HotCars met up with Richard Rawlings at SEMA 2023 and the car star was generous enough to talk about the current EV craze, as he says "the computer is new screwdriver". Rawlings also discussed his two Ferrari builds for SEMA 2023, the Ferrari “Testa” EV and the GasMonkey Ferrari 812 Scaglietti.

The windshield idea just looks hideous, but its a cool idea nonetheless. I prefer ICE, but would love to see a comparison.
Ferrari have always been d bags about what their customers do with the cars THEY BOUGHT.
Buying a car does not give you the right to change whatever you want with it. Ferraris are timeless works of art, not some pile of crap E-Klass Mercedes that people will forget about in 3 years when the lease period is up.
I support Ferrari for their Karenistic ways.

@@VanquishMediaDE, yes it does. If I fork over the hundreds of thousands of dollars for a car, it’s mine. I paid for it. Their pompous, pretentious attitude, is completely unacceptable. Especially for a licensed merchandise company that happens to just sell cars on the side and occasionally does some racing. They will slap their stupid logo on anything, but I’m “not allowed” to customize my car to my particular taste? GTFOH.
@@ericcarabetta1161 afraid not in ferrari's case the fine print original owner signs states "the manufacturer (Ferrari) retains control over its cars even after they have been sold" and that i believe will include everyone after the orignal owner too.
There is a contract that clearly outlines that you are not allowed to modify the car without the written permission from the factory. Clearly you do not own (nor do you have the money to own) a Ferrari@@ericcarabetta1161.
I had no reason to modify my F430 as it is perfect from the factory. I would not change a single thing on my timeless work of art.
Such a precious twee corporation in an era where there cars are expensive luxury paperweights compared to electric cars, at least for 99.9% of the driving experience... I love the concept and Ferrari really should get on board the revolution...

*_Testa vs Tesla:_* i didn't even get the joke until you pointed it out. i was just assuming that because testa rossa means red head, and ''rossa'' means red, that the rossa was omitted because they repainted the red car in white.
