@@DouglasThompson with elastic... bungie cords... (due to the seat moving independently to the frame of which the seatbelt/ harness is attached to... but yeah.
@@Stand_Tall yes, but the seat also moves independently and the seat belts are attached with bungie cords at the bottom. So he doesn't strangle himself with the seat belts when the seat moves, have a look for yourself
Driving skill aside, it's the memory that impresses me most. I just started sim racing and have driven the Nurburgring like 50 times and I still don't remember every turn.
@@saxojon I raced Nurburgring on multiple games and consoles And I can remember every turn with no problem. Try playing a motorcycle game in the Nurburgring and after ten laps you will see how much it helps

Most impressive part for me is how you handled the braking zone into the turn at 1:00, very difficult to master at that speed due to the slight right-hand kink! Superb!
I need someone to make such a video where there is a crash and the rig turns upside down along with the car using edits. That'd be priceless. Title it: "The day sim racing got too realistic".
I played all of the old dirt games on controller and I was pretty decent at them. I would go through all of the racing series’ and enjoy tf out of it. I’ll never forget getting dirt in 2015-16? I’d drive 100 meters and crash all over the place. It was very frustrating. I quit soon as I started and just assumed it was designed to be played with a steering wheel. I’m sure people can play it well with a control but I didn’t want to put that much effort into learning it.
i thought your harness was connected to the frame with carabiners and thought to myself "damn that cant be good for the servos" but then I realized they were little bungees. so smart
None of this works in Forza horizon. Its an arcade game, it wont even read the wheelbase. And it will give you no data on motion. This is meant for simulator games.

Thank you for this video my friend. I showed this to a few friends to introduce them to sim builds. By any chance could you show us a completely horizontal point of camera view, version of a race? I would love to see more details of the rig and specifically how the actuator moves from a horizontal view point.

That is crazy insane motion with that rig. Great driving and looks like quite an experience with the rig. And I thought I would get sick with just VR, which I didnt. I think if I added VR with the rig settings you just did, I would probably get sick from driving that way. thanks for the video.
To me it would seem that this would reduce VR sickness as its precisely caused by the lack of motion that you perceive. This would help to alleviate that
@@dathyr1 Yeah that's very subjective. There's person's who get horribly sick when watching rollercoaster in VR for example and me on my first VR experience wasn't even in the slightest phased by it. Though I definitely can't say I've ever done sim racing with VR. Maybe one day when I can afford that lol
@@mathiasrryba Sounds great. If you ever do get VR you probably wont want to go back to watching on a flat screen, VR puts me right in the drivers seat while racing. Unless you buy 3 large LCD screens for front and side views. Also Very expensive doing the 3 screens. Happy Holidays to you.

that sequential shifter literally has the most eargasmic positive click i've heard from any piece of sim racing equipment

i wouldve thought a real sequential shifter would make more of a gear changing clunk than a high pitched click. but yeah, it is quite nice.
