This movie is completely underrated i feel. Never thought anything of Ryan Gosling until i saw this movie, and now he's one of my favorite actors working.
@@throfur3489 I suppose i appreciated those types of movies less at that time. It just didn't live up to the insane hype it got from everyone around me. Mind you i was quite young back then. But perhaps i'll rewatch it at some point.
@@Sabbathguy Well, it's a very small scene, and he's not even acting, he's basically pretending to be asleep, with a highly obscured face which attracts no attention. Still, I guess it definitely could've come up once or twice.
It's small, but the line that actually gets the biggest laugh out of me is this part - Holland: "Tally, you're not gonna believe what happened. There's been some foul play. That briefcase you gave us, someone swapped it out! There was no money in it." Tally: *Cackling* No sh*t. This movie is a perfect mixture of comedy, action, story, and characterisation. I could easily envision a wonderful, long-running series, and a relaxed directing career for Shane Black after first envisioning all his sequels. He pleaded with people to not see Captain America: Civil War the seventh time, and see his film instead, but unfortunately, it seems that didn't occur.
This is a very funny buddy cop action comedy movie! There were talks of a Sequel as well as a spinoff TV series, but unfortunately, due to the poor box office, $70 million dollars against a $50 million dollar budget, plans of this happening were scrapped.
Hilarious movie, particularly Ryan Gosling. I like how easily and convincingly he can do both funny roles like this and then play very serious and intimidating characters like in Bladerunner and Drive 25:22-25:25 the shot that probably got Quentin Tarantino to cast her in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” 🦶 😆 Love how you recognize Keith David after he played Elroy in Community 🙂
They shot the exterior of that bowling alley at the abandoned Covina Bowl and then painted out the damage to the building and parking lot. Later, condos were built on the site, but they left the sign and entrance and did a restoration job on them.
I have tried to watch 4 other reaction movies to this today and got fed up with the excess commentary. Thank you so much for doing this , it was an excellent watch
One of my favourites! So sad it didn’t get a sequel Also be careful with copyright this movie is notorious for taking down reactions and fan made trailers for some reason.
This movie is hilarious. If you want to see a movie about gov't corruption check out Wag the Dog (1997), a political satire black comedy. I had a general trust in things before I saw that movie, but it changed me. It's about a political fixer (Robert DeNiro) who hires a Hollywood Producer (Dustin Hoffman) to create what turns out to be an elaborate cover story for the corrupt president. It's really a very good movie.
Russell Crowe gained a lot of weight for this role because he thought Healy needed be a big, burly brawler type. He also introduced young Australian actress Angourie Rice (Holly) to her put Pop-Tart. He even toasted it for her, but she thought it was disgusting.
@@Enrique-GarciaThat reminds me think of South Park when the boys made Butters gain a lot of weight as part of a weight loss scam with City Wok, but when they found out that losing the weight was much harder than gaining it, they resorted to DIY liposuction.
Parents these days don't even know how to parent their own children. Social media would be better off for kids under 16 it ruins lives. Nearly ruined mine
@@itzbp9949It would be great if social media was gone, period. This morning it looked like every Facebook account had possibly been deleted and I thought it was too good to be true.

You should watch drive then
@@throfur3489 Watched it a bit after it came out. Was fine, but nothing great imo. Great performances of course.
@@Celeborn93 What? That movie was great! Loved the awkwardness combined with the bloody action.

@@Celeborn93yeah I thought Drive was just okay, not nearly as good as people said
Man the amount of times Ryan Gosling gets fucked up and his delivery is freaking hilarious 😂😂😂😂
Thank you for leaving Ryan's scream in there, haha
This is one of those movies that leaves me liking the characters so much that I want to see more of them.
8:13 "like a glitter bomb."
no, like a dye bag. dye bags came first.
Random factoid: Sid Shattuck was played by an uncredited Robert Downey Jr.
So random and I also can’t find anywhere where rdj even talked about doing it lmao

Ryan Golsing is a comedy gem
This and edge of tomorrow are two films that are bangers that flew under the radar.

I hate that. This is such an entertaining movie and I bet their sequel would have been just as funny.

Loved this movie. I think it’s extremely underrated, sad most people don’t know this.
6:25 i love this scream. 😆
I havent even gotten to the part of the video where the reaction starts and i know exactly what youre talking about 😅😅 its iconic honestly
18:15 is best scene in cinema

One of the best movies.
Apart from the obvious ones (Gosling, Crowe, Keith David), you know Holly from the MCU Spider-Man movies.
One of my favourites! So sad it didn’t get a sequel
Also be careful with copyright this movie is notorious for taking down reactions and fan made trailers for some reason.
Shane Blacks screenplay is faithful enough to Russell Crow and Ryan Gosslings' soap-operatic inclinations, but i kind of wish it weren't. Lol

Ah I love this movie! So under-rated, the character's chemistry just works even as fucked up as it is!
No way im soo hyped this is my favourite movie of all time bro, thanks for the reaction Primate keep up the amazing work bro❤

No, dude. I live in Florida and the state shouldn't tell people how to parent their own children. Stop clapping for fascist right-wing laws.

Whys that funny?
I swear if @sushijuice6895 says “Im in this movie” I’m gonna lose it
I can't believe you would support suppressing free speech for people under 16. That's a little fascist.
you must be 16
You don't even know what a fascist is it's you. If you can not go fight and die for the Country that you are not an adult and have limited rights.
Trust me it would do a world of good for kids not to have social media. Social media almost ruined my life

Nah children under 16 don't need to be on tech like that. It's a good law that should be nationwide
