9:03 - When you reassemble the front end and mysteriously have 10 spare bolts 😂🤷🏻
"did i forget the core support bolts again? nahhh-"
Dammit Earl! I thought you said they were tight!
@@paulkimber6028 "God damn it, Jim! I gave them five uggah-duggas. It ain't my damn fault!"
John deer, more like oh deer
Note to self, don't hitch the sled to the front axle.
I don't know much about tractors but that John Deere @ 8:49 in the video folded quicker than a deck of cards....
The rare and super expensive frame failure hardly seen in action but it's as much of a whack to the wallet as an engine explosion
It folded like a cheap tent.
Normally they dont shoot frames either😊
4:31 helmet rattles off his head and he promptly grabs his ballcap. winning! lol
LOL at 09:00 the tractor just flat out pukes an engine, rolls over and dies. HAHAHAHA That was too funny.
does anybody ever win?,how much does a winner make?i've never been to one of these pulls before, but if they win, does that prize money enough to repair the damage done to the trucks?,looks pretty expensive, but all the trucks have a beautiful paint job🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@jerryedwards4489 think of this as an outtake reel.
@@jerryedwards4489 $300, $400, sometimes $1700. It all depends on the purse, the league, if extra sponsors kicked in some extra kitty in the pot.

@09:55 "You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel".
I loved the large service truck attempt
You know if the engine had blown, come Monday, man there would have been a whole lotta 'splainin' to do.🤭
The one that came apart like lego... lol.
That was new
It's uncommon to see frames fail on these things among the thousands of parts that do but it's usually in spectacular fashion when they finally snap
I'm a ford fan, but it was pretty cool watching those chevys doing wheelies while they were pulling that sleigh.
You my friend is a bona-fide car guy
And breaking. LMFAO 🤣🤣
@@protipskiptoendofvideoandr286 I respect toughness.
Many of tese things are such a far departure from production vehicles that I seriously don't think we can call any of them fords or Chevys any more even if they have the badge on it
The service truck was awesome but the John Deere that followed was a real wreck. Field In Michigan
love the dog just chillin in it like another day at work
the constant loading/unloading the engine in the bounce is the culprit everytime. Thats gotta be hard on a motor.
A few of those tractors looked like fuel alteredes getting sideways down the drag strip. Hang on!
So much money in motors they forget about
1. Firesuits
2. A proper seat and harness
3. A roll cage
hell,i dont see the winners, ive never been to one of these events,is the money they get enough to fix or repair the damage that happened?looks very expensive, all of them have nice paintjobs🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
4: not using the front axle of a lawnmower and assuming it'll catch the heavy engine when coming down from a wheelie.
2:14 That fire looks like it's in control, and hot enough to roast the marshmallows.
That Deere at 8:55 looked like a Transformer!
At 4:30 The sled bucked his truck so hard his helmet flew off, I bet his shoes flew off to!
At 9:00 I had no idea there was a John Deere Transformer
damn, I didn't notice his helmet fell off, and he almost went through the windshield
So, the JD @8:50...
NEVER Saw Anything like THAT BEFORE! Reminds me of a couple of the Buildings on 9-11.
I remember that day like it was yesterday. Getting to work and watching people sitting around a computer watching the news. Smoke coming off the Pentagon as I driving by on my way to church to pray. Seeing a sweet lady that had soiled herself and overheated her Mercedes on the way home. Airmen sitting in the back of a pickup must have been a dozen of them. 9-11 was a tough one.
So the JD is almost back together. And they have another one in their stable. They are ready for another 15 year dominating stretch.
@@WWPTV THANKS for your Reply! Yeah, re: 9-11, we could talk for Hours! Can you Please tell me WHAT Caused the Destruction of that DEERE? That was NUTS! I Shared it with a Bunch of Folks, and have watched it at Least 25x, so far!
@@sevenwonders1717 The way it was explained to me is they heated up the frame over the years to make welds and customizations. Most pullers do this. But they seldom take the frame rail covers off and inspect the frame. So as the vehicle lifted for the start of the boost part of the run, the frame simply buckled. I have talked to a number of pullers and they all told me they are more vigilent about this than before. I can carry 2500 pounds on the nose easy. They had 1800 on the nose this event. They were just lucky it wasn't toward the middle or the end of the run. These guys live about 45 minutes from me. I should go check in on them soon.
@@WWPTV WOW! Thanks for letting me know! Appreciate your Channel!
Remember when tractor pulling was just pulling and not drag racing with a sled
Thanks for the video
wonder how many of those K-10 Chevys have cracked frames they are notorious for it.
If not, they will soon. Once you start hopping you should back out of it or you're gonna fuck something up.
I see a lot of helmets not strapped on and way too many drivers with their belts loose loose loose. I don’t care how quick the run is or how slow you’re going, strap in till you can’t move and yank on them another time, and for gods sake buckle your helmet on tight.
Yes most definitely.....Former NHRA for many year's you better have All of the Belts pulled tight , why wouldn't you.? Good noticed friend. Nitro Joe.
@@josephtilotta2137 It’s crazy. Ive been around dirt and drag racing my entire life, and I don’t think a lot of people realize the importance of properly mounting your belts and synching them down the the point it compresses your body down. And the helmets…. Come on lol That’s common sense. Some of these guys heads are bouncing around and off the cage, kinda like a fuel car when it shakes the tires. Unfortunately, we saw what happened to medlin, so some sort of containment seat or, at the very least, the isp head rests mounted to the roll cage could help. I’m a safety nut I guess, I’ve broken numerous bones and had a few too many concussions to care about the coolness factor anymore lol.
Pp1ppll11plqp
As a drag racer in both NHRA and IHRA you’d be amazed by how many people don’t wear their belts tight enough, don’t wear their fire suits and don’t do their helmets up properly. I couldn’t imagine being able to move in my seat. I’d feel so unsafe

4:40 - that truck bucked so hard that the driver's helmet came off 👀 I hope he was OK.
Doubt he was wearing his chinstrap.... if you're not wearing it, getting bucked will knock your lid off.
Wild Rides! Yeah, I tried not to put any cupcake footage in this one. And I didn't want to beat up on any one puller too much. YES! Get those chin straps cinched up and fastened. 4:50 Seems like that stops being 4 wheel drive and becomes 2 wheel drive.🤔
The class is called Wheel Standing Mega Trucks. 🤣
You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel.lol
Imagine all that time, money, work, prep and anticipation and you hit the gas pedal at the moment of truth only to have something blow out before it even moved half a foot.
My neighbor used to do this and it was expensive as hell.
They say the cost of pulling hasn’t changed in a 100 years, “It takes everything you got.”

These Sled operators need helmets just like the drivers, in my opinion
Some of those drivers weren’t wearing helmets.
Stupid question, but why do some of the diesel Deere tractors sound different?
Which one? 10:19 Is a JD Light Limited Super Stock on alcohol. 11:06 is a JD Light Pro Stock on diesel. 11:50 is a JD Pro Farm on diesel. John Deere blocks had always produced a different note. You could look to the John Deere 4020 as the need to shift gears without pause, slow down, or depressing a clutch. The other note is there are a lot of parts aftermarket to increase the performance of these machines.
It is odd that the tractors/trucks etc. do not carry on board fire extinguishers, why?
all show and no go!
These guys have way too much extra money to blow lol
Where are these safety guys with the fire extinguishers! Chop chop!
My neighbor on the GREEN BLOOD DEERE😬 that got a lil spicy!!!!
Yeah rough ride for sure. It sounded mean!
@@WWPTV them boys have had a hard time learning how to drive that thing and they had to basically rebuild the top end when they got it, they’re doing pretty good now I’m hoping to see em in Louisville one day 💪
i see some of these blown v8 pull, and when somethiing goes wrong, it shoots some kind of air? fuel? out of the blower, what is it, and why?
Alcohol/Methanol. So the three things any engine needs is air, fuel, and spark. The primary fuel is racing fuel on most trucks. On diesel vehicles it’s diesel of course. But there is also biodiesel. There is alcohol in Light Limited Super Stock. On the blown engines when paired with higher compression and/or higher boost, more enrichment of alcohol fuels can retard detonation or overheating. This can result in more power. However, the extra fuel from a rich mixture of methanol, ethanol, or gasoline does not directly contribute to power. Extra fuel from enrichment does not burn. Instead, it goes out the exhaust as wasted fuel. Increased enrichment of methanol or ethanol fuels dramatically reduces combustion chamber temperatures. Gasoline is run a bit rich as well for off idle throttle response. However, gasoline is limited in the amount of enrichment since extra fuel will fowl out the spark plugs. Hope this helps.
9:08 didn't read the John Deere recall notice.
Why do they seem to go further faster when they blow up? 🤔
I have heard it said, the last 5 feet are the ones that get you! But think about it this way, the sled will expose any weakness your vehicle will have. The weakness is there, and you want it exposed sooner rather than later. Or maybe you don't.
One puller must have been 5 years ago had a whistle during his runs and he was winning or number 2 just about every hook. And everybody was like, leave it alone, it's fine. Well he got into it and found it out and in the middle of the season. He could have kicked the can down the road a stretch until it really exposed itself. It cost him points that year, but he did find the weakness.
So there are always a few ways to look at it.
Give her the beans a wise man once said😂😂😂😂😂😂
What happened at 7:30? The guy looked like he was just done by the time the truck coasted to a stop.
He was fighting this truck toward the end of the year. He did that at the end of the season as well. Its firing on all cylinders now.
Anyone by chance know who has the Black “Pain In The Ass” truck? Would love to see more of it.
Toby Sprouse. It is a Small Block 4x4. Check out that playlist on WWPTV
When does the 2022 season start cause making those old trucks into pullers is cool can you get inside shots cause I wonder what kind of gages they have also maybe in a few more years we might see the first EV converted trucks for pulling so that we might have less fires and leaks.
Can you show us the new 2022 "." And "," models?
when ev's start running these, there is still going to be carnage. to push electric motors like this will create alot of heat in the motor and especially the batteries. discharging the energy required will require alot of engineering to make it work without turning a truck into a fireball. and how exciting is a near quiet truck pulling a sled
"Playing with fire" pulling team LOL
I’d watch the probable carnage, if anything just to see an EV go critical - with the driver being safe, OBVIOUSLY.
But... But loud diesel noises!!! Rods sent to orbit! Engine blocks on drivers laps! All the fun stuff!!!
4.40. Helmet falls off in very minor shunt.
Looks like ya done thrown a rod or somethin'
Круто!
That dummy forgot to tighten up the bolts. Heck he forgot to bolt down the motor.
@9:05 ... what the fuck was that?? The fucking tractor threw up its engine like it was on its 9th shot of 151 going for 10.
So the frame broke. This chassis was roughly 15 years old and had been rebuilt several times over. A lot of times rules changes happen and things need to be modified. Well, they have rules that state, "frame rails must be covered" making is hard to visible inspect rails. This was a freak accident and the driver was fine.
What's wrong with these guys that hookup lifted 4 wheel drive rigs to the sled. The whole point of the 4 wheel drive working is to have all 4 wheels on the ground, that's how the front wheels will help, they're not doing any good up in the air and when the truck is lifted then the tow hook will pull the back end down there for the front will go up and defeating the purpose of the 4 wheel drive.
9:00 just broke the frame in half?!
Just seen pictures of the frame is now rebuilt. They actually upgraded tow of their frames this offseason.
@@WWPTV looks like the engine was alright though it was still running when it broke

Thanks AP! We appreciate you. Glad someone notices the effort we put into these.
Would anyone watch this if these contraptions didn't come apart so beautifully? Just asking...
What kind of Transmissions do they have
Rebuilt. And Rebuilt again.
4:30 you know your trying to pull with a ford when the sled tries to pass you. Lol
How much do these trucks carry before they blow
Rolling weight varies class to class. A typical sled setting would be 44,000 of rolling weight that is converted to drag weight near double that by the 200-250 foot mark. The sled operator can change weight, how fast the weight moves up the rails and where it starts on the rails. They have options to stop any pulling class.
@@WWPTV wow that’s really cool

Hahaha. Yeah. Not good when that shows up. But sometimes they pull the sled too.
That mud truck looks like it could use just a touch of nose weight
We get that a lot. It is a fine line and these guys do it so well.

They didn't let the glue dry on the John Deere at 9:00.
Some of these pa guys 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Literally what are these fire extinguisher guys doing with these stupid tiny off-the-shelf fire extinguishers? And they take 39 minutes to walk out to the car slowly, uncap the extinguisher and spray some tiny stream on to the engine?
call greta tunburg you're polluted my dreams
😆😆😆👍
How dare you
8:49 Did he forget to bolt the engine down???
The frame split. The engine bolt guidelines are bolstered for 2022 even with recent happens that took place in 2022. The frame on this John Deere was 15-20 year old frame. It has pulled about 50-60 times a year over that period. It was just tired.
@@WWPTV Thanks for the explanation. Seeing as how everything depends on the frame, when it fails, EVERYTHING does!
@4:40 helmets work better when they're strapped on, chief.
4:30, the guy had a helmet and then its gone
Heard a comment by a tech official over the weekend “We need to come down harder on helmet straps!” It is a problem.
