      That one will never be up there as one of the great quotes. Sounds too contrived.
      Check out the Bible book of Proverbs for original and truly inspirational quotes.
      You'll find that some of the most impressive ones "coined" by many are already found in the Scriptures. Just the wording is different.

      tyra banks needs to take a breath slow down and characterize herself like the normal working middle-class-lower-class women that exist in the real world today. This video is wrongly titled. It's so much MORE THAN the little 1 or 2 minutes she talked about Naomi Campbell. Its a very click baity title but there's so much more interesting, substantive stuff that she's saying about business that I feel the title of this video minimizes all the great stuff she's saying inside this video about entrepreneurship, business, her life, etc. WSJ should change the title, the video is much more interesting than the dumb, click bait title.

    People take it for granted that top models have to be eloquent speakers. Tyra certainly personifies this. Naomi personifies this. Part of the reason the standard for top models appears to have gone down is many models now lack articulation and let texts through social media do most of the talking for them.

I think she is desperate to talk with speed not even breathing at times because she is on the verge of loosing everything to bankrupt. I think she mentioned "skims" not wal-mart or high end corporates that are working for the lower to middle class economy. Tyra banks is not thinking of the big picture, she only thinks about her first world priorities.

    Tyra Banks clearly continues to weigh herself down with her continued choice to hold ongoing, never ending resentment toward Naomi Campbell. The day that Tyra gives Naomi credit that she deserves in the industry, like Naomi being the only Model who has lasted 33+ years given the expectation to expire or be fired after the standard 11 years like everyone else......... will be the day Tyra sets herself free.

    • @Praty1980

      Set herself free??? Honey, she's been free for the last 10+ years! She's never denied Naomi, because nobody can. It still doesn't take away how Naomi treated her at the time. There are things about Tyra that Naomi wishes she could have and vice versa. Tyra is the business woman that Naomi longs to be, and Naomi is the supermodel with longevity that Tyra wished she could be.

    Tyra Banks is a legend, straight up. Her mother taught her well about life and Tyra took notes. It wasn't about money so much for her, it was business and she has capitalized tremendously at it all. In the wonderful words of Mya Angelou "Tyra is truly a phenomenal woman..That's her". I'm so proud of her. I'm honestly very proud that our young black girls have another amazing black female to look up to. And I wanted to thank Ms. Carolyn London for raising such a strong black woman with ambition, motivation, drive, moral, self worth and so much. Love and respect to Tyra Banks always. 🤗😘🖤💚💛🇯🇲

    @conexos2007 5 років тому +5

    I think in the 90's 2000's there was just one spot for: blond/ burbet/black/asian/latin/ginger etc. But now in 2019 there is social media and we can see the difference between any model and see their personality so now there can be 1000 blonds/1000black/1000th inns etc etc because each of them have their own thing and social media can help with engagement and followers numbers etc.
    So now age doesn't matter because social media gives people their own channel and platform to know them not like in the 90's that only give press to young people because that sells because is something new.
    And now with social media is not expensive to have your own publicity platform so if someone is interesting they can work in modeling and entertainment forever without the fear that people is not interested in them because they're older...

    • @conexos2007
      @conexos2007 5 років тому +1

      Social media is a tool that indicate who have sense of engage so the fear of giving publicity to someone that the viewers are not interested is gone because Tyra for example can still work in the fashion industry and marketing agencies can work with her because she sell because is proven her engagement
      So the fear of age that marketing have is not longer an issue if they work with someone like Tyra.
      And marketing area don't have to go always with the *secure plan* of young girls selling the curiosity that someone young has also the new demographic young people attract because sometimes young models don't work and don't sell like Kendall Jenner that is just "LA neighborhood celebrity" that is proven that don't increase sales. So is not always about young and targeting new demographic using young models because they don't always sale and they're not the best real image.
