    i like how it's more modern than ever but it still throws homage to the 60s and 70s mustang, you agree?

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  9 років тому +1

      +Xenios9 Yes, Xenios9. As you probably saw in the video, Chris (our presenter) highlights some of those traits on this 2015 GT. We feel Ford did a good job blending the past and the present/future together without making it look strange. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching, too!

    Coming from a Chevrolet guy, Ford did a fantastic job on the design of this car.

      We agree, DA REAL JACKIE CHAN. Have you seen pics of the updated 2018 model? We definitely want to see that one in person before we make a verdict on its styling changes. Thanks for watching!

    I love my 2015 Ruby Red Performance pack GT took delivery last November 1st one of the first to get my mustang in all of New England. Have since added an MRT mid pipe and a Magna Flow comp exhaust.

    • @AutoAcademics

      Peter R That sounds sweet, Peter R. While the stock 5 Liter sounds decent enough, we don't blame you for swapping out that exhaust. Enjoy your ride and thanks for watching!

    Hey thanks for the good review! I never see reviewers use the line lock mode, you made my day... or night I guess.

      ZepG Yeah, that was definitely a feature that we wanted to get on camera, ZepG. We're glad you enjoyed it and hope you check out some more of our videos. Thanks for watching!

    I just discovered AutoAcademics and I'm catching up on all your videos. Jumped from the 2018 Mustang review to this one. My first car was a mustang also (an '81). So I get it.

    I have the 2015 base model GT with two tone interior. The main difference is it doesn't have the preformance pack and togals but still has the all options with out the snow, but has the choice of three steering modes. I average 22 to 23 combined and i also drive 10 over and mainly highway. I love my stang and glad i stayed with it after wreaking my 06. I believe the axle has the 3.51. Yes it is the 6 speed manual.

      +Scott Green Thanks for sharing, Scott Green. It's always nice to hear from other Mustang owners out there. An average of 22-23 mpg from a car with 435-hp and 400 lb.-ft. of torque is very impressive to us. Good luck with the car and thanks for watching!

    Nicely done. Good comments about the suspension. I don't want track suspension for driving on street. I will most likely NEVER drive on the track, LOL. I want a little bit of refined comfort in my ride. Gimme lots of power though!!!!!!!

    I'm in the UK and have an '06 V8 GT. I had to do a lot to get it going quicker and louder. I'm pretty happy now but will never stop modding. I've seen the new S550 here and I really do not like that front end. Rear quarter looks great but not the front. However, the Shelby upgrades do make a difference to the looks. As for the sound, I would expect it to sound a lot beefier stock, although I understand it is a blank canvas for modifying. Great video and pretty good review. Thumbs up!.... and slowly I am liking the S550 more, although if I do get one it MUST be a V8, MUST be a manual and MUST NOT be standard!

      +Mursyid Omar Mursyid Omar, thank you for the kind words. We truly appreciate it. And we're sure Chris will too (if we tell him, LOL). If he keeps receiving accolades like this, he might start asking for an extra package of Twizzlers in his pay. At any rate, thank you again for your comments and if you haven't done so already, please consider subscribing to our channel. We can use all the help we can get. Thanks for watching!

      By the way, did you guys tested the ones with automatic transmission? I'm interested to know any reviews/feedback. From the review I understood that you can't get the performance package with the automatic ones.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  8 років тому

      Mursyid Omar We did have a brief stint with an automatic EcoBoost Mustang, but were not able to do a full test on one. It was a nice car, as well, but we haven't tested an automatic GT.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  8 років тому

      Well, since you watched the video, you know that Chris agrees with you 1000%, Rafa Rafa. The 2016 Mustang GT coupe with a manual transmission starts at $32,395. However, Ford is now only listing the 2017 Mustang GT on its website with a starting M.S.R.P. of $32,645. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

    great review dude! the 5.0 exhaust sounds disappointing with stock system. especially compared to Camaro SS and challenger 392.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  8 років тому

      Yeah, stock Mustangs have always been rather muted when compared to some of the other sports/muscle/pony cars on the market. That is, except for the new GT 350/R. Check it out here! ua-cam.com/video/ljJ7TqpzpT4/v-deo.html. Enjoy and thanks for watching! Oh, and thanks for the kind words, too!

      yes it does

      As Matt Pedersen replied before us, yes it does have hill start assist. That's becoming a common feature on all types of cars with manual transmissions now. Even the current-gen Corvette has it. Thanks for watching!

    The new body is so beautifull I can't explaine. But read somewhere that you should never get the first year of a new model since their can be a lot of mistakes that they fix in the second third and fourth year of its lifeline do you agree with this are their any rumors about the 15' models having mistakes in them or errors in the system?

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  8 років тому +1

      +Annoying While that can be true, it's hard to say not to buy a car in its first year of production. Now, we may shy away from buying the first run of an all-new car, but after 5 or 6 months have passed, you should be able to get a feel for any immediate issues as people will start posting them online. So far, we haven't heard anything specific about the 2015 Mustang in regards to reliability on any of the models. But we haven't researched them for that either. Luckily, that info is just a Google search away. We appreciate your comments and thank you again for the sub!

      What a statement and question!
      And from such a pretty gal :)
      I too, find this mustang hard to not stare at. But to answer your question, There was a lot of love put into this car, as it shows for sure. Its safe to say that this is as good as it gets for now. If you have Netflix, checkout the documentary "a faster horse" or it should even be on youtube. Theres also "the making of the 2015 ford mustang" on youtube. We'll have ours one day :D
      Cheers!

    Great review!! But this 5.0 sounds like a 4 banger. Come on, Ford!

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  9 років тому

      fsugrad03 Ha! It actually sounded pretty decent in person, for a stock Mustang, that is. We spent some time with the EcoBoost 4-cylinder, as well, but were not able to video that one. Hopefully, we'll have an opportunity to do so at a later date. Now that car sounded like a 4-cylinder. LOL All this 5-Liter needs is a nice set of cat-backs and it'll sound as mean as it runs. Thanks for the kind words, fsugrad03, and thanks for watching!

      sumguy8 Hey, sumguy8. Shelbys have always been preferred over the garden variety Mustangs, so we won't try to argue with you there. However, that '67 GTA convertible was definitely something to look at (and listen to) with its hi-po 289 and 4-barrel carbs. Enjoy your car, and oh yeah, no offense taken! Thanks for watching!

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  8 років тому +1

      +trebombs4life Actually they come in pretty handy when it's dark outside. Keeps you from stepping in puddles (hence the name, puddle lights) or other smelly stuff that you don't want on your shoes or your Mustang's carpets. Many cars have them today and premium makes, such as Audi, charge a premium for the fancy logos like the "running horse." Thank you for sharing, trebombs4life and thanks for watching, too!

    Unorganized man, your just rambling aimlessly about whatever crosses your mind, your saying the same thing over and over again in different words

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  8 років тому +5

      We appreciate you taking the time to share that with us, jack mama. We are curious, however, if you honestly have a vested interest in helping AutoAcademics improve its video production, or if you're like those on UA-cam who have nothing productive to offer. If it is the former, we'd love for you to share with us the specific points where we were "unorganized" and "rambling aimlessly." Please send them to www.autoacademics.net, as this is not the forum for that kind of conversation. Now if you didn't have our best interest in mind, and just wanted to say something rude, well, congratulations. At any rate, thanks for watching.
