If you do a bench variation, hit it hard and push yourself, it will carry over to your competition bench. It is still a chest press. Even pushups, overhead presses and dips will help your bench. Specificity works, but switching variations is more sustainable and fun.
I have this problem only if I'm regularly training shoulders and they're under-recovered. It's as if while I should be resting, I'm actually stretching or restricting blood flow from my shoulders.
@@yanwain9454 maybe a sign of a training related problem/injury? I doubt that the sleeping on it's own would be the cause, but it may be impeding the rest and recovery your shoulder needs
Dave would you do a video outlining a basic weekly routine on strength gaining? I’ve always trained bodybuilding style but I want to increase my main lifts.
Excellent content. I workout alone 95% of the time. Good advice for creating intensity. 🔥
🙌
Yep. Instinctive training is what this 64 yr. finds to be the best to avoid injury and maximize gains.
Damn, that "off the team" really hit the nail on the head

What do you think of speed work at 30-40% to build explosiveness?
I feel recovery would be even better especially for non strength athletes.
30-40% builds explosive strength, spot on. Don’t spend all of your time there. Move to 50-60% for speed strength
I believe Matt Wenning is a fan of this lower end range
@@orosebud eh, I’ve only ever gotten weaker using the 30-40%
This is a great resource!

Westside rocks!
my shoulder hurts if i sleep with my arm under the pillow. anybody else got this problem?

@@trainmoveimprove it does feel sort of like an impingement or something

My shoulder hurts me constantly until I started taking small amounts of HGH. 2.5 iu in the morning, boom no more problems
@@mikebb1000 that's interesting. is that something that hgh users commonly report?

He's done like 20 vids on this man. Have a look around in
