I've been watching NASCAR for 40 years, and I've NEVER seen a driver so arrogant who has accomplished so little. Unless you want to count a rain-shortened race, Bubba has 1 damn Cup win in nearly 200 starts. He's never even made the playoffs and his best points finish is 19th lol. He's never won a championship in ANY Nascar division. This is despite a VERY well funded career with a billionaire owner. Meanwhile, a guy like Jimmie Johnson won 7 Cup championships, and is more humble than Bubba. Bubba's ego is twice the size of his talent. And it's NOT a racial thing at all. I remember black drivers like Bill Lester, Willy T. Ribbs, and black drivers now like Jesse Iwuji and Rajah Caruth, plus owners like Michael Jordan, announcers like Brad Daughtery, etc. They all seem like good guys. I think racism is stupid, and I hope a young black driver with a GOOD ATTITUDE starts outshining Bubba on the track, and is EMBRACED by NASCAR fans. Because then, Bubba will realize his problem is not "the color of his skin". HIS problem, is the "content of his character".

He drove a shit box til 2021. He won races in trucks. He was in Roush at the tail end of their success. He’s more than qualified for a cup ride. Has he had the most success? No. But William Byron looked like an absolute fool in the 24 car for several years til he figured it out. Bubba just strung together the best month of finishes he’s ever had. He’ll get some more wins, but might not light the world on fire. You probably won’t still be a fan, but I think his results are coming.

I want to make a hypothetical scenario to plant in everybody's head:
Imagine having a child; a son specifically. He's 14-15 years old, is doing well in school, respectful towards his elders and peers, he probably plays a sport, is a hit with the girls, etc. One day, you and your son are sitting on the couch watching TV and he releases a fart. When you hear it, you would likely laugh about considering that it's a bit out of character for him.
Now, imagine having a son who's 14-15 years old and he's a menace to society. Maybe his grades are bad, likely a bully at school, maybe he's gotten in trouble with the law for some petty stuff like vandalism or disorderly conduct, maybe he doesn't get along with his siblings, etc. One day, you and your son are sitting on the couch watching TV and he releases a fart. When you hear it, you're likely so fed up with his antics that you may contemplate throwing something at his head.
Right now, Bubba is that latter kid, and this was me pretty much saying that when you get in so much dumb drama as Bubba does, the smaller things he does will upset us as much as the bigger things. Example: the finger.

I think Bubba’s problem has nothing to do with his cultural background, in fact he is half Caucasion, half African-American. It boils down to his immaturity and his “poor me” complex. If we are all so racist, then why do we all love Michael Jordan so much? Michael Jordan is an African American. It’s because he has accomplished so much on the basketball court and in business, and look at how he tries to stay low key. Its quite a stark contrast in how a person conducts himself, when you compare Michael Jordan and Bubba Wallace. If Bubba would just stop trying to look cool, he would probably fit in better in the industry.

While as an owner I would be all about the passion that Bubba mentioned, it’s better to let it show in on track performance and not outside car. I would like to point something out. When any of these drivers were in the lower leagues of stock car racing. It was well expected that they would utilize some of the tactics that Bubba and others use. But now Bubba has stepped up to the big leagues and his finishes have proven that he has done so. Now its time to start acting like a contender. One that you represent along with your team and sponsors. My sister when I was in the 9th grade and getting ready to graduate and move on into high school said; You are going to have to change. You are no longer in grade school but have come to high school. The way you talk, walk, etc. As funny as that sounds, it was true. I am no longer the scrub I once was. Where I got away with things in my grammar years, those were things that I wouldn't be able to get away with in high school. Bubba needs to step up. You are not in grade school any longer.

Damn straight. I am still trying to figure out how someone (Hamlin) can force a driver into the wall -- and then wonder why someone wants to take you out.
I have listened to Denny bitch and whine about Melonhead since last season. He thinks he is some type of genius because these cowards think they are "talented" because they can force other drivers into either wrecking ... or lifting. Well -- that isn't much of a choice when it comes to 1. Competitive drivers trying to win. 2. Forcing others into the wall. NASCAR as
always gets this shit wrong. I would have zero issues with any of this if Hamlin would have been penalized -- you can actually see his hands turn right forcing Elliott up the track and into the wall. Well -- guess what NASCAR ... you are talking out of both sides of your mouth.

Back in the day Nascar would have called both into the trailer to talk or listen. That usually would work and for the driver's that different usually found them on a losing end. Today it's like there's a double standard. Nascar racing is going down and needs to rebound it or say goodbye. They are losing viewers and people showing up at the track. Things need to change for everyone to enjoy racing. I hope it is not too late for Nascar heads to make good changes. Driver's like Daryl Wallace have been around in the past and lost there ride because of the attitude.

At this point I don't know if Bubba will ever quit these grade school antics. But there's one thing that will get his attention. And, that's when Michael and Denny land on him with both feet when a sponsor grows weary of Bubba's schtick and threaten to pull their support. I'm not at all in favor of "Cancel Culture" but, I find it implausible that a Corporation like, say...McDonald's would be any too happy that the driver who represents their brand, which for the most part, is all about a friendly, family, clean cut image, continually acts in this fashion. If he doesn't understand that dynamic, then he might just find himself out of a ride. And that's a lose/lose for everyone.
