HIP HOP FAN’S FIRST TIME HEARING 'Metallica - The Unforgiven II' | GENUINE REACTION
Вставка
- Опубліковано 25 кві 2024
- So the last Metallica song I reacted to was The Unforgiven 1. That song honestly blew me away. I have such a string love for the Black Album. I honestly think it is one of the best albums I have ever heard. After reacting to The Unforgiven, and realising it was part of a trilogy, I've decided today to react to The Unforgiven 2. I didn't realise this was later than the Black Album until I reacted to it. Make sure to stick around to hear my thoughts!
Here is my reaction to hearing Metallica - The Unforgiven II for the first time. I hope you enjoy it!

If you want something else from this era of Metallica, most people will tell you that 'Bleeding Me' and 'The Outlaw Torn' from the 'Load' album are must listens!
Fuck yeah
100%
He's already done bleeding me live , but he needs to listen to studio version too
And Fixxxer
100% and Fixxxer too
Who thinks that Mollyboy should listen to "The Memory Remains"?
Live!!!
Make sure it’s the live version post 2009
Nah there's to many better ones , memory was kind of a filler song I think
@@B8888Y your opinion. I noticed you didn't give an example. Wonder why. Actually, I know why. Nevermind
Not when there are still tracks from Kill 'Em All and Metallica left. Nope. Also it was kind of weak IMO. First track from that era should be Bleeding Me or The Outlaw Torn IMO.
People hate on Load and Reload but it is some of James' best vocals
Ignore the haters, Metallica after "The Black Album" is fire! 🔥🔥
Until it sleeps off of load is 🔥
My favourite song. #untilitsleeps
Yea, you need some quotation marks in that sentence. It doesn't flow very well. :)
@Havocme7 I was perplexed by this comment but now I see lol
"Bleeding Me" needs to be listened to from this era. That and "The Outlaw Torn" which is a masterpiece. Both are off of the album "Load"
Love them both! Love them both even more on S&M(1)
As a 52 year old watching you “discover” the greatness of this band just as I did so many years ago is so fun. Thank you
The Unforgiven is amazing, 2 is brilliant and 3 is beautiful!!!!
My fav line from 3...How can I be lost if I've got nowhere to go. Search for seas of gold, how come it's got so cold!!
This 'newer' stuff is 30years old 😁
Well, 28 years...
Hilarious! I’m 55 and I consider this older Metallica but geez not him! Lol
The first 4 albums are their absolute best!!when they were F’n METALLICA! Imo…
@@user-eg2zo4kz6w whEn tHeY WerE FOckiNg meTaLLicA
Damn, i'm old...
I've been a Metallica fan for 35 years & I love the load & Reload eras , it's a bluesy heavy but is still so god damn good.
I think that goes unsaid and unnoticed most of the time these days. The blues influence. But it wasn't just the load and reload that displayed those blues tendencies although they do shine through quite well as the temps were pulled back. You can find it sprinkled in the 1st three albums and some of these songs if you were to strip out all the distortion and loudness, you'd recognize instantly.
Unforgiven III is from Death Magnetic. Two albums later than this one. Another banger.
The solo 👌
The Day That Never Comes live from Nimes France. Metallica from 2009, so sick. Guitar work in the song is fucking awesome!!!
Absolutely awesome performance
Whether he does the live or studio... I'm sure he will see that Metallica after the Black album created masterpieces as well... FAN4LIFE🤘🏽😎
I love their cover of Whiskey in the jar. Fuel is awesome as well.
"Bleeding me" is a fantastic song!! Give it a listen. Do it.
Absolutely!! So full of emotion, right up Mollyboy's alley!
The fact that with the first listen you enjoyed this song means that you are open minded to the diversity of Metallica's music... Keep going Molly! We're here for the ride!...
James's voice makes any style of music sound on a different level
The second part of an amazing trilogy! You can feel James' PAIN in this one!
Hands down my favourite Metallica song! Something about Unforgiven II just hits different
Metallica has range. They have made all types of songs over the years.
You definitely need to hear Mama Said…
Low Man's Lyric off the same album is fantastic
This song is on the Album Reload
Which came out 6 years after The Black album
29 days and I see them live here in Munich! I can't wait to see the BEST band in the world! Thank you! 🤘
Fuck the Views! Carve your own path, walk your own road…. We are along for the journey!!! 🤘
They literally did it all!!! Keep the METALLICA coming!! You can never wear me out!! And there is some good country music, take it from a country boy!! Hank Williams Jr, " Country Boy Can Survive" play that song!! Basically the story of my life!
That song is badass!!! It is a great introduction to country.
Awesome!!! now that's you've cracked the seal on "Reload" (and "Load" I guess) better do "Fuel" and "The Memory Remains" at a minimum...and "King Nothing" from Load has the most wicked bass intro
You should listen to “mama said” - VERY country. I love it
Absolutely, one of the most emotional and relatable Metallica songs, and one of my favorites. Not particularly representative of the album that it's on, but i figure you'll get there eventually.'
Can’t wait to Unforgiven III
The Unforgiven 3 (album version) is the best of the 3 IMO.
We need a "The Unforgiven III" reaction ASAP. My personal favorite of the trilogy.
Let's go!!! Garage Inc. Astronomy cover is 😎
Lars explained it in one of the interviews that they'd simply decided to reverse the clean/heavy parts in the 2nd one - so clean verse & heavy chorus. The 1st one was heavy verse & clean chorus.
Yeah, 1 and 2 were basically a Yin and Yang to each other. The 3rd is a whole different monster. All are fantastic.
Would be so cool to see you reacting to Metallica's "The day that never comes" and/or "Unnamed Feeling"
As much hate as St. Anger got, I always thought Unnamed Feeling was a great song.
Snare drum is painful
Unforgiven III is my favorite of the 3... the solo is amazing!!
Yes!!! Doin' all three!!! Thanks for reacting to The Unforgiven II. This song when it came out? Got me through a divorce, I felt so heartbroken. Then my Metallica Boys come out with this? The lyrics "Now I see the sun" after the guitar solo turned it around for me. Embracing being single really for the first time as an adult. This song kept me alive in the late nineties and got strength from it. Metallica have always been there for me for low times and the best times, like now. Life is a gift.
If you want to hear Metallica actually do country, I recommend listening to Mama Said off of this same album. Metallica really branched out a lot in the 90s post-Black Album, and I think you'd really appreciate just how good they sound when they step out of their comfort zone.
I love all three. Great trilogy
Metallica is timeless. I got to see them live around 2008-front fucking row. I’ve been to a lot of concerts, but that was still one of the best shows I’ve ever seen 🤘🏻
"I don't think I'll ever get into country"
- Chris Stapleton has entered the chat
Yes now I see the sun, mate!!! LETS GO!!!!!
Im not a country guy really but its almost impossible not to like Chris Stapleton. White horse is a badass song.
Chris Stapleton is fantastic. The White Buffalo too, not quite as country as CS, but definitely nods to it
No Leaf Clover
Until it Sleeps
My Friend of Misery (incredible bass line)
3 favorite Metallica songs and I don't think you've heard any of them yet.
Keep it up. This channel has been fun to watch.
You honestly need to do Breadfan. Back in the day, they released cassette singles for $2.99. It had a “hit” song on side A and an unknown song on side B. Breadfan originally appeared as a side B song. It was the only way you could get it for about a year. To this day, I have no memory of what the side A song was. It was later released on Garage Days album. Breadfan is the band at it strongest and I personally believe it’s within the top 3 songs they’ve ever released.
Breadfan was the B side of the Eye of the Beholder single, and later released on Garage, Inc.. It's a cover of an early 70's song by a band named Budgie. It's a great cover, but I definitely wouldn't go so far as calling it one of Metallica's best songs. It's definitely worth a reaction though, along with what I believe to be, far and away Metallica's best cover, Am I Evil?.
Isn't Breadfan a cover?
@@danielbeck9310 I just remember buying the single, complaining it was $2.99, lol, and this awesome song on side B. Remember listening to it in the car over and over as loud as it would go. Had no idea it was a cover. But I love the song. Thanks for the info. Memories of all of us long haired boys. Good times
@ReturnToTradition yes. Budgie.
@@lss-jprep4980 yep. It's a great song. You should check out the original. Quite a bit different than Metallica's version. Crash Course In Brain Surgery is another Budgie song Metallica covered on Garage Days Re-Revisited.
It's not on the black album. But it's still a good song glad you enjoyed listening to it. I think you might like "Outlaw torn"Metallica.
Load & Reload are underrated I enjoy every song from these albums
Me too.
There are some Gems on both... if ppl can put aside THRASH each song from Metallica FAN4LIFE🤘🏽😎
Outlaw torn live is sick as hell!!!
The timing of this reaction video is incredibly fortuitous…I’ve been binging THIS song, and “Until It Sleeps” for a week and then, completely out of the blue, one of my favourite reactors puts up a video with one of my new favourite songs?!…your timing is impeccable!
Also, on a side note, I’m fairly sure this is only the second time I’ve ever commented on a UA-cam video…but I felt overwhelmingly compelled!
Thank you, from Australia 🫡☺️
I can already see he's gonna enjoy Bleeding Me, The Outlaw Torn, Fixxxer, and he's probably gonna enjoy No Leaf Clover also. Has he listened to No Leaf Clover? Gotta go see!
I literally can't wait until you hear the final Masterpiece Unforgiven 3. I enjoy your reactions. Thank you
This is one of my very favorite songs. The lyrics are beautifully relatable.
You WILL like James' "country" vibes. There's a few more like this one. Keep trucking with it, I promise you'll dig it!
Las reacciones de este pibe me hacen sentir lo mismo que a el, y hace 30 años que escucho Metallica... Well done, nene, thanks.
You have see them play Master of Puppets live in seattle 89 now. Its time. Their best performance of their best song
I live in Tasmania, Australia. It's 9 in the morning, beautiful sunshine, and ol' Molly Boy listening to Metallica... Awesome way to start the day 🤘🤘
Greetings from the mainland.
Where you at, pal?
@@thedaysdecay934 Melbs.
Sunny morning here too mate.
METALLICA BLACK ALBUM IS MY FAVORITE BUT MY LATE HUSBAND DID NOT LIKE THE BLACK ALBUM, HE THOUGHT THEY GOT SOFT, I DISAGREE, I LOVE ALL METALLICA ALBUMS BUT I WAS GOING THROUGH ALOT OF DARK STUFF IN MY LIFE AND THE BLACK ALBUM GOT ME THROUGH ESPECIALLY
" NOTHING ELSE MATTERS" THAT SONG SAVED ME!! AWESOME REACTION MOLLYBOY 💙 AND THANK YOU WHOMEVER REQUESTED THIS. 😊🩷🤘✌️🔥
That “never free…never me” at the end hits so fn hard
Never knew this existed. Brilliant!!
Another superb reaction Brother! I love watching you watch Metallica. It takes me back to my own journey through their music. Can't wait till 3.
One of my most favourite songs, great for karaoke singing
James is such a great songwriter; great lyricist.
I really like to see how much you appreciate the “Real” music!
Dec, I love your reactions!! It's great to see another person who's ears wire music straight from their ears to their soul!!
I love finding channels like this and walking down the Metallica road with them..keep it up brother
3 is incredible. I cannot wait for you to hear it.
So much more Metallica for you to discover and enjoy, keep them coming man
Yeah we all say we could never get into country music. Until… we hear Chris Stapleton “Tennessee whiskey.” 😍😎
If you want 2 new songs that rip are "spit out the bone" and moth to a flame" I learned how to play both solos took a couple weeks but worth it. Love the vids bro, keep em coming.
Load and Reload are absolute gems. My childhood ❤
The Outlaw Torn and Bleeding Me
Definitely don't hesitate to react to The Unforgiven III. It's quite a bit different than both I & II, but I think the difference is exactly what the third installment needed. I think you'll like it. Also, don't listen to anyone telling you Metallica after a certain time is no good. Anyone telling you that isn't a Metallica fan, they're just someone who has heard other non fans saying spouting out B.S. saying it's no good just because it's different and they don't get it. Basically there is alot of really good Metallica to listen to in every stage of their career. The album that 'The Unforgiven III' is on called 'Death Magnetic' is is (in my opinion) an amazing album.
Until it Sleeps from Load was the first Metallica song I ever heard and made me an instant fan, chuck it on the playlist, bruv.
My son is the same age as you. He loves Metallica, like I have done since 1985. I really enjoy seeing your reactions to theese songs and the best and worse is yet to come. My nr1 is master of puppets, but my nr 2 is from 2008, så just keep on and enjoy😁🤪.
Some covers metallica did around this era
Stone cold crazy
Whiskey in the jar
Turn the page
Number 3 is different in style, it is from Death magnetic, so you will hear how they changed sound. But it is the continuation of their thoughts about the life
Load and Reload will not disappoint !
Metallica - Outlaw torn from load album. It is incredible.
This is the first metal song I ever heard, I must’ve been 12-13 years old. It opened up a whole new world to me, and even today it still gives me a very unique feeling when I listen to it. Love it!
I love James' country vocals
Your reaction to the first 15 seconds is priceless!!!!!
„Fuel” from this album, Reload, is a banger as well!
When you do Numbers 3, do the live version with James solo from SNM2. Great vibes
I always enjoy the reactions but when you do songs I don’t know I get a little extra out of it. Thanks for this one, eagerly waiting part 3🤘
The awesome tone on Load and Re-Load is great. I love it. Great artistry. Now for James coming full circle , Unforgiven III from Death Magnetic.
Beautiful music. Great reaction 👍🏻 Yes this is from the Reload album which has some bangers on it. You will get there. Just do a Metallica wednesday. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Part 3 next? It's awesome
This guitar solo always grabs me by the throut in a good way.As an inspiring guitar player, i have to grab my guitar 🎸 Go Kirk
Great video again! I reckon you will LOVE Bleeding Me. Hopefully we'll see you listen to it soon. Keep em coming lad!
Outlaw torn 💔😭😭😭 R. I. P. Clifford Lee Burton 😢
Molly lad, bro, add that song to your Spotify play list
I am fairly certain that you will enjoy most of Metallica's newer stuff
I love all ERA’s of Metallica
I remember buying Reload CD in 1997, listening to that intro for the first time and being blown away. The Unforgiven was my favorite song at the time, I don't think they could have made the sequel any better.
The songs “Ronnie” and “The house that Jack built” are two other bangers from that era
Molly needs to watch the entire 1999 Symphony & Metallica (S&M) concert video.
Jason... enough said. X
Big fan of Devil's Dance off the Reload album
This is off Reload btw, so for all the load & reload haters, you stand on sand. LISTEN TO BLEEDING ME off LoaD, the best of the era. This 96ish-99 was James peak howling ability. 86-89 was indeed his finest growling combined with in tune singing, however his ability to howl in this era is his finest moments displayed in perfection in s&m1. James vocal talent has increased constantly even the toll of his growl took much of that ability away he has only honed his ability to manipulate syllables and his voice
wow! been a freakin' while since I've seen/heard this one! they were aiming at something different in these albums! those little parts here and there serving as reminders of the first one? yeah! great song! prefer the first one, enjoy this one and really like the third one! this was another nostalgia attack man! thankx!🔥🤘
Imy favorite is THE UNFORGIVEN III, but i forgot how fire this is too 🔥🔥
3rd is my Fav of the Unforgivens
@mollyboy - don’t listen to anyone that says anything after the first 3 albums are no good. You’ve already proven to yourself you’re not in this minority group. They’re one of the greatest bands of all time because of the entire catalogue, not just the first 3. They’re going to take you to places you didn’t know existed musically on these other albums. It’s going to be great to watch 🤘🤘🙂
