Nice set up and videos. I saw Kevin Talbot absolutely abuse his stock DBXLE 2.O and it survived some brutal stuff. This buggie is very durable and nice looking 👍
Yea its a great rig . Prob one of the best rtr on the market. Once you give it some more power it's a complete animal. This is our second one. Going to race it against our xlx2/1100kv powered one this week
I know this is couple of years old but have a new dbxl-e 2 and the centre diff has the square pieces the shafts slot into, but no washers between the square parts and the planetary gears? Instructions do show washers but wondered if anyone knew if there had been a change.
I went with the max 5 esc and the leopard 58113 1050kv motor. That is one powerful motor, it has already stripped my 17t pinion ( mesh was correct). But now for whatever reason, the pinion is moving. I have Loctite on the set screw and tightened as tight as I can get it ( when it slipped, it broke a tooth on the spur gear was using the stock 13t pinion when that happened ), so now I need new gears. I have fast eddie bearings all around, aluminum diif housings f/r. I might need to come down in diff fluid wt a little though, I have 20 mil in the center and 500k in f/r.
It's been great so far. Join our dbxl owners group on Facebook. I would double check the front cv axles pins. Put lock tight on the grub screw. And check the bolts going through the chassie into the metal motor mount. Add locktight there too. Other than that they are very solid. I have 3 now :).
Hey! It's a quad hands jumbo soldering station . It is awesome I use it all the time! I got it here. Def one of the better tools I have around www.quadhands.com/products/quadhands-jumbo-workbench
Hey SJ I have a question for you. I recently installed the xlx2 1100kv in my dbxle 2.0. I was doing speed runs up and down the street and after about 15 minutes esc goes into LVC. When it hit lvc I had no brakes so car truck was doing like 40mph coasting. Had a long walk to get the car. Is there a option in settings somewhere to apply brakes when it hits lvc? Funny thing is when I checked the batteries I was at 52%. Right at storage charge.
@@RCKYOTA The volts per cell were at 3.85. This happened yesterday. I'll check the logs after I get home from work today. But yea I though it should go into limp mode also. Weird.
Ok I fixed the issue. Car went into limp mode this time. I ended up re-binding the receiver and doing the throttle calibration. Now its fine. Went into the castle setup and turned the braking down to 25 and punch level to 50. Even with punch set to 50 the truck still launches hard from a dead stop. 🙂
Ok got another question for ya SJ. So I finally picked up a 18 tooth pinion. Installed it yesterday. So is the 18 tooth only for speed runs only? If I were to do just normal bashing around, stop and go stuff and jumping would that be ok? Sorry for the questions but I'm still learning and don't wanna mess anything up by overheating the electronics.
Glad it helped you, as for the connector It's already cut in half basically you just fill it up so it doesn't overflow out the sides.so it's like a pipe sliced horizontally imagine water running through it . Sorta how you want the solder to be. Just half full
You would probably have to find a hobby shop in your country. It would be very expensive getting somthing this large shipped over seas. But if you can't I would reach out to horizon hobbies. They own losi now and see if they can help you .
Just subbed love the dbxl e 2.0 vids I have the same one I just put xlx2 1100kv combo in mine and Iam getting excessive load error beeps Question what gearing are you running? Thanks in advance
@@RCKYOTA Thanks for the reply I appreciate that man Here is my setup Xlx2 1100kv Changed the diff fluid to earplugs wanted to see it do wheelies 18tpinion stock spur 9000mah/100c zeee batteries I also own an outcast 8s with same system running 1/1 gearing And a kraton 8s same system running 29t/47spur and haven’t gotten any excessive load errors
@@Dos_Rc the ear plugs are probably your issue. It's a really heavy car and the ear plugs basically lock up the center diff. That's a lot of load being placed on the motor and all the running gear. Maybe go down to 500k. Mine does wheelies with the stock fluid but I try to keep the nose down cause it slows the cars acceleration down a ton
Hey man, just wanted to let you know, as a new DBXLE owner, your the best resource on UA-cam. Nice work, much appreciated👍
Thanks Terry! I appreciate it 🙏
I AGREE
good video thanks for sharing will use this when I do mine.
You're welcome 😊

hello friend, because you use front rear and central oils. you are great
Awesome video very nice tutorial good stuff on the electronics swap great job thumbs up 👍

Thanks for the video by the way. Very helpful 👍
It should def have the shins/washers between the planetary gear and the square washer . Wonder if they got missed at the factory during initial build
Good stuff man. Thanks for sharing
Thanks again bro. This will help me with removing my center diff. Thanks again for commenting on my fb post let me know about your vid.
No problem, if you have any questions hit me up
Extreme carbon fiber esc plate did the hole fit Xlx or you used double sided tape thanks
Drilled my own holes. I would go with the vitavon esc plate now days. Extrme rc isn't the best option anymore
Where care I buy the Def Lube from

I would def change the 20m. That is basically locked and you will blow parts up.
@@RCKYOTA Guess I'll change it to 500k since that is what I have at the moment.
Looking at getting one of these next year, keeping it stock, any problems with it,cheers.

Weller 70watt digital

That is weird I usually still have braking power after the lvc . What were the volts per cell on your packs when this happened ?
The car should go into limp mode before it can get this low

Where did you get that fan mount from?
For the motor or esc
@@RCKYOTA both lol

Can I pay and send you my diff for rebuild ?
If you want but it's super easy .
Hand tools only, aboslutely no need for a power drill, that is how screws get stripped.
Use then wisely they help
