- In this video I go over how I style my hair like Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). All I use is a wet hair comb and curling cream! This was an interesting video for me to film, so I hope you all enjoy it and found it informative :) Thanks for watching!

I believe Andrew Lincoln’s hair was hat trained for Rick. Every time you see him off set he has a hat on his head. He wears it so it will make his hair “naturally “ go back
I wear a hat too, when I don’t feel like styling it, so it could be true, but my hair is too thick and will not keep shape

I finally found what I was looking for
I was trying to grow my hair out for this, went for a trim around the ears, and got a mullet somehow.
lol at some point in 2021 my hair got really long and also looked like a mullet
@@JGrimes76yeah I cut the back of my hair a little higher so it doesn’t grow into a mullet and it still happens because it grows faster back there than my other parts of my hair

I have a problem when I sleep, I sleep on my back, and my hair get frizzy and pointy even if I have a suitable pillow, could you tell me in what position do you sleep so that it doesn't ruin my hairstyle

Is there a way to blow dry the hair instead of air drying it? Not always have the time to wait in the morning xd
If you did have to blow dry it, I would do it on a low setting before to get some water out, put the curling cream or product in and then blow dry on low again to try and avoid puffy hair

How do you ask your barber to cut your hair? I have the same type of hair than you but I never know how to ask my barber how to cut my hair when I try growing it up. Can you tell me how? 👌🏻
So when I first went to my hairdresser, and I went to a few different hairdressers, I will literally show them a couple different angles of Andrew Lincoln and say this is exactly what I want and my latest hairdresser know exactly what I wanted and how to do it and now when I go I just have her thin my hair out and take an inch off. So my best recommendation is literally show them different angles of Andrew Lincoln’s hair and they should understand the assignment 😅

One question and if the hair is straight or only curly?
This company and others make curling creams with different style curls for different hair types, there may be one that could add some curls to your hair, you would just have to try different products

is it even possible to prevent the hair getting puffier over time without using too much product or maybe heat idk. your hair look lovely by the way 💯
Thank you and that's certainly a challenge for me! I usually have to get my hair thinned out at the hairdressers but even still when it's humid it gets puffy
Hey! I would like to ask if you think this hairstyle would work with permed hair? Like if i perm my hair to be curly and do these steps. Would it work?
I would assume that you would get pretty curly hair from a perm and curling cream combo!

This is exactly what i need as an 18 Year old.
I really wanna try it but my hair is kinda wavy/curly and i had hard times on how taking care of it. And i got shitty forehead + I don't have any beard.

Nice, so how long or how many months is that length?
it took me about 2 months to get the rick grimes length for about season 4.
I’ve had my hair grown out for a few years now but my last haircut before my recent one was in March and I only had my hair dresser take off a half inch and thin it out. But to grow my hair from shorter to long it only took 2-3 months

My best suggestions are to try curling cream, or even mousse in your case. Something else another commenter mentioned was to try a curling iron! I'm glad they mentioned that, because it's a great idea and it didn't cross my mind!

How long did it took you to grow your hair?
To get it from shortish to long it took me about 3 months. But in this video I had already had it long, but I had last got it cut in March and only took a half inch off at my hair cut, plus thinning.

I would buy a small bottle of curling cream just to see if it has any effect on your hair, also I do have a very similar hairline, so I lucked out in that regard!

I've had friends with straight hair try it and said it didn't do much for them, so I'm not too sure unfortunately

I have thick wavy hair, my mom's hair is veryyy curly and my dad's hair is straight so I got a combination of theirs lol

Well to be honest I just showed my hairdresser a picture of Andrew Lincoln and said this was the style I was looking for. But really it’s just ‘slicked back’
