The Truck Tug of War competition at Rednecks with Paychecks always results in some lively competitions! The Fall Mud Crawl had a couple of Unlimited contenders, but the 2.5 and 5 ton classes were where the main competition occurred...with a couple of the tugs being extremely well matched!

The tow rope should always be level to be fair.
If the rope is angled, whoever’s hitch is mounted higher will have the advantage in traction.
Why is a high hitch an advantage, can you please explain... I can see what you're saying is correct based on the results in the video but I'm not understanding why exactly is it an advantage?
If the rope is angled the truck with the higher mounting bracket will have the advantage, because as the trucks begin to pull, the higher tow rope will cause the rear-end of the opposing truck to lift up, causing it to loose grip unfairly.
@@danielkwan3771 also the lower truck will pull down the higher truck's rear, which will make the higher truck's back tires grip a lot better, so it's unfair on 2 levels lol

They make some wide ass agricultural tires but I don't think you'll find a tall enough slick for those trucks

SUPERCHARGEDF1 A lot of it is timing, once you see the guy start hopping you pretty much got him. Keeping the torque on the ground is what wins.

Во втором бою непрпвильно лямку зацепили т.к. она должна цепляться точно по горизантали. Потому, что грузовик в бою будет поднимать и не давать задним колёсам хорошее сцепление, а пикап наоборот прижимает к земле.

i guess the secret to the flatbed is its singular frame and not much suspension travel to loose traction from bouncing. i wonder if the contestents ever use intelligent traction control systems which are mapped for this. coal train doesnt slip if you watch. the gy in the white truck is watching his tires for optimal torque with his foot

I was thinking the same thing. The ford had the advantage because the more he pulls the more weight he puts over them tires. The more the peterbuilt pulled the less weight he had over his tires

why are they even entering the competition using tractor tires on the road? a stock regular diesel truck with regular street tires would beat those giant tractor tires. the flatbead truck is a great example. engine is probably the smallest in the competition but the tires are just regular street tires. But if they were in the dirt then it would be a whole different story
