Ori better win best music and other awards at this year's gaming awards. One of the best game I have played this generation. Some of the best music I have ever heard in a video game. Phenomenal of a game
Yeah. The difficulty spike at the end was insane. But the game did a pretty good job at teaching you how to utilize the bash and the launch up to this point, so I was able to eventually get the hang of it.
Exactly. I am currently on the last phase of that boss fight and I’m getting angry because I CANT SEE SHIT, everything is the same colour and the little falling thingies are same colour as Ori, I just keep loosing him in all that mess
The first time I played this game, I 100% it after fighting Shriek just because moving around in this game is so fun I love how Ori's game is more agility than strength : his game isn't hitting hard (even though he can, look at the spear), but being nimble and dodging. And the game make you FEEL it

So when I got the shard that gives you extra Spirit Light for beating monsters, in exchange for increasing all enemies health and damage by 70% (or the "Hard Mode" shard. Henceforth called "Shard Mode") I equipped that thing immediately. And then I forgot about it. The result being I fought most the bosses in the game with that thing equipped. I just thought "Wow, these bosses are pretty hard. They have a LOT of health." But I just sorta thought that was intentional. Like one of the few criticism of the original game was it needed some boss fights. And heck, more combat in general. Both of which this game delivered in spades. Anyway, got to Shriek here, and went to swap some shards. "Looks like I finally need to use that damage resist shard" and such. Then I remembered that Shard Mode I had on. I almost wish I left it on now, just so I could brag about beating this freaking bird at +70% damage taken and boss +70% health. *Almost* That even with it off, MAN that bird is a real pain.
It was the only boss that only took me one try, I could not believe it. I was possessed. And I raced through it, and at 6:21, as that music que hit and the theme becomes more "light of nibel"-ish I was on her last pieces of health and I felt that this was it. One of my greatest gaming experiences of all time
The one I breezed through was the one right before this, the willow stone. I had the arrow burst x4 shard equipped, the arrow firing 25% faster shard, the shard to deal 30% bonus damage when over half health, and the deal bonus damage to flying enemies. Literally killed it in under 15 seconds, maybe under 10 lmao. EDIT: After beating the game I completed the willow stone in 4.36 seconds on the time trial hahaha.
