A fellow photographer sent me an email telling me about a cool look that is very popular these days which is a very contrasty desaturated style. I will show you how to do it and how to create Presets to re-use this type of effect!

This is one of the best lightroom tutorials I came across on UA-cam.
This was so helpful, thank you for your video!
you are the most generous person I have even came acrossed.
So Awesome!!! That final one was amazing with that preset. Great job!
@Serge Ramelli I have come across a video you did about the Hollywood look and that helped me get started on split toning lightroom. But this time around I was on a tireless search to determine how the effect you explained in this tutorial is achieved, but to no avail.
Thanks a lot, it all makes sense now.
Thank you for the free Presets and now that I realise how simple it is to load them into Lightroom I will be investing in some more from your store. Vous êtes très gentil - je vous remercie monsieur
I followed your instructions and created this preset & it’s fantastic. Thank you.
So awesome! Enjoy :-)
I must admmit i didnt like you so much at first, but after seeing most of your videos I cant stop watching them and realised you are a great guy. Thank you!
I watch all of your tutorials, they are really professional, thanks.
Mr. Ramelli,
Thank you so much for this fantastic tutorial.
I never enjoyed photography around a city because the shots always look so boring and flat.
After watching your tutorial, I pulled some old forgotten pictures, applied your techniques and I was BLOWN AWAY!
Thank you again Sir, and thank you for such great content!
Best wishes,
Steve

Another great tutorial... Learning a lot from your videos
Thank you Serge! I learn new stuff every time from your video , and I have to say that the tutorial packages were absolutely worth for value from the website ! You have been very helpful to both my photography and LR skills. Thank you!
I'm brand new to lightroom. thank you for giving ideas to make fotos that i have taken and make them better.
this is so awesome =)
i have around 32 gigs of yet untouched photos from my trip to Australia. this will become very handy!
thanks for your awesome work!
everytime I watch one of your videos I learn so much!
Thank you for this lesson and even more importantly thank for the presets.
Somebody from my workplace Recommended your channel, I decided to give it a look. This is the first video I have watched, your tutorials are great, simple, clear instruction, and its really good that you allow us to use the exact photos which you use in your videos. For me its easier to learn doing the exact thing from someone rather than adapting it to my pictures. Cant say any bad, Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the reply, One question, I have been following this user for quite a while on Instagram, I was just wondering how he manages to edit his photographs, Im talking more specifically the Orange/Red toned ones instagram.com/kyleohlson/ But any advice would be great!
Thaaaank you! Been trying to figure this kind of style out in photoshop for a while now, playing with different LUTs and curves and stuff... Legend
Honestly love your videos Serge! Learnt Lightroom from you. So grateful!

Cool effect - I'll try the desaturated/selective colour look on some city shots this weekend!
Merci Serge. Belle découverte.
Thank you for this awesome video!
Serge, I hope I can get your presets. You really are very good at explaining your tutorials. I have to figure out how to unzip. That is where I got stuck on my Mac. I love LR, but I am a beginner. Thanks to you I have made my pics look great. You are a good teacher. Regards. Mickey.
This is amazing Serge. I have been trying to figure out how to do this for so long. Thank you!
Serge, thank you so much for the beautiful effect and tutorial! I'm taking my camera around the city of Providence, RI tomorrow and I know what presets I'm going to use on my shots when I get home. Thank you, ahead of time!
thank you so much dude, really love your preset
Hello Serge, HNY 2023. I learned and practised your tuts. I am just a hobbiest with my entry level cam, but the results are awesome. I wanted to share my work for your critics, is that possible? Thanks for good tuts and advices, keep on the good work!
I just found out your youtube channel recently and It's amazing! Thanks for the presets and the tutorials!
Literally this was what I was exactly looking for!
mr serge, this is exactly what i'm looking for. thank you so much for posting this tutorial
god bless you !
Hello Serge, I'm using Lightroom but not lightroom cc.
Will those presets work on lightroom?
Thanks for the tutorials & videos
Thank you so much for this tutorial!
OK Serge, since you suggest, when are we going to see the Fine Art Photography in B&W like the Julia Anna Gospadoru style? Thanks in advance
This is exactly what I've been looking for. Going to NYC next month and hoping to get some great shots. Although I don't have Lightroom, I generally just use photoshop. Am I able to create the same effect just using photoshop?
Great tutorials! I subscribed and follow all your social media accounts. However, the preset link/file does not show up. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the video! How is the noise level when blowing out highlights though? Even at ISO 100 I find that the grain becomes much more apparent, unless that's the intended effect.
thank you Serge, been waiting way to long for a new video. the other daily tips just don't do it like a video.
Bonjour Mr. Ramelli, avez-vous le même genre de tutoriel mais pour photoshop ?
Bien cordialement
This is awesome. Thank you very much.
Hello,
really like your work
what camera are you using for this particular session?
It's really odd to me that you go full 100 or so with settings and it looks greeat. I'm using 7d canon and I really have to be careful with overusing options. But when you do it seems so normal.
Merci pour ce super tutoriel l'ami :)
Thank you for making this tutorial!
Love your tutorials, amazing talent!!!
Nice video!
How do you make the buildings straight?
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I've been looking around for a while finally saw this
Excellent tutorial thanks a million
Props bro! First, video I've watched and you got me. I really like how you explain and go through each step.
man I really like your page I use lightroom mobile 📱 and this really help with looks on the go 👍 you got a new sub
Thank you very much! I've downloaded your free presets, but when I apply the preset BW Contrast yellow orange, my image gets distorted? How is this possible?
