    As a freelance live sound engineer I have to say that I love the level of planning and organizing this company has achieved, it would be a dream to work for a company that works as such. I see so many ruined events or events where everyone has to work 2x overtime just because of the lack of preparation. Kudos < 3

    Brilliant - great video! Thanks Adlib. I production manage for some venues at the Edinburgh Fringe and while a month-long theatre festival isn't quite the same as a touring show, it requires much of the same people and no less preparation. It's great to see our industry on show like this! (also, Adlib, how clean and new is all your stuff?! Seriously I've never seen such new-looking kit)

    Kaon here, I work as Stagehand Labor, with the union I'm in, we help production crew and the roadies to build their concert sets, and tear them down, load the trucks under their lead and send them off to their next venue. We work on Arenas, Theaters, Trade shows, Expos, Conferences, etc. I love my job, and my older coworkers love to see younger adults/new adults in the Live Venue Entertainment industry!

    I don't work in the live event space but have always been fascinated by all the logistics and work that goes on behind the scenes to put on these shows! My utmost respect goes out to every single person who collectively works to put together these experiences for the people like me in the crowd, having our minds blown by the audio/visual spectacle! Thank you all and to the makers of this video for simplifying an immensely technical process into fantastically simple visuals to explain it all!! Cheers!!

    You should make a video about photographers and videographers, so the people who are working in that industry, could show people that does not understand the value we do, so everyone could learn and be educated. That was incredible. What i find interesting as a single person technical-support-outfit is that I do most, if not all of the technical work myself and on a scale that is small enough that the workload is manageable, yet the end result can still be impressive for the 100-300 people that might see the event I am tech’ing when done with finesse and creativity.

    • @thenamen935
      @thenamen935 2 місяці тому

      For me it's also interesting to see how bigger events manage. I've worked at a gig lately with about 300 to 500 people and we had 3 people working around the stage (not including building the stage and dismanteling it again). One for lights, sound and instruments, one for timekeeping, artists, coordinarion and as stagehand and one assistant to both of them.
      On the other hand (a bit bigger) I am in a crew of 5 people who organize four open air evenings per year with 2 to 4 thousand guests. One of my departments is technics. We've got one guy for sound, video and projector (with 3 assistants for building up and taking everything down again + 1 camera operator) and one guy (me) for lighting, ambience and every other technical need like energy & water supply, internet, radios, digital infrastructure (with 1 assistant + helpers as needed).
      If I look at the other departments I'm in charge of (logistics, security) as well as all departments of the five other organizers we've got 62 people working to make the event happen which is a crazy number.
      These are 40 volonteers, 5 department managers and 17 external workers
      + all the people in the warehouses, logistics, managment, etc. for the material we use and rent (around 10 involved companies, multiple truckloads of material)
      + city employees signing our concepts ^^

    I love how i'm somehow involved with event management on a lower scale so i get the logistics being a spider's web
    but i also find it funny how it looks overcomplicated as hell once you realize we're all the same species living in the same floating rock
    like how hard it is to bring artists to the same continent that gets _everyone_ anyways? since we're all the same tiny particles around the same fire ball

    Man!!! That is a whole lot than I expected 😂🙆🏽‍♂️ I even forgot all the things I wanted to say....I guesss one thing was about how I thought events only required booking the place -hiring the person to set up the place - announce the event - play the event 😅. It was amazing to see all that goes to creating an event. Thank you for sharing this amazing video.l 😎 Also, I was about to ask if I could have a job, as this looked interesting or maybe the way you presented it made it interesting, but at the end of the video I saw that you covered that as well 😂 Like you knew I was going to ask for a job. It would be amazing work there I think but I don't know anything much and not very sharp. Still glad I watched it. 😅👍🏽 Also, I am sure y'all might not even see the comment but I wanted to share my heart out 🤣🤣
