic it makes you want to dance along (and then fail because unlike svt i have not been training in dance for years lol)

That is Xu Minghao (birth name (Chinese)) (Seo Myeongho (Korean name)), goes by the stage name 'The8', but fans just call him Hao ^^
He used to do martial arts as a kid if I'm not mistaken
They're the most synchronized group in kpop and not just that they're also comedians and all of them have INSANE VOCALS. I'm really really super proud to stan them honestly 😂❤❤
getting closer is the best choreography i’ve ever seen. there’s a lot of good stuff out there but in terms of creativity and synchronization, nothing beats that one

You need to watch Don't wanna Cry, Getting Closer, Maestro, Fallin Flower dance practice. These are my favorite SVT dance practices cause you can see the diversity of their dance skills in these dance practices. And If you're going to react to their early music video, they don't have much budget during early days cause their company almost got bankrupt.
If you love synchronization, i wholeheartedly recommend The Boyz. They are next in line for my personal favorite dancing groups. They have 11 members and are actually flabbergasting. Especially their Road to Kingdom and Kingdom performances!

Not sure if someone has mentioned this, but the reason for the cut/dissolve in Super was cuz they had to redo S.Coups' part since he didn’t land his jump/toss every time. It's a difficult stunt to do while singing/rapping, so the edited cut makes perfect sense instead of making them all do the whole choreo again just for one part. Also, the dissolve at The8's part was probably due to him still recovering from his injury too.

seventeen has the best performances! they are called the PERFORMERS of kpop for a reason!! they won so many awards for it! love to see u react to their dance! i would love to see you react to their killing voice too! then u would have the complete vocal, dance and mv sight! and i would also like to recommend the seventeen guide to u! ty for reacting.

*24H* is definitely the next dance practice to watch, it's probably the most creative choreography you will ever see. It is a Japanese song, and the choreos tend to be more stylised, so *Fallin' Flower* is also a must. If you want a more powerful song and choreo, watch *Getting Closer*, it is very different to lots of their other dances, and so clever!
Honestly, if I list the video, I'll end up listing all of it. So might as well watch all😂 but I highly recommend Fearless stage cuz that was 🔥🔥 too. If you like Minghao (that one you keep mentioning, the man in green parka), you'll love Thanks and My I. Oh, Mansae also really good. Honestly, just watch all, please. I can't even pick one🤣🤣🤣
YES❗❗Please do a guide❗❗I'd love for you to learn about all the individual members' personalities! I would recommend the Super Long Guide to Seventeen 2023 version. It's pretty long(prob cause it's 13 members) but it's a GREAT one and I'd say is the best guide, even though it's not up-to-date. There are 4 parts: Intro, HipHop Team, Performance Team, and Vocal Team.

The synchronization is even more impressive when you consider their height difference 5'5" to 6'2". That's bigger than a lot of KPop groups.
You should check out svt japanese releases dance practices, like for real! 24H, Fallin' Flower, dream and happy ending
I highly, highly recommend watching their dance for 24H. It is so visually pleasing their transition and how they played around with the clock theme to match the song.

You've should definitely react to that video that played at 10:46 (Seventeen's Killing Voice). You get to see just how amazing they are vocally especially since its live!
Also, Pretty U does have an MV but keep in mind that it's really low budget because that was the time when Seventeen's company almost went bankrupt. Thankfully, Pretty U won them their first award.

As a person with adhd as well and having also been in marching band and still is, I related to you so much more than I thought I would 😭I get so hyped up by intense dancing where I literally feel myself moving without thinking LMAO and I agree with the marching band comment. I play flute and it is SO HARD to walk backwards and diagonally, playing at the same time and also trying to get to the right spot.
i also especially love their Dance-Musical version of Pretty U! 😍 Seventeen's just getting better and better with time but still their rookie mindset is what I think sets them apart. 9 years in the industry and still, their passion for their craft is still blazing! By the way, also two of my fave choreos of them is Don't Wanna Cry and Home. i think you'd like those too! looking forward to part 3 of your reacting to their dance practices! 😊
I like that you said that the bar has been set rly high and it has to get better, but it was only in the boom boom era. Their fan base and popularity has only continued to grow steadily from there 😂

As a dancer, it's very fun to listen to you like explain things in terms that aren't the ones we'd usually use? IDK, I find it very interesting because I know what you mean, I've just never heard it described like that before! :)
I think you're talking about Isolations? Where a dancer moves one part of the body. And yeah, at the studio we usually have painters tape to mark middle and both quarter stages, left and right! They also usually have them marked on competition stages too, but we were always taught that whoever is in the front, wherever they stop, becomes center even if they aren't lined up. It looks better to just have everyone be off center but in perfect formation than most of everyone to be centered and for the front person to be off 💀

I recommend their Jpop songs (Call Call Call, Fallin flower, 24h). The famous inside joke "Woozi travels around the world" also comes from Call call call choreography
Fun fact: Svt uses sign language in their choreography a lot. The touch on the face in Pretty U means "pretty", the way they made a sphere with their hands in World means "world", the way they made a reverse v in Home means "home"
Another fun fact: The way they move their hand in Fallin flower is how petals fall
Should watch their MelOn performance of Pretty U, even with Joshua’s mess up they still rocked it
Also watch the 2023 MAMA Super performance, Th8’s dance break is perfection

the type of dance technique you're talking about at 13:30 is called isolation and its a foundation for popping and many other dance styles :)

Please dear god, you need to watch Don't Wanna Cry. It's an incredibly famous song/dance of theirs that went incredibly viral. It's so beautiful and many other reactors/dancers have commented on just how hard and beautiful of a choreography it is!

Don't know if these two songs have been suggested below or not, but a MUST see is "Thanks" (absolutely BEAUTIFUL choreo that will blow you away); and Call, Call, Call. You'll get tired just watching it!!
