    As an African American female swim coach your tips are on point.....please may I add this tip......regular homemade mayonnaise made from olive oil and eyes.....it works and you will not believe how soft your hard will be!!!!! Tweak the basic olive oil and eggs equals mayonnaise recipe and you will be amazed the thicker the better with no fly aways.....you'll see. Vitamin E in non-sunny environments ......works well at night

      You are a wonderful and graceful human being..... I need your prayers because I am one of the original coaches of the DC Black History Swim Meet ...now in it's 30+ year.....but we never got our due recognition and I live in a house that has Mother Harriet's passage.....I am fighting to keep it to give e it backwards and Mother Harriet's family. It's too big and I am 60 years old. You young people inspire me not to give up.....Ask Jim Ellis of the movie PRIDE and he will tell you
      I am real.....I am not took proud to ask his swimmer Kevin Hart for help......yes Kevin Hart the comedian swam for Coach Ellis and when Hollywood wanted to do a movie in us we said No!!!! Because it was Coach Ellis who was our inspiration.....peace and please pray for me!!!!

      Lol... well, if you need too..lol. But YES, try this method. I swim every day and it works. My hair h=got damaged at first when I just used one swim cap because water was still getting in. When I tried this method that I showed you, My hair is now recovering very well. You can even look at my natural hair update videos where I show before and after. This method works for me. Natural/relaxed hair swimming videos 😍😍😍 Love it!!! I love swimming and actually relaxed my natural hair because of my frequent water activities. I will big chop again and have a twa before I stop swimming, I love it that much. But I decided to make a better effort to protect my hair since one swim cap isn't working.

    Thank you so much for your knowledge. Ever since I damaged my hair by bleaching it wrong. I’ve been following the advice of my black friends and I use the products marketed for “black people” my whole life I’ve been doing my hair wrong. I’ve learned so much that my hair now does have natural curls when it use to be waves/straight and oily. It’s been a complete game changer for me. Today is the first time I used a swim cap in my life and I was like why is my hair wet! I thought it was going to be dry and beautiful like in the movies where I just shake out my curls and can be glamorous like old Hollywood. All the girls in the locker room told me it doesn’t keep it dry. So I’m like what’s the point. Now thanks to you I know better. I appreciate it completely. 🙌🏻💖🙌🏻 thank you for saving my hair. And me from having wet hair on a 27f• day in NYC in the future 🥶

    I also heard that wetting your hair and putting conditioner on it serve as protective layers. If your hair is saturated with water already, the strands are full and will be less likely to take on more water. Once you have water in your hair, you can put conditioner over the top to help seal in the water that's already there, to try to prevent more water from getting in. There are oils, obviously, in conditioner and oil and water don't mix. And then that silky cap will do you well to put over the top of all of that, as you do already, because slippery hair will make your swim cap slide off.

    • @kharyzma4u
      @kharyzma4u  Рік тому +3

      Hi. Yes, I've heard about that and I'm sure that method is good, however I swim daily and I'm trying to avoid getting my hair wet daily. I think that method is better for people on vacation or those who don't swim frequently who don't mind wetting their hair. Thanks for watching 💕

      @serenaforward-rodriguez2701 Рік тому +1

      @@kharyzma4u I respect that. I also don't like to get my hair wet everyday, so track the potential problems with that. Just thought I'd share. The person I heard it from is a professional swimmer who does swim nearly daily. However, of course, everyone's personal solutions vary. 😊

    • @kharyzma4u

      Hi. Thanks for asking. There is pressure from the layers, but I'm used to it by now, plus I'm not swimming more than 45 min to 1 hr, so I'd rather do this than expose my hair to Chlorine. Please check my videos. I did an updated video and show more and go more in depth. Here's the link

    Here because I’m seeing clumps of hair in my brush when brushing. I didn’t have the issue before, but a beautician told me to use Paul Mitchel Shampoo 2. I know for sure I’m Going back to using the Redken Mega Shampoo, then the Curlsmith cow ash, followed by the Redken Mega Conditioner and I and no issues! I got to the pool 3-4x a week so I need something!

    Good morning, I am a new swimmer and I have a question regarding the swimming cap with ears that you wear. I ordered it, and the hair sock (the sock had not come in yet). My question is: it dies not appear that by the time I get everything on, that the cap with ears will not fit. Does it come in sizes? What Suze do you have? I have a small head, and I braid my natural hair before I put everything on. Thank you. Cheryl Oldham.

    • @kharyzma4u
      @kharyzma4u  4 місяці тому +1

      Hi. How are you? THANK YOU for your purchase! I do see your order now. There was only one size that I purchased. I didn't see different sizes. You will need to try it for yourself and see because no two people are alike. I showed and explained everything in the video. I also will link a playlist and a shorter video that explains my process. 💗ua-cam.com/video/Diib9kZe1l8/v-deo.htmlsi=Y6I4hI4fDDyfp4Q9 (shorter video)

      Everything is in the videos. Please keep in mind that no two people are alike and you will need to experiment to see what works for you. I am sharing what works for me.
      Let me know when you actually try it and what happens, and we'll go from there 💕

      Hi, thank you for responding. I actually can't try the total set-up because I am still waiting for the hair sock to come in from Etsy. Your video was very clear to me. Today, when I swam, since I do not have the hair sock yet, I just put on the swim cap with the ears. I am just thinking that by the time I put everything else on, the cap withears will not fit. That is why I asked if the cap came in sizes.
