    Thanks for clarifying the difference between HR and ER. Can you also explain Talent Acquisition and Recruiting? Sometimes, I see those used interchangeably or recruiting is under TA.

    How did you get into HR? I was considering getting into HR after being asked to resigned due to a situation being flipped around on me 😢 I would be about change. Not CUT and DRY 👌🏽

I’ve been trying to get into Hr positions and that’s the reason I started following you, then fell in love with your content that it didn’t matter that you didn’t give tips to get into hr but I really appreciate you trying to talk about it again thank you so much.     I’m glad that you shared your experience with imposter syndrome. I’ve been there. Also, I love all the videos sharing what it’s like working in corporate HR. I’m trying to break into the HR field.

      Imposter syndrome gets the best of all of us, unfortunately. We just have to learn to work through it! And keep applying. You'll definitely get your shot!

    Cece question do you see any disparities in the way minority employees are treated compared to the majority? I’ve notice disparities in my organization regarding raises and tolerance. It’s always hard to determines because you don’t always know 100% what’s going on in terms of performance, disciplinary action, conversations, tardiness etc. Just curious 👀 . Shout out to DoorDash for being so involved as I feel the organization I work for is a ghost. I emailed HR twice. 1. they immediately notified my manager who followed up. 2. They never responded to this day. Several colleagues have left and didn’t even get an exit interview.

      I have not seen that firsthand, but I've heard stories. I've never been at an organization where there are disparities (that I know of) in pay or tolerance. Pay is pretty black and white. Tolerance...I think that depends on the individual people leaders. Unless there is some underlying discriminatory scheme of the whole company, people leaders can absolutely be biased in their approach and application of practices. The problem I see with most people on the receiving end, is that there is no proof. Then, when I go to investigate, I get lumped in the fold of "not caring about the employees, and only the company", because there is no proof or evidence in these claims.
      I also think claims of discrimination and harassment get watered down sometimes because employees think EVERYTHING is harassment and discrimination and don't really understand the meaning of those terms.
      It's really sad when employees aren't able to get an answer from HR at all. I have been lucky to be a part of organizations that do a great job making sure the employee voices are heard.

    Ps that foundation looks amazing on you! You skin look amazing to. I’ve never tried a Fenty foundation. I did pick up their new concealer! It’s nice. I see they have a tinted moisturizer with SPF

    I appreciate your talk about HR as a function. I think the commentary about HR comes about because somewhere along the line HR portrayed themselves as friendly/your friend. That led ppl to place the wrong expectations on that department. No one ever had that expectation of Finance. Lol.
    But I totally agree with you. We are all functions of the company in transactional relationships. Great video.

      And the supervisors carry that same scandalous trait 😁 My former supervisor did me like that... Acted friendly and personable all the while she was a snake and it's you before her!!! She doesn't even know what she's doing the dispatcher make all the decisions and she allows it.. they're paying her to be the face of the terminal cause little due they know she doesn't know what she's doing 😲😳😭
