    The Phantom of the Opera
    「オペラ座の怪人」より
    The Phantom of the Opera (French: Le Fantôme de l'Opéra) is a novel by French writer Gaston Leroux. It was first published as a serialisation in Le Gaulois from September 23, 1909, to January 8, 1910. It was published in volume form in April 1910 by Pierre Lafitte.[1] The novel is partly inspired by historical events at the Paris Opera during the nineteenth century and an apocryphal tale concerning the use of a former ballet pupil's skeleton in Carl Maria von Weber's 1841 production of Der Freischütz.[1] Nowadays, it is overshadowed by the success of its various stage and film adaptations. The most notable of these are the 1925 film depiction featuring Lon Chaney and Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1986 musical.

    At 5:55 the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trumpets are perfectly balanced and their tone is impeccable:

    Their tone quality is so amazing. They play phantom of the opera music better than any other band in my opinion! I particularly love their trumpet section.

    I'm still mad that my band director back in high school pulled the plug on us performing phantom of the opera. this was exceptional.

    This brought tears to my eyes, not only because of how beautiful it is but because of the memories the phantom of the opera soundtrack brings back to me 😭😭😭

    THIS IS OUTSTANDING....Have followed this group for years, seen students leave and new ones come into the group....but always...ALWAYS an outstanding performance. Great conductor too....A pleasure to watch and listen to. Thanks

      +Paul Miller I started listening to more performances by this band after listening to their El Camino Real (my favourite version amongst what I've heard on UA-cam. Love the conductor's interpretation.)They don't disappoint each time!

      +ざえり After spending 4 years in my high school marching and symphonic bands......now back there as a volunteer and working on a retrospective book of our past 95 years of music.....I have come to really enjoy the quality of musicians that the Japanese school systems produce. From elementary to middle and senior high schools, they have far exceeded most of our American counterparts.....in my opinion. This one group is fantastic as are others of course,....but from the woodwinds to the low brass...and percussion, They excel at their craft.

      +ざえり Like you, I also enjoy their performance of El Camino Real, I can remember playing it in school.....a great French Horn part. I enjoy our messages to each other, lets stay in touch.

      I left my high school band near 12 years ago. Listening to such music again brings back memories. :') It would be nice to watch this band live some day.

      +ざえり Once you experience this music by playing it.....it never leaves you. I would also love to listen to them live as I would several others.... besides the symphonic music...also the marching units such as Tachibana and others. However being in the U.S., to say the least it's difficult, but still a dream. :-)

    Found this a little stayed in places. It's like they're playing the music as written rather than feeling it. But brilliant musicians nevertheless, they just need a less regimented conductor

    • @brooksgorst9793
      @brooksgorst9793 3 роки тому +1

      I disagree. I think he is a very good utilitarian conductor....He is expressive in his face and arms. Conductors need to be more like him: serve the music, not the ego.
