It leads to the community of Atlanta Idaho. I'm not an expert but I'd assume the road was made originally for gold mining, fire control, hunting, fishing, etc. Thanks for watching!
Not video related but I purchased a 2018 xr turbo. I get a slight vibration in 4 wheel drive only. Only seems noticeable at slower speeds and while turning. Been watching your other videos and know you had one. Only has 1500 miles. Thanks
Could be a lot of things but what I would check first is your carrier bearing and the front yoke connecting the front diff. I'd also inspect/grease your wheel bearings and check ball joints while you're in there. I'd suspect it's one of those, assuming you dont have a bent wheel/unevenly worn tires/etc.
@@McCurdyOutdoors thanks a ton. Every thing seems pretty tight. I do plan on doing my carrier at some point. It seems almost like a 4wd “roar”. Some say it’s normal and their machines did it since day one. Others say it’s not. I changed all the fluids and inspect before every ride so I’m gonna drive it until it breaks, repair and repeat. 😂😂
Great video of the Middle Fork. I am trying to get into ice climbing and noticed the frozen waterfall along the road. Where is that located? Also, do you have any other pictures of the frozen waterfall? Just trying to build my list of ice climbing destinations for next year and haven't found much in Idaho yet.
@@McCurdyOutdoors They are not able to grade the lower half because it falls under Boise county jurisdiction and ada county. They remove the snow is all. And there has been higher amount of people going up the road these days out doing what they are budgeted to do. It is really messed up road do to 4 agencies having ownership to some degree.
Wanting to do this ride New Year’s Day with a big group. What’s the name of the gas station? Would like to call and see if they will be open for gas. Thanks and Great video
Awesome video. I thought I was moving a lot slower than you guys by a lot. But wasn’t too bad.
Thanks! 🤘🤘
That looks like a beautiful ride down the canyon. I always enjoy your videos.
Definitely worth the trip! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
We just did that ride last weekend. Awesome day trip
Sweet! Yes it is! Thanks for watching!
Back behind the damn at lucky peak right? I just moved back to Idaho after leaving for a year but I bought a 2021 Turbo S4 so let’s go up!
Yep back in the canyon past lucky/arrowrock 👍
Its so cool that Idaho has all these mountain pass roads. What are their purpose? Forest fire control?

Another awesome vid, beautiful area.
Yes it is and thank you for watching!
Do you have an app that you follow or do you just know the trails from experience?
I know most of the trails but I use Backcountry Navigator to track each ride.
Great video Doug!
Heck yea man. Lot of that we road last June together.
@@McCurdyOutdoors missing it already

I dont have an exact GPS coordinate but its roughly 5-10 miles outside Atlanta right along the road, can't miss it.
@@McCurdyOutdoors Great. So the waterfall is between the Weatherby airstrip and the Queens River Road?
Yes, or very close. Definitely between Phifer creek and Atlanta though.
Been down that road so many times our family cabin is at Weatherby airport.
Awesome! I dont remember the road ever being as bad as it is right now...pothole city.

Beaver creek lodge
Can you do this in the summer?
Yep, it's really popular in the summer.
Looks amazing where do you park and ride from?
Park along lucky peak/arrowrock and its a straight shot from there. 130ish miles round trip.
Definitely a scenic drive....awesome ! New S=U=B here !
Thanks!
Think I’ll grab the Wife and do this next Sunday!!!
Have fun you'll love it!
