Isuzu pulled out of the American market shortly after the turn of the century, unfortunately. Isuzu is still carrying on strong all across the world, they have build up quite the reputation with their D-Max trucks. P.S. : Consider yourself lucky to even have Isuzu's sold in your country, I live in Canada, where Isuzu's were never sold. But that didn't stop me! My 1986 P'up LS Spacecab that I brought up north is running strong!
I agree, the compact trucks of today are the full-sized trucks of yesteryear. But the situation on the Isuzu front just got brighter! It looks like the Isuzu D-Max will be making its way on over to North America, hidden behind the badge of the 2014 Chevrolet Colarado! And it will be available in the diesel to boot!
