- Ori and the Will of the Wisps is the sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest. Once more you'll play as the little forest spirit Ori as he tries to save his owl friend Ku and bring light back to the forest.

@8:00 in my game the trajectory of the fire ball is way off it just slams into the wood before getting to the spiky section

3:47 These segments have destroyed the game for me. Not fun, just tedious and frustrating. That coupled with absolutely no indication as to which wisp you need to get first, or that there is a certain order. The first wisp I went for I got all the way to the Wisp door before it told me I was meant to go there last.

aaah i don't like these segments too. i wa thinking about a way to proceed in the snow level and when i saw how long the cauldron shoots these wisps.... Damn that's cruel as a passage. i still like this game
You can get the wisps in any order
To everyone saying you can get the wisps in order, I tried to get the Heart first in the desert area and it literally said 'you have to collect the other 3 first' so I'm pretty sure that's what this person was talking about too.

He breezes through some painful sections like they were nothing.
I enjoy that you leave in all the trial and errors instead of pretending like you got through it on the first time. Thank you for explaining this so well!! I tried this level several times before finally coming here and it was finally by watching this video that I was able to complete this round.
I appreciate that also. However, this walkthrough is not his *first* playthrough. It’s obvious he’s played through at least once. He already knows where certain hidden items are before he even gets to them, and even what they are. No one can navigate some of those super difficult environmental hazards that perfectly on their first time.
In order to make a decent walkthrough, you have to play through at least once, to give you a good working knowledge of the game and the areas, etc.
However, even if you’ve played through once, you’ll still make an occasional mistake or die a few times on your second playthrough, so I really appreciate that he leaves those in for us to see.
I remember when I first reached Baurs Reach and I just stood in the same spot for 5 minutes to admire the music
It is my second favorite, but the finale kicked more when the game is close to the end
4:40 Breaking the wall was the easy part, but you hit the lantern on first try. Took me at least 20. If we only had infinite time to aim the arrow.

ATTENTION! If you’re stuck at 19:30 and can’t get up to the rest, bound up to the left and blow the fireplace out using the same skill you used to wake the bear, this freezes the Venus fly trap clam back to stillness, as well as the water underneath.
Im stuck having frozen the water as theres a gate above the frozen water. In all the videos it looks open but cant find where to open it. Anyone know how to open this final gate?
Ah - I found it. Got to light the lantern in the sublevel above the gate.

I learned this the hard way. After wasting so much time trying I moved on only to come back much later bad breeze through it.

I’m hear trying to figure out how to light the lantern at 7:43. When you blow the pot, the flame follows your right down through the openings. But when I do it (30 times), the flame hits the hanging wall and dies
@ 4:40 you could have bashed a fireball back at the ice wall to melt it :)

I cannot for the life of me bash the fire all the way!! It always dies out or I can't move fast enough to reach it to bash it to the end. Baurs Reach is the bane of my existence at this point

Just got stuck playing through myself but at 18:45 he lights a candle which opens that pathway.

8:02 was wondering why I'm having so much trouble at this part, that's not what happens in my game. In mine the fireball hits the corner there and dissipates and there's no way for me to progress
exactly same! and i cant figure out how to work w the fireball if it does that because i try to catch it before it hits the corner and then shoot it in the direction it’s supposed to go but by the time i drop down it hit the ground already :/

That part with the pot and the flame having to juggle it is so annoying, I must have been stuck on it for a good half hour so far. The arrow is so frustrating, you don't have long enough to aim it
At 15:30 I've been stuck trying to fire the fireball thing but it keeps going too straight and when I try to charge it less it wont let me bash on it what am i doing wrong
This game was so neat, but there were too many stages that took me 20-30 attempts to complete. For me, that's not fun, that's aggravation. I'm going to have to let this one go, what a shame.
If you’re not good at the game that’s fine but don’t fault it for that.

Hey man, not sure if you knew this yet but the wall of ice at 4:48 doesn't require an ability. You need to aim the fire from the pot back towards the ice.

Yeah youre voice would fit for stories to tell... 😁 is it australian accent? Ori2 is my personally hardest metroidvania game ever i haved played. Before this finished awesomeness like GHOST 👻 SONG and F.I.S.T. ♥ I never really liked metroidvania style games, but once in a while i found something special for me, like these three which i mentioned (they demand skill without a doubt). 😉

Just playing this through for the 1st time. Completed the 1st game. Was one of my fav gaming experiences of all time. Loving this one too but needed this video as im 71% in n got stuck. Not thinking i can dash off of my own fire that i throw. God knows how i made it this far lol
This part right here is gradually turning me off the game. It's awful to go through, every part is infuriatingly difficult. One tiny error and you have to start again. It's a fucking nightmare. This guide is really helpful but still, hitting 3 consecutive bashes with exact accuracy is ridiculous and borderline impossible.

with the third fireball pot thing (where you have to climb up, mine literally broke. its firing in the wrong direction, its just firing straight at the wood surrounding the spikes and glowing piece. that means i cant go down to redirect it

I got so mad at the jump sequence at 19:30. I tried this over 10 times and its the only part where i was frustrated in this whole entire game. I hate how sometimes you get trapped between the mouth opening of the platform and the rock beneath and its instant death 😭

if at 8:00 for you, the fire ball hits the wall instead of going down like it's supposed to, simply just exit the game!! Make sure to shut down the whole game, not just leave and rejoin your save file. Good luck!!!

Yeah, Blind Forest is a murder-fest. A much harder game than this one. But, just as I start to think I have this game's number, it kicks my butt.

I don’t get it, but that first cauldron is doing something different for me. When I use flap the first time it just makes the cauldron glow red, then when i use it again the cauldron shoots the fireball, but instead of falling down it hits the wall. What am i doing wrong?

Apparently it was just some glitch for me. I closed the game opened it up again and then it worked fine

If you're having trouble juggling around the snapper at 19:40, you can stand on a tiny safe spot between the platform and the snapper's right jaw. You can lob your fireball upwards from there.

How do I open the door to the right of the spirit well?
@22:03 I didn't know about the Light Burst skill when I got to this area, so I had to direct the fireball from the cooking pot down to the lamp, by using a sequence of about 3 or 4 Bashes.
Same here. I also went the wrong way in Baur's Reach before getting the light burst (the area East of the well) but somehow managed to guide the fireball to the lantern to activate those updrafts

I have been trying to get the ore at 11:11 for LITERALLY half an hour and I can't do it. It's so irritating I have literally copied this timing down to the millisecond but I just can't get above this tree... so infuriating

At 7:48 my fireball catches the corner of that wood every time instead of dropping as low as your so I dont have an los on the latern thing. Im on switch btw.
I think it's bugged on the Switch. Try to restart the game and see if that fixes it.

Thank you all! I found this video trying to figure out how to get the fireball to avoid the wall, and it turns out it was a glitch. I restarted and it fixed. Hopefully they patch this at some point.
I just can't get the hang of the flying bit, the tutorial seems to get the feather out and then it glides really easily. When I get it out it becomes uncontrollable and I smash into the walls constantly.
I have no idea how to complete this spirit trial because of it, I have literally been trying to do it for days and it's impossible. Thinking of giving up the game because of it ☹️.

You mean the light burst or the spirit smash? Light Burst is from the ancestral tree at the 10 min mark and Spirit Smash is from the Wellspring Glades.
if you get spirit smash from Opher you can then upgrade it and it does the spike thing if that is what you meant
No wonder I was stuck. I had to light up a furnace? That wasn't anywhere explained or introduced.
I stink I don't like to look at these videos constantly but yeah I killed that glowing red snail thing before I got the spirit light ( after u open the door). I know they rejuvenate but me going back some didn't do anything dang it
The part around 19:40 is just absolutely terrible game design. I don't understand how anybody in the developer team thought this lazy mess was appropriate.

Hi…great walkthrough. Quick question does the game get even more tricky/difficult? It was, until this area, becoming one of my favourite games. But i really don’t want to spend hours just to progress a screen width and then spend another hour for the next screen. The whole flow of the game has ground to a halt.

I can't make the jump at 20:00. For whatever reason when i do a light burst from that carnivorous plant thing it doesn't bash the light burst. I'm pulling out my hair over this jump and it looks like it is necessary to complete the game.
I finally made that jump but then their is a barrier I can't get past. How do you open that?

Can someone please help at 7:30 where he uses the fire to light the thing at the bottom? The fire ALWAYS hits the wall on the wall down whereas in his screen it just barely misses the wall. Why does mine always hit the wall? There’s no way to redirect it unless I bash it before it hits the wall but that would make it impossible to complete the task. Like I think my game is bugged. Anyone else having this problem???

I’m on the switch. It had to of been a bug. I restarted the game and it fixed itself lol.

Puzzlebox Props restart your console and it may fix it. It fixed it for me

I spent about 10 hours backtracking not knowing where to go......all I had to do was push that rock down! My head hurts.
9:58 so THAT'S how you get the light burst! I went the other way first, and got to an area I don't think I was supposed to be able to reach so early on, and the tooltip at the top kept telling me to use bash on a light burst to reach evern higher, I was confused because I had no idea what a light burst was
