I really really love that you kept the name you had even after the loss of a miscarriage. ❤️ I had a name I absolutely loved and didn’t think I should keep it but, maybe I will. ☺️
I’ve always loved names too. Especially the super unusual ones. But then when you are pregnant and trying to choose a name for your own child it’s just a different story! I have an Arlo, Rory, and Otto - choosing the 3rd boy name was TOUGH 😂
I’ve been fascinated by names as long as I can remember. My dolls always had changing names, if I met a child at a playground or at the beach I wanted to know their name, their middle name, their siblings names. I always want to know how people have chosen their baby’s name, what were the other contenders etc. I found it incredibly hard choosing names for our children. To me it was more daunting than the birth or raising the child. I was so worried I’d regret the choice. I haven’t. The only thing I didn’t want for our family was both the children to have names beginning with the same letter and that ended up happening lol. I don’t know why I even cared, it’s not a big deal. One bonus was that I could order name labels for school and put the first initial and our last name and both kids could use the same labels haha
Yes I don't think the same initial is a big deal; the names sound different and totally agree it's so useful for school - ha ha ha! I do the same; now I think I can add a line and make the F and E - ha ha! xxx
I remember when I was little maybe first/fourth grader I used to hate my name. I wished that my parents named me differently. But when I asked them why they named me like this. They said that my dad dreamed that I was falling down from the roof he jumped to save me and screamed "hang on Evelina I will save you!" In the morning he rushed into the hospital to me and my mom and told her that they should give me Evelina name. Since then I fell in love with my name. ❤
I've got 8 kids 4 girls and 4 boys .Their names from oldest to youngest are: Landon Jax Beatrix Pearl Harlan James Caspian Roy Evelyn Grace Noella Jae Wilder Kade Payslee Auroura
I have a Hugo Marcelo. He is 8 and people thought we were crazy picking that name but it fits him so well. He is the only Hugo in his school and I love that he is such a unique little man. Love your names and stories.
Our top girls name was Cassie and right up until our daughter was born that was what we were going to call her, but my number one was always Eleanor and when I asked my husband what she looked like he said “she’s definitely an Eleanor” and the rest as they say is history 💝
This is so fascinating to me as a linguistics student, really makes you think about just how important names are and how the smallest units of sounds are so important like the ‘a’ sound in Evalina
SJ, You were one of the first "namers" we found when we joined the naming community. We ADORE your taste and you've inspired us SO much. Thank you for this look at your own beautiful naming stories:)
My son is 18months old and he is called Rory. Everyone in my family love his name and when we announced his birth we had (and still get) so many compliments on his name, I was so pleased when you said his name in this video ❤️ love from the UK 🇬🇧 x
I’m 15 and not going to be pregnant for at least another 10 years probably, but I still watch these videos because I love hearing names I’ve never thought of before
Your taste is always impecable. And how cute was to see newbown's pictures of Freddie and Finn? They were cute since day one. My mum chose my name and never asked anyone's opinion about that, not even my dad's, actually there was almost a fight between her and his family about it haha She has always loved the name Ana and she also wanted to name me after her mother, Letícia. My other grandma (dad's mum) is Maria so it would be logical that I would have her name too. My father's family came into the recovery room and the first thing they said was "why not Maria Letícia ?" My mum went "oh, because I was the the one who gave birth to her" hahaha wish I have her guts. I think when I meet my future husband, I'll say to him "If we ever have a daughter, her name will be Theodora. This is not a question, k ?"
That’s so funny and kind of similar to my mom. She named me after her mom “Elise Colleen” (grans name is Coleena) so when my sister was born my dads mom just assumed she would be named after her. My mom just loved the name Janie and hated the sound of “Janie Linda” so called her Janie Anne. My grandma was so mad but my mom was just like she’s my daughter and Janie Anne is prettier...... but my mom did eventually use her name with my other sister. When she was born that Grandma was going through chemo so my mom named my sister “Lydia Susan”, which is almost a copy of my grandmas name which is “Linda Susan”
@@elisecollette1979 wow ! Those stories must've caused such mean comments back then but now is the funniest thing ever. And Yes, just like mine, I think your mum was totally right. The mum get an extra say when it comes to the name. The dad and everyone else just have to agree haha
Letícia Ribeiro lol my family already doesn’t have a say. Lol my guy and I are pretty set on our son Cornelius and no one can change it. His grandmothers don’t like it but we do. And when I name my daughter Matilda he has no choice.
alyssa caeytano you’re absolutely right !! You guys are the parents, it’s YOUR choice. And what a great taste btw I love vintage long names. Matilda is definitely one of my favorite names after Theodora. Stick to it ! Xx
I absolutely love your kids' names! I didnt know Freddie's full name was spelled Fredrik, that's so unique!!! I think Finn was the perfect name for him, it suits him so well. Evelina is stunning of course!
Awwwh! My name is Evelina and I've always loved it ❤ I'm 30 weeks pregnant with a boy and FIGHTING for the name Hugo but my husband isn't convinced unfortunately. I love it so much! Kai is our mutually agreed choice and we already have a Chloé Anneliese ❤
evelina sauer ah lovely names! I love Chloe / Henrik wasn’t as keen as I recommended it I think when we had Freddie. Kai is great - it’s so hard to agree!!!!!
I have obsessively the past couple of days watched your baby name videos. Then I found out you were married to a Swede, which made me want to find out how you both thought around your kids names. I’m married to an english man and Swedish myself. Not pregnant but like you looove names and want to find something lovely for our future kids that work in both languages as well as isn’t overly common but neither weird. I love the history of the name Finn and have considered it myself but it’s become sooo popular! Anyway you picked great names ☺️
Beautiful video! We are currently 34 weeks pregnant with our first girl and having such a hard time coming up with a name for her! Any ideas? Her siblings names are: 1. Rex Oliver (our angel) 2. Graham Michael 3. Oliver Gregory -the only name we are currently agreeing on is Reese...but no clue on middle name.
Loved this video as it’s great to hear how you chose your children’s names. I love them all. I also love Hugo. Hope you’re well anyway hun. You look amazing!! Let’s definitely catch up properly soon xx
Your children are gorgeous! 😍 Edit: in my belief system when your souls are connected, the baby you've lost can come back to you. In my opinion, that's what happened with Evelina 💖
I absolutely love researching names. It was a great pass-time when I was heavily pregnant, haha. We have: Tuesday Eloise, 4 years old Odin Thedrick, 2 years old, and Zephyr Joseph, 6 months old. We like to anchor quirky first names with meaningful family names in the middle spot.
Jessica DK I absolutely love Zephyr as a name! Your baby is named after a gentle west wind and I think that’s adorable. I’ve actually thought of that as a name before but I wouldn’t have the guts to name my child that.
I named my daughter Cecily. I've never heard it anywhere other than a character in an Anne of Green Gables book where I fell in love with it.... I get a lot of mispronouncing of her name and at the beginning a regretted it and wish I has chosen something different. Now that's she almost 3 I love it and wouldn't change it.
I always put so much love into choosing my kids names. Our kids names are Savannah, Sydney, Lena Karlee, Sean Jacob (who we call SJ), Mila and Everley ♡♡♡♡♡♡
I totally need to do a “how I chose my babies names” video. This was fascinating to watch; and I love how you really stuck to names you loved (like sticking with Evelina and Hugo) I’ve always been one to flit around a bit with names I like from one baby to the next; expect for the name Flynn which we liked the whole way through, but have never managed to use. Clearly we need a dog called Flynn at some point! x
Lucy Dear Beautiful yes I’d love to watch yours!! Was just thinking of you and how it’s going with 4 😍😍😍 we found it hard like you guys to get something we both liked so when it happened we stick with it x
Loved this video and how you chose all your baby names. Totally agree choosing names is so hard. I regret one of our children’s names as think we rushed the decision as we couldn’t agree. Xx
My son's are called Cash and Romeo they are just the coolest names and they suit them so well! I get raised eyebrows sometimes but they are meaningful.. me and my partner especially love Johnny Cash hence Cash and I teach Drama and direct and act still sometimes so I had to have a "drama" related name too hence Romeo! Their second name is Parker and their names have defo set them up to stand out and dream big ❤️
I have 6 kids: 1 girl and 5 boys Oldest to youngest Greyson Kekai Holt-10 James Maverick Holt-8 Hazyl Juniper-6 Milo Jaxton-4 Fox Ryden-2 August Henley-6m I love there names
I'm sorry to hear of your baby loss. Even at such an early stage it is hard. I also lost a baby (at 7weeks pregnant ) and was gutted as I had waited so long to get pregnant and my family was beyond excited. I too am convinced it was a girl and ,with the support of my husband, decided to name her. I chose Cora as it reminds me of the Spanish word "corazon" (which means "heart") as she will always live in my heart.❤️
My mom also changed my name after I was born! I was originally called Brooklyn Mackenzie during pregnancy but the night I was born my mom said she had a dream and knew that brikenzie needed to be my name 😊😊
Aww I’ve got a Rory, it’s a cool name. I actually think Finn is a great name, I’m sure he’ll grow into it and be able to say it loud & proud in due course - all Finns are cool in my opinion!! Absolutely lovely to hear these stories. I’m so glad you guys stuck with the name Evalina 💖
I have a little Hugo. We also had Gabriel and Tobias in our list and also Theodore. I’ve never once regretted our decision - people comment all the time they like Hugo’s name 👍🏻
My kids names (girl and boy) are Cora Lily and Tristan Vitruvius. I've always loved baby names too and I'm having another girl soon. My top 3 right now are Elena, Emilia, and Freya...but I'm very indecisive.
Im absolutely obsessed with baby names! im not pregnant, not even got a boyfriend but have a long list of names already 😂😂😂😂😂 my favourite girls name atm is Ivie & Ash for a boy 😍
Okay I just need to say that I always thought I was crazy! I love love love names it’s my most favourite topic I love to talk to people about their lists and my fiancé and I have been naming our future children for like 6 years lol and demanded that my best friends and I make lists like 10 years ago so that we didn’t steal each others favourite names! So I love that I’m not alone ! And I love that you made it into a job!
My top girly names: 1. Melody Rain (Mel) 2. Kaya Winter (kay) 3. Penelope Mae (penny or mae) Top boy names: 1. Kayden Jay (KJ) 2. Aramis Eliab (Eli) 3. Jessie Stark (Jess)
Jensen and Daneel Ackles have 3 kids; Justice Joy, Arrow Rhodes and Zeppelin Bram and if that's not a family of superheroes, I don't know what is! Some people think it's odd but I think it's gorgeous. Justice goes by JJ and the whole family is so sweet, they totally rock it.
It is so interesting hearing how you decided on your children’s names. I love all 3, they are lovely names! I think Finn is a wonderful name & special. Have you considered calling him Bo? It seems like he could pull that off 😊. My son is named in memory of my father, grandfather, and uncle: Stefan Chandler.
Ah it's a gorgeous name - Chandler is super cool isn't it! He struggles with his B, F, P etc. he's mainly good at G!!!! We're working on the F as think he'll find it so empowering at school. xxxx
I have 3 girls and 2 boys my hubby and I always picked middle names from family Boys Daniel Allen (Husbands fathers middle name) Garrett Alaric (Husbands middle) Girls Ava Jolee (jo from my middle name Lee my mom's middle name) Mayah Kapri (my best friend) Hazyl Cynthia (my mom)
Great video SJ, interesting how you chose your children’s names. My husband and I choose our boy and girl name three years before we had Olivia and we found it quite easy to pick. Hopefully one day we can use ur boy name. I have always loved the name Nathanial but hubby hates it so sadly it won’t be used.
I am currently 22 weeks pregnant. My husband and I decided on Jai Craig for our first son when I found out I was pregnant for the first time (I have had 2 MCs before this pregnancy). Then my husband decided he preferred Christian Craig, but I still want Jai Craig because Jai has been a name I have loved since I was 12, and I don’t really like Christian. Hearing your Fredrik/Oscar story I am wondering if I should just wait, but I keep calling Bub Jai haha
Ah it's hard! I think if you've consistently loved the name Jai you should use it - it's The One! Other names you might fancy for a short while but you never know if you'll go off them eventually but Jai has stood the test of time x
Wow gorgeous names! Yes imagine Me as a Lily! I'd love that so much - I love your mix of names. I've never heard Keturah; there's an island here called Brenna x
My eldest is Maia. I was a single parent from early in the pregnancy and wanted her to have my same initials (I’m Maureen) and I also wanted her to have a Greek name (my degree is in Classics). My second daughter is called Robin. We wanted a unisex name because we just couldn’t agree on a boy’s name. Her name came from a book I read while I was pregnant with her. In the book, Robin was a boy who had been murdered (I know!) but I loved it and it’s still my favourite name. Our youngest daughter is Ivy. My husband liked it but I wasn’t keen on it. Then, on the day she was born, a lot of little things kept pointing at that name. It’s then that I knew she was Ivy. Ps - I love Finn as a name and think it suits your son a lot!
Aww I love all the names you picked for your kids. Evelina in particular is such a pretty name. My two girls are called: Summer Rose and Amber Lily. Luckily it didn’t take myself and my partner long to decide and agree on the names. I love that they are linked with both having floral middle names! 🌹🌸 xx
LittleMissCheryl86 yes such gorgeous names! We considered Amber as both really loved it but we’d settled on Evelina! My niece is summer Dorothea rose which I think I told you befor probably 😂 it’s so gorgeous x
SJ Strum aww well Evelina is such a beautiful name so I can see why you were so taken with it. And yes, I have mentioned their names before to you! Haha 😊 xx
We wanted a short name for our son since our Scottish based last name has a lot of syllables. We also wanted regular spelling (for example my sister in law has a name spelt unusual/alternatively and she’s forever correcting people). We decided on Blake and he was named when I was 17 weeks pregnant.
My sister let me name my now 27-year-old nephew with the condition the initials were C.M. (all 3 of her boys have those initials). I picked “Curran Michael.” Curran is Gaelic for “hero.” We sometimes call him “Curry.” Now he has his first-born due in August. I’m secretly hoping it’s “Curran Jr.”. I love Kitty Sue for a girl. Love your channel.
I really enjoyed this vlog, loved hearing about your choices. Interesting how you said about Finn and his speech and not quite managing his name, i had the exact same problem with my Raife ( he has speech delay too), hes 5 and can now just about say his name, sometimes clearer than other times. I really struggled with this and often wished we had named him something else but we adore his name and its special for him 💞💞 Finn will get there xxx
Charlotte Hardy ahhh that’s good to hear. Yes he’ll get it; it’s just a shame it’s a hard sound for him. He struggled with Evelina a lot too; I was thinking I should have called her Greta as he’s good with the G 🙈 but it’s short term I hope xxxxx
My mother has and my two little sisters. Our names are Courtney-Leigh, Lacie-Mai, and Lola-Maeve. The only one she doesn't regret is Lola. Potential names for me included Sydney, Lotus and - if I were a boy - Preston. I remember the names Layla and Shannon floating around for Lacie. Lola was called Lily until she was a few days old - she's certainly a 'Lola'. Lily is far too delicate a name for our boisterous little Lola!
Love your babies names! We have two boys with short names, Will (10) and Jude (9) - (Jude got his name as 'Hey Jude' came on the ipod just as I pushed him out!) So we chose a long name 'Francesca' when our 5 year old little girl was born! I am still obsessed with babynames even though we don't want anymore babies!!xx
My mom’s family is part Greek, Danish and part American, and so we live in Denmark. In Denmark and The states the name Evelina is super rare. Up until the birth of my three year old cousin, I had never heard of the name Evelina before, but my aunt and uncle decided to go with Evelina, and I t’s actually quite popular in Greece. I absolutely love the name, and I’m definitely going to consider it, if I have a girl one day. Happy holidays. Xx.
I recently moved to Denmark from the UK and I am falling in love with all the Danish names I am hearing! I’m only 23 so kids aren’t happening sny time soon but I would love to incorporate a Danish name for a future child... especially if we move back to England!
My 9yr old is Aaliyah and my 1yr old is Evelina, I've been watching you for a while and followed your pregnancy journey and fell in love with the name Evelina 💗 my mums parents are from Poland and since having her I've found out it's a popular name there too. I went through so many baby names and couldn't chose one i liked. If she was a boy I wanted the name Reggie x
This is so neat! My husband is french and I am a Japanese American. Our kids had to have names that worked in three different languages! It was super challenging but we have an Elena, Timothée , and Clarice. I don’t know what we will do if we have another since it was so hard to find the names we have. 😬
I don’t have kids but my mom regrets not naming me phoebe but Ashley is very common in New York and I regret my mom’s choice. I’m planning change my middle name to my first name. I got an idea for what I want my middle name to be from one your videos! So thank you for doing baby name videos!
I love unusual names over traditional ones. We found out what we were having each time which helped. Our eldest was a matthew for ages before he was born (also back in 2010 ☺️) but one day I just didn’t like it anymore I wanted something more unusual. Consulted all the books but in the end we looked to our fave programmes and films for inspiration. We were both big fans of Buffy but couldn’t have spike or angel really 😂 i liked Xander but hubby didn’t so I mentioned Riley and we loved it. In the end it randomly became really popular and i’ve met a few since then although there are only a couple in his school inc him. He took his grandad’s middle name for his middle name which was Haydn but we added an e. Sadly he died about 2 yrs after he was born so we are glad we did that now. Our second was a girl, now I found it so hard naming a girl and liking more unusual names I liked things like Skye and Scarlett but hubby didn’t so we went back to our old references and we had just finished Tru Blood so I mentioned Jessica and he loved it, surprisingly more traditional than I’d imagined and there is another one in her year at school but it’s ok. I chose Charlotte for her middle name after a family relation as it’s quite classic but luckily didn’t use it for her first name because the princess was born shortly after her. Our third was another boy and so I went back to old lists and I loved Felix and also Freddie! In fact he was Freddie in my mind from the beginning but again hubby vetoed it :( so I went back to and idea that had been on all my lists Jackson and weirdly it was the name of several characters in tv we were watching at the time (the originals, Zoo and my favourite and the reason behind the spelling sons of anarchy) so he agreed. Soon after I started watching channel mum on yt and Emily Norris’s live birth was one of the first videos I watched, needless to say she later named him Jackson and I was worried that maybe it was becoming more popular than i’d hoped so we opted to change his spelling to Jaxon. I’ve since learned that that is also a really popular spelling 🤦🏼♀️ but we loved it at the time so it’s stuck. I kind of regret it slightly as I am worried he will spend his life having to spell it out to people. His middle name is Lucas, there is no story behind that it was the only name that seemed to work with his first and last name. (Although I thought i’d convinced hubby to name him Jaxon Phoenix at one point but when we came to register him he changed his mind 🙈) sorry that was a long message 😂 x
Emma Blakeley Ah Jaxon is lush! Emily’s Jackson is so adorable isn’t he :-). Riley is a lovely name; they are all just on the right side of unique but not unusual 💕
My best friend just gave birth to identical twin girls. She wants to call them Cléo and Chloé ... Good names but maybe not to Identical twins? Their big brother is called Léo and their big sister is called Zoé. Personally I think that all those name in a sibling group are too similar. Do you have any advice what to tell her?
The two names that my hubby and I have both agreed on are Elliott David for a boy (David for my father) and for a girl Aurora "Rory" Patricia (Patricia for my mother and his grandmother) but seeing as we both want 4 children, we still need to come up with a few more names! I always love hearing new unique/uncommon names. We have also considered the name Adrian/Adrienne for either a boy or a girl with the middle name being Christopher or Mary after his parents depending on the gender. Love your videos and all the meaning behind the names! Much love from Canada!
amishgirlonline there are lots of unusual names in my family. My son Sabastian, nephews, Chance, Carter, Cooper and Cannon. A niece named Alana and strangest of all my middle name is Thomasine ( because even though Im a girl my mom wanted to name me after my grandfather)
Beautiful baby names and you have such a beautiful family! My best friend has a one year old little girl named Adalaide and is expecting next May .. she doesn’t know the gender yet but do you have any suggestions of names that might complement adalaide ? I love all of the names you liked so much .. she doesn’t want a too common name:)
I was always in love with Cartier for a girl Pronounced like the jewelry brand I had a dream about it when I was pregnant but then I found out I was having a boy! So I did Carter Alejandro. My dad’s middle name is Alexander so I wanted to give him the same name and his last name is Flores which is Spanish So I wanted it to flow so he’s Carter Alejandro Flores and I love his name ! I don’t think I’ll be having more kids but if I had a girl I think I would still go with Cartier!
My favorite girl name is Ferrell (fair-elle is the pronunciation) and I also love the names Reese and Wren for girls. My favorite boy name is Felix but I also love the names Flynn and Otis
My middle child's name is ronja Lois and I love this and so suits her... And we live in Wales but her name is Norwegian... The middle child always has to have a unusual name.. It's a rule he he loves and hugs
My one-year old’s name is Lily. There are no other kids with her name at her daycare. When she was born, the nurse were asking what her name was and I was like “Lily, I know it is popular ”. They actually said that they weren’t that many and the trend was more about “made-up names”. Her middle name is Josephine to honour my nonna Giuseppina.
I have ALWAYS loved baby names! I don´t have children, and I am not pregnant, but I always write down names I love, and try different combinations xx
Amanda Marie Torkildsen I’ve done t for years too!!! 💕💕💕

Amanda Marie Torkildsen ya me too and I’m only 11

Being a baby name expert is probably one of the best jobs on the planet!
Amelia EverythingBabyNames Love your channel, Amelia! You post such wonderful names 😍😍😍
Thank you so much!!!! I'm addicted to SJ's baby name videos. I love hearing names from a British perspective!!!!
Ah! You are both amazing!
It's so much fun! We still need to do our video together! I need to get over to you - ha ha! x
We love you too Amelia!
I really really love that you kept the name you had even after the loss of a miscarriage. ❤️ I had a name I absolutely loved and didn’t think I should keep it but, maybe I will. ☺️
I've been obsessed with names since I was kid. Now I'm questioning my career choice lol
I’ve always loved names too. Especially the super unusual ones. But then when you are pregnant and trying to choose a name for your own child it’s just a different story! I have an Arlo, Rory, and Otto - choosing the 3rd boy name was TOUGH 😂
Omg you have the best boy names! We loved Otto too - so happy to have a nephew Otto now! x
Chloe Bridge probably because you have to LOVE it because that name will be there for a while
I love the name Arlo too! I have always loved Corrine but lately I haven’t liked it as much
My son is called Rory, I love his name! I also have a 2 friends both with little boys called Arlo which seems to be growing in popularity
I’ve been fascinated by names as long as I can remember. My dolls always had changing names, if I met a child at a playground or at the beach I wanted to know their name, their middle name, their siblings names. Yes I don't think the same initial is a big deal; the names sound different and totally agree it's so useful for school - ha ha ha! I do the same; now I think I can add a line and make the F and E - ha ha! xxx
Oh yes you can easily do that hahaha
what are your baby's names if you don't mind me asking?
My 9year old son Rory watched this with me. He was delighted when you mentioned his name xx
Ah how cute! love that name so much x
Janice-Ann my name is Tiffany & i was pretty delighted when she mentioned my name.
I LOVED naming my children. I found it very easy. My oldest is Finja and my youngest Auri
I remember when I was little maybe first/fourth grader I used to hate my name. I wished that my parents named me differently. But when I asked them why they named me like this. They said that my dad dreamed that I was falling down from the roof he jumped to save me and screamed "hang on Evelina I will save you!" I've got 8 kids 4 girls and 4 boys .Their names from oldest to youngest are:
Landon Jax
Beatrix Pearl
Harlan James
Caspian Roy
Evelyn Grace
Noella Jae
Wilder Kade
Payslee Auroura
Caspian is so cute

Those are really cool names
I have 2 girls 10 yrs apart my oldest Ariana skye my 8mth Emmalina Eloise
I have a Hugo Marcelo. He is 8 and people thought we were crazy picking that name but it fits him so well. He is the only Hugo in his school and I love that he is such a unique little man. Love your names and stories.
I have twin girls Etta Jane and Wren Lark. My top future baby names are; Edie, Ried, Rowan, Jude and Asa x
Love all these names!! We have an Eden but she has been called Edie since birth. It's beautiful
Oh I love Eden, I think if we have another girl that is at the top of my list. I love short one syllable names. x
I love the name wren 💕
I babysit 2 brothers juda and asa
Holy crap that’s a beautiful sibset
Our top girls name was Cassie and right up until our daughter was born that was what we were going to call her, but my number one was always Eleanor and when I asked my husband what she looked like he said “she’s definitely an Eleanor” and the rest as they say is history 💝
This is so fascinating to me as a linguistics student, really makes you think about just how important names are and how the smallest units of sounds are so important like the ‘a’ sound in Evalina
I love how down to earth you come across, SJ!
Louisa Jane love it!! Middle?
@@pellaw8011 his middle name is John which is the same as his daddy
Louisa Jane Rory John
Ha ha - yes Theodora all the way!!!! That's the cutest story; and definitely I think we get an extra say as we do the labour! xx
Ah yes he's a Fredrik! I love Fredrik - it's very sound of music! I forgot to say I watched that in labour so think it influenced me as well! ha ha! x
SJ Strum One of my favorite movies!!
Boy names: Nael, Leeyoh, River and ocean
Girl names: Laneya, Vada, Sahara, isla, India, Boheme (I LOVE Boheme its so unique)
I’ve always wanted to name a girl river or autumn or Vienna 🍂
Beautiful video!
We are currently 34 weeks pregnant with our first girl and having such a hard time coming up with a name for her! Any ideas?
Her siblings names are: 1. Rex Oliver (our angel)
2. Graham Michael
3. Oliver Gregory
-the only name we are currently agreeing on is Reese...but no clue on middle name.
Ok, you should have had your baby by now? What did you name her?
I have a little Hugo! He calls himself Gogo x
That's insanely cute! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Loved this video as it’s great to hear how you chose your children’s names. I love them all. I also love Hugo. Hope you’re well anyway hun. You look amazing!! Let’s definitely catch up properly soon xx
I have my Jedediah and I'm currently going through the process of adopting my little Hailey Ana 😁
Your children are gorgeous! 😍
Edit: in my belief system when your souls are connected, the baby you've lost can come back to you. In my opinion, that's what happened with Evelina 💖
Some of my favorite names (if I ever have children):
Celeste Esperanza
Katherine Miriam
Nesta Diana Lucy
Sietta Annabelle
Esperanza is a name I’ve had on my list for YEARS 😍
I absolutely love researching names. It was a great pass-time when I was heavily pregnant, haha. We have:
Tuesday Eloise, 4 years old
Odin Thedrick, 2 years old, and
Zephyr Joseph, 6 months old.
I love the name odin and eloise is my baby's middle name.
Omg Tuesday Eloise is the prettiest name! 😍
Oooh I loved that book and the name is totally stunning x
Great video lovely! Loved hearing all about your little ones names xx
Ah thanks so much for watching hon x
I have a 1 year old Evelina Maria 💜
Yay!!!! Best Name Ever :-)) x
Georgiana Iordan woah I’m 14 and not planning on having children any Time soon but I loveeeee that name , going to remember that name for the future
That’s a beautiful combination.
That's pretty my baby is emmalina and my cousin had a baby around the same time she has nicalina not sure her spelling
that’s my name 😍 and my sister is emelie maria
Loved this video and how you chose all your baby names. Totally agree choosing names is so hard. I regret one of our children’s names as think we rushed the decision as we couldn’t agree. Xx
Mrs Hible that’s true too! I think I really wanted to name Freddie fast; but I didn’t feel the pressure with the others but was more decisive! X
PrincessTaradise your kids names are awesome!
I have 6 kids: 1 girl and 5 boys
Oldest to youngest
Greyson Kekai Holt-10
James Maverick Holt-8
Hazyl Juniper-6
Milo Jaxton-4
Fox Ryden-2
August Henley-6m
I love there names
Those pictures of your children are adorable! You're kids are beautiful!!
I love your chatty videos they’re so calming and interesting!!
Ah thank you x
My mom also changed my name after I was born! I was originally called Brooklyn Mackenzie during pregnancy but the night I was born my mom said she had a dream and knew that brikenzie needed to be my name 😊😊
Brikenzie A. My name is Brooklyn and my sister’s name is Makenna, which everyone always mistakes for Mackenzie! Lol I thought that was funny.
Ruth Bindas ah I was so happy to finally use it! When I registered her name I had a little cry 😢
SJ Strum aww I bet. Very emosh times xx
Oh my God I have always LOVED the name Hugo. I want to name my future baby Hugo.
Me too - isn't it the cutest! x
I have a little Hugo. We also had Gabriel and Tobias in our list and also Theodore. I’ve never once regretted our decision - people comment all the time they like Hugo’s name 👍🏻
It's such a cute name for a baby and it works all the way to adulthood to when they become senior citizens.
Look up the Danish cartoon character troll Hugo first :’D
I love your daughter’s name!! How do you spell it? I was trying to find spelling variations of it and couldn’t find any.
I have a 4 month old and her name is Oakley Grace.😊 It suits her quite well!
My kids names (girl and boy) are Cora Lily and Tristan Vitruvius. I've always loved baby names too and I'm having another girl soon. My top 3 right now are Elena, Emilia, and Freya...but I'm very indecisive.
I’m glad you stuck with her name because it’s like she’s named after her sister
So fun! Thanks for sharing SJ!

Boy baby name: Beau
Girl baby: Eve
I have always loved those names ahh
Cheyenne Reardon in French, Beau means Beautiful
:)
How do you pronounce Beau?
My top girly names:
1. Melody Rain (Mel)
2. Kaya Winter (kay)
3. Penelope Mae (penny or mae)
Top boy names:
1. Kayden Jay (KJ)
2. Aramis Eliab (Eli)
We're working on the F as think he'll find it so empowering at school. xxxx
I have 3 girls and 2 boys my hubby and I always picked middle names from family
Boys
Daniel Allen (Husbands fathers middle name)
Garrett Alaric (Husbands middle)
Girls
Ava Jolee (jo from my middle name Lee my mom's middle name)
Mayah Kapri (my best friend)

@Tucker,Fearn and Bentley’s Angel Forever are you crazy it's his child as well.
My bros name is Daniel i always liked his name even though it's not really different
Oooh I really like that too - I love Nate as a nickname - that's a shame. Sure you'll find something equally lush! x
I absolutely love your baby name videos ❤️ I always look forward to them and I’m not even pregnant 🤣 Evelina Blossom is the most beautiful name 💗 xx
Ah thanks hon; I love Evelina Blossom a lot! x
oh my gosh! I'm obsessed with baby names as well.. I am always the animal namer for my family/friends. I love human names for animals.
Girls
-river
-Marnie
-willow
-Libby
Boys
-teddy
-tarquin
Those are different i like them
Aww you could totally be a Lily! Love your style
I've been following you for a while now and I've always loved your kids' names!
Wow gorgeous names! Yes imagine Me as a Lily! I'd love that so much - I love your mix of names. I've never heard Keturah; there's an island here called Brenna x
alenajingle love these names... I have a niece Keturah Renee, who is now a teacher collecting names.
My name is Brenna! I never hear of other people with the name! I'm Brenna Christine
@@SJ_Strum keturah is a bible name my daughters friends are called keturah and keziah . Both biblical names .
Maia is such a beautiful name and in the myths both greek and roman is such great meaning
I love the name Ivy
My favourite names are:
Lucas
Brooklyn
Danny
Taytum
Tommy
Oakley
August
my names Brooklyn 😂😂
Anyone else in the UK watch Holby city? The main character is called Henrick and his son is Fredric 😂
My little girl who has just turned 3 is Heidi Blossom 🌸 Love your baby name uploads 💕
Our son is Olan Arthur. I’m pleased with it!! I just wish people wouldn’t think It’s Owen when I tell them.
Riley, Ava, Hazel, Lucy, Kenzie, Belle, Blayke, Mia, and Zara are my favourite girl names
My cousins daughter is ava grace my sis in laws friend s daughter is riley dunno the middle name. My other cousin has luciana
Aww I love all the names you picked for your kids. Evelina in particular is such a pretty name.
My two girls are called:
Summer Rose
and
Amber Lily.
Rachel at Home ah I love Blake loads! I worked with a really cool guy with that name :-) x
I’m 18 and I don’t plan or want a baby ANYTIME SOON but I just love names 😂
I really enjoyed this vlog, loved hearing about your choices.
Interesting how you said about Finn and his speech and not quite managing his name, i had the exact same problem with my Raife ( he has speech delay too), hes 5 and can now just about say his name, sometimes clearer than other times.
I really struggled with this and often wished we had named him something else but we adore his name and its special for him 💞💞
Finn will get there xxx
Charlotte Hardy ahhh that’s good to hear. Yes he’ll get it; it’s just a shame it’s a hard sound for him. He struggled with Evelina a lot too; I was thinking I should have called her Greta as he’s good with the G 🙈 but it’s short term I hope xxxxx
Charlotte Hardy love that name!
I love the name Lola so so much! WE had a cat named Lola or it would have been on my list! xxx
@@SJ_Strum a friend of mine had a similar issue. She wanted to name her daughter Bella but had a family dog with that name already 🙈
Courtney-Leigh Oakes I love the name Lacie xx
I have 4 kids (2 boys and 2 girls)
1. Stuart Emmett
2. Isla Yasmine
3. Earl Hugo
4. Paloma Jayla
what do u think?
Love your babies names! We have two boys with short names, Will (10) and Jude (9) - (Jude got his name as 'Hey Jude' came on the ipod just as I pushed him out!) So we chose a long name 'Francesca' when our 5 year old little girl was born! I am still obsessed with babynames even though we don't want anymore babies!!xx
Oh my gosh this made me feel so much better! I'm pregnant with my first and my hormones are making me hate everything I've always loved!
If she was a boy I wanted the name Reggie x
kay fuz ah it’s a gorgeous name! I get loads of compliments on it! Aaliyah is so pretty too. 💕💕💕 glad to have more Evelina’s around! X
Holy guacamole your oscar.... my twin is called Oskar and I'm called Mathilda (oscar would have been called tilda) jeez
This is so neat! My husband is french and I am a Japanese American. Our kids had to have names that worked in three different languages! It was super challenging but we have an Elena, Timothée , and Clarice. I don’t know what we will do if we have another since it was so hard to find the names we have. 😬
We have a difficult surname that is pronounced weirdly and nowone can spell, Wemyss! So gave my babies nice easy names, Julie, Michael and Richard.
Tineke Williams you’re first name doesnt really look like an English name
I love the name you chose for your daughter so pretty.
thank you x
@@SJ_Strum welcome its close to my daughter's name emmalina
My kids names are
Francis George
Clare Bernadette
Peter Aquinas
And the names we have picked for our next baby are
Augustin Blaise
Marie Azelie
My best friend just gave birth to identical twin girls. She wants to call them Cléo and Chloé ... Good names but maybe not to Identical twins? Their big brother is called Léo and their big sister is called Zoé. Personally I think that all those name in a sibling group are too similar. Do you have any advice what to tell her?
I'm baby name obbsessed toooooo!!! Called my little girl Solita after my Spanish nan. I love it x
awww i’m called lily happy you like it haha💖
A niece named Alana and strangest of all my middle name is Thomasine ( because even though Im a girl my mom wanted to name me after my grandfather)
amishgirlonline i like Elliot a lot!!
I like all those names! Very uncommon! haha hey, I can't judge someone based on a middle name because mine is Durelle which is very strange itself!
Wow. I really like “Alejandro Flores”, that just sounds so beautiful!
Love the names you picked for your children! My middle child Lily was born in 2006 before it became hugely popular but i still love her name X
Angie J it’s such a lovely name! I knew no Lily’s growing up so it seemed so beautiful and unique and I still only know one x
