7th Prince isn't an Isekai.
It's not even in a different country.
The dude revives basically a few miles away from where he dies.
So he's a Perpetual from Warhammer 40k?
@@AngryHomunculus I believe you overestimate the average person’s knowledge of Warhammer 40k 🤣.
From what I can gather from the Warhammer wiki, Perpetuals seem to basically have the same powers as Deadpool. So the answer is probably no.
The dude reincarnated; he didn’t heal himself back up from a drop of blood or anything like that.
One moment he was burned to a crisp, and the next he was a baby in the royal palace.
yes but the point is that he died and then came back, gifted with some great power.
Honestly, that ain't gonna make any narative difference. He could be a highschool chemist teacher ended up as thick tight sixth grader femboy.
@@karl.d3993
Yes, that's a Tensei(reincarnation) normal setup.
Isekai(Otherworld) is normally for when people travel to otherworlds.
"The writing for Girls Band Cry was Amazing. It's what I wanted Jellyfish to be."
"For Jellyfish I think A Place Further than the Universe set the bar too high."
The secret? The writer of GBC is also the writer of Further than the Universe. Juuki Hanada is the GOAT.
Yeah, he figured that out in the full stream
THAT explains ALOT
I dont get girls band cry, its just the character damn stupid
He's not wrong about it having a bit of idol show feel to it, which I'd attribute to the fact that it's a multimedia project that exists in part to promote the real-life band of Togenashi Togeari. But since the writing is peak and the music is fire it works anyway.
I might have given it a try, but AFAIK, there's no Western streaming for it?

@@em_monarch thx I'm adding them as i watch the video
I'd recommend every Mushoku Tensei anime only viewer to watch the AniNews Cut Content videos to see what they left out of the light novel, because a lot of nuance got lost in the adaptation.
Edit: Some people in the comments also recommend Otaku Spirit. Watched some of his videos and they're definitely more in depth and very good, so please check him out aswell!
Yeah, episode 11 was trash to me, but hearing the LN went deeper into it made it a tiny bit better for me. I wish that area of time got an extra episode as it felt really rushed for a pretty big thing.
i recommend "otaku spirit" for those that want a longer version, cool guy
I will never forgive the anime and the manga for ruining the Sauros reveal. In the LN you find out when Eris does and it hits so much harder
I recommend every Mushoku Tensei fan to turn themselves in
i read the novel and ive never been so satisfied by an ending. Went through the full loop of finishing the manga, then the LN, then the novel. Shame so much is missing from the anime, regardless how good the anime is
For Go Go Loser Ranger, the whole cadet arc wasnt really just to make you care about those characters, it was to show how the main character was starting to care about them. His entire goal swapped from "kill all the rangers in any way possible" to having enough respect for humans that he wants to have a fair fight with each ranger, which is why he was so annoyed at how his big fight ended.
Yup it was to showcase the moments he started to change. Without that the whole aftermath of that arc into the big boss one would have been weird and confusing. it also didn't feel like anything could be cut either.
Yeah, it was good characterization for D. Also, the boys but for power rangers is not exactly accurate, bc while it's a tokusatsu deconstruction, it's also a massive love letter to the series. There's so many series that take a spin on a genre but hold such contempt for the material they're working off of.
I feel like it was also to show [SPOILERS] that even though he's a monster, he is no longer necessarily on the monsters' side. It went from him siding with all monsters, to him really just siding with himself and some humans, as evident by him trying to kill Petrola, and him being upset when the girl fighter (forgot her name) sided with the boss monster because they wanted to kill all humans.
Yeah but that shit dragged way too long and it went shit afterthat
Definitely was a High potential show but endedup mid
Yeah. It also naturally ties into the Boss battle in the season finale. I don't really agree with Ganrt's take on this.
23:47 Garnt only watched 8 eps of Dungeon Meshi? Oh just wait....
The good part is coming
Fire show
He only watched 2 episodes of Chillin' in another world as well. Honestly, if I only saw 2 episodes of a show, I wouldn't rate it because I'd feel that I don't know enough about it to properly judge it. It's equally annoying when people only watch 1 episodes of a show and then rate it 10/10 on CR or MAL...
Is it actually worth it? I tried to watch it a while ago but couldn't get passed the first episode@@MinscS2
Lol I paused immediately to check comments for Dungeon Meshi and now I dont even want to watch the video knowing this. Bro is moments away from peak
Idk how gigguk doesn’t love windbreaker cause the whole point is “what if the shounen battle boy was a tsundere”
Pretty sure his main issue is just the story/premise just doesn't jive with him.
@@collecter343 And the whole thing about every character needing a silly quirk gets really annoying after a while. And the tone is basically a Delinquent Slice of Life anime which IMO doesn't really work.
@@areebsiddiqui758 Where are the teachers? Might as well be a yakuza show
Wind breaker was sm fun to watch 😮
The one blond haired kid was too annoying. Overall just mid AF
what i found funny about the Mushoku Tensei discourse of episode 11 was the fact that people were madder at Rudy for cheating on his wife than the fact that Roxy took advantage of an emotionally distraught teenager to get laid
Doesn't surprise me at all. 99,9% of all MT-hate/criticism from random dweebs on facebook and twitter boils down to "Rudy is a p3d0". Thats literally the *only* bad thing they can come up with regarding show, which in my book just shows how god damn good of a story MT is, because they got nothing else bad to say about it.
I knew the instant Ep11 hit that Rudy would get blamed in the end by these "people": "Rudy is depressed and basically comitting slow suicide, and Roxy takes advantage of him? DAMN U RUDY!" ... sigh.
Nah mushoku, story wise, is probably in my top 3 worse anime of all time. shit's ass
Yup, they just ignore it even when Roxy herself says she took advantage of him
@@MinscS2it's even funnier because Sylphie was fine with Rudeus bringing other women home, she told him as much too
But I guess they just want to hate just because
@@MinscS2 yea people are all like "how you can watch this show? Rudy is a P3do and the in the source material everyone is freaky sex weirdos! " And when i hear that I'm just like that just sounds like berserk to me and most people love Berserk and, in the anime, they toned it down a lot from the source so for me MT is just less fucked up Berserk plus MT is about Rudy is living a better life than his shit past
Episode 11 of Mushoku Tensei is a lot about how Rudy has spent most of his life thinking he'd make better decisions than his father and looking down on him because of that, and then figuring out it isn't quite as simple as he thought and he just might be a chip off the old block.
I like how Paul totally sussed him out before with his whole "if you have 2 swords maybe you just like both equally" talk. He knows his boy.
I see people everywhere trying way too hard to rationalize the end of season 2.
The answer is simple and confirmed by the author: it's just not very good and quite forced writing. People just need to use anime logic for this part.
Well said. I just wish that he was capable of doing the things his father can't
@@RMMinc It might not be very good, and fairly forced, but that doesn't mean there is no reasoning for it.
I can think of at least one way to do it better, but I think enough of a foundation had been made to say that what happened was *a little possible*.
I guess what I'm getting at is, I believe it could have been MUCH worse.
it's true, it was because of this mistake that Rudeus recognized Paul as his father, calling him by that name instead of his name for the first time in the scene before the grave
Lol, the fact that Jobless Reincarnation did that Father's day episode if fucking DIABOLICAL 😮
This is in defense of Lv2 Cheat Isekai. Since he only watch the first 2 episodes I do understand where he is coming from, because when I watch them as well it just reeks of overlooked/disrespected hero who is actually the strongest. He beats bad guys, and gets girls. Is your standard harem isekai.
The thing is in episode 3, little by little, it becomes something else.
This is not a groundbreaking isekai or peak isekai like Re:Zero, Jobless reincarnation or 12 Kingdoms, but it is a calm show where a lot of discussion of the conflict and lore of the story happens.
It still has the standard animation for an okay Isekai and their character designs are not that incredibly unique but it's how the characters are handled and what they talk about that makes this story, a nice story to relax and hear what they talk about.
It's actually kind of funny. I was watching Re:Monster and Lv 2 cheat at the same time. RM’s animation and pacing was nothing to write home about but it did have quite the curious development, in the first 2 episodes were handled really well and I was kind of interested, and I thought it might even become a niche hit.
Its funny because RM becomes what I thought Lv2 cheat was going to be about. It becomes a low ranking hero that becomes super strong that beats everyone in his way and gets girls. Your standard harem isekai. Now harem is not necessarily bad but it's mostly used for cheap romance arcs in most stories.
Lv2 Isekai actually stays away from the harem bait that dangle over your nose, and little by little it becomes a good standard anime romance story. Not only that there are arguments and discussions over the war of the humans vs the demons.
These discussions are talk about by many characters, not just the MC, and we see the arguments for both sides of the war. What I like is just that the MC does not solve this issue over 1 episode.
Its a topic where more and more perspectives and details of this conflict that has happened for centuries is discussed through many episodes.
Also the MC desires equality because he does not come from Japan but another fantasy world where demi humans are seen as servants to humans. When is teleported to this new world he sees demi humans and humans are united but there is a war against the demons.
The MC feels conflicted because he so powerful that he can tip the scales over one side, and he does not feel he has the right to decide who should lose. Even if he is human he marries a demon. They even have a discussion over their marriage and how their children may fare in this world where humans and demons hate each other.
What I like of this anime is not just Demons=evil, but also not Humans=evil. Both parties are responsible for the war.
Its not too incredibly deep but at the same time it's not too surface level. Its a nice simple romance with discussion about the conflicts between two races.
Its slow getting there but each episode little bit by bit expands on that topic.
I think that pace and the first two episodes may make many judge it as an anime as your regular harem isekai anime.
Lvl 2 cheat is just another subgenre of isekai. The closest anime I can compare it to is "I've been killing slimes for 300 years", but this time it's also about romantic feelings and honest work (The knight girls find the place where they don't have to hustle their way through every day, and switch to a kind of work they actually enjoy). Kind of a "Fantasy Iyashikei".
Thanks for contributing to the discourse. At this point, gigguk's seasonal reviews have less value than their comment sections
Bro write a whole essay to defend mid shit 😅
@@thaihungphan7255 I won't lie and say it's stellar, but it's not as bad as it's consider.

There are two words in the title and you spelled two of them wrong…
I think the main appeal of 7th prince is how Lloyd picks apart and takes advantage of the world's various magic system like TASer picks apart a game to create the ultimate theoretical speedrun. The protagonist just speaks to nerds.
Also helps to be able to ignore the weird character design...
Peak Band Cry at S tier was well deserved, If bocchi made me try the guitar for the first time, GBC solidified that Will
10/10 would raise my pinky
Even though many people, including myself, aren't the biggest fan of 3D animation, this show absolutely slapped
I really liked the animation and cinematography of the anime. I went in thinking it’s just another band anime but I was pleasantly surprised.
@@ZackPlays016 it single-handedly changed my opinion on 3d anime
I am shocked that Garnt didn’t know Mushoku Tensei went the harem route. With all the spoilers on the net about it, I thought for sure he would’ve known. Lol
I'm not even the biggest fan of it and knows it lol
There's a lot of meme going on and I can already guess it.
I already watch S1, S2 is not but I got a lot of spoilers from UA-cam recommendation lol
But yeah surprised he doesn't know cause it's talked alot in internet.
I kind of hate the series, and that was one of the first things I had to look up. What I discovered makes me believe any hate is justified.
yeah and the fact that Rudy was already being unfaithful to Eris by getting with sylphy. he just doesn't know it yet.. lol
@@LeonRivia Yep yep.... tho in this case he was raped more or less.
@@bonfist7277 Of course it is justified to hate these actions, it is designed to be hated and booed at. Everyone knows that Mushoku is the best at being controversial, and to be freely criticized, that's what true fans do, put their moral standing and being critical is the only way to enjoy the show. Now, it's fine if you hate it, being critical is not something everyone can do, but accusing or flaming the author or the people who follow it is just wrong, not that I could do it because unfortunately, I have a brain. The thing with all these "haters" is that they go beyond haters, they become actual garbage human beings.
he clearly didn’t watch episode 10-12 of 7th prince 😭
Yep. He did watch a lot of trash tho.
Yeah such a shame. The show doesn't really hit its emotional stride until the last arc of the season. Jade is HIM in much the same way Himmel is HIM.
Nah, still edgy af though
The whole show is so good, but the last arc was really something special. Hopefully he gives it another chance.
I think Garnt said he only watched the first half, so he didn’t even start the Assassin arc. Which really sucks, because that’s where the anime gets really good; so I feel like he sells it short, especially ranking it the same as Slime season 3 which was a lot more boring for a good portion of the season.
I honestly wanna hear Garnt's opinion of mushoku tensei after he sees the final episode
I thought it was addressed really well and in the same way mushoku tensei would.
@@antonyjames4698 Nice spoilers, also the manga isn't that far yet, it's still in the Labyrinth arc so the anime is further ahead
Also also, IIRC only the Web Novel finished the story
i imagine it didnt change. his siter got a lil upset and than forcibly conceded like a minute later to rudys wrongdoing. It painted his misconduct in a weirdly promotional way.
@@Big_show_guy How is it promotional??? It's pretty much "I didn't hold it against you when you did your best to help the situation, but to do this?!?", it's actively judging him.
@@LilPale how? It’s the fact that the only pushback rudy received is just used as a tool to be debunked as a wrong perspective by the story by having the character who provided the opposing perspective concede to the other outlook, That how. It wasn’t enough for Rudy to cheat and get rewarded with another wife, they had to clarify why an opposing perspective to the situation is wrong.

the only crime was him not keeping up with dungeon meshi. He definitely would've put it top S tier if he did.
This also is just my opinion but i really liked windbreakers. i feel like he would've given it a better score if he saw all the episodes cause it only got better after the main plot of the season ended (the battle against the other "gang") it introduced more characters, you got to meet the rest of the bofurin members and i liked the setup for the next season. im hyped for season 2 if it gets made.
also how could you not like gojo... i mean Hajime Umemiya
Thats really true, I am a huge fantasy fan and I got bored after the Undine fight. It felt like it was gonna be monster (food) of the week with a goal in mind, that was becoming less and less important. I stopped watching for 2 months and after running out of stuff to watch, I gave it another chance. What becomes after dragon fight though.... Incredible, just peak. The picture episode and that episode were great.
Slime Season 3 is dialogue haters' strongest fighter
The second half should satisfy that action scenes itch of people. And I hope they're saving the budget for it. As someone who read both the WN and LN, I have to agree with Garnt. However, it's not C Tier for me probably around B instead. What is disappointing is that the Labyrinth building was downplayed in the anime, almost like an everyday occurrence...
The problem with Slime is that they really make the long and drawn-out dialogue exchanges completely uninteresting.
I'm saying this as someone who enjoys laid-back anime that mostly consists of dialogue, like Monogatari.
I joked with my friend that the production team they chose this season is the Genshin Impact Production Team.
@@analoque2412 it gets even worse because eventually they make everything else in Slime uninteresting. it starts to focus much harder on Rimuru gaining more and more op powers and less on everything else.
@@analoque2412 Muzan and Ubuyashiki’s conversation was better than the entire Slime S3. And Demon Slayer doesn’t even have good dialogues
How do you make a pretty interesting world so fucking boring.
Man they did the anime dirty when they put out episode 11 of mushoku tensei. So much cut content and explanation.
There's only so much you can do with a limited budget and time constraints, but yeah, a short black screen telling you how much time has elapsed would have helped a lot. :D
Yeah, the skipped content was a miss direction for me. they go on about their long held motives not the major, in the moment motives for their action. (sorry tring to be none spoiler but also concise). The conversation between Roxy and Elisa before Roxy does anything with Rudy is important.
@@pomp_it4304 At the very least they could've skipped the ED. That's about 1 min and 30 secs that could've been spent on setting up the spicy encounter. A dialogue-less montage is unideal but given the amount to cover is probably the best they could've done while keeping the episode count and runtime. It would at least sell the passage of time and the dillemma of those around Rudy.
Maybe it could've been better with an additional episode added to the count but that now has the problem of re-pacing episode 23-24 with at most 5-6 minutes of the Bar Scene and maybe a the 1:30 Rudy depressed montage. Unfortunately that's about 10+ minutes they have to account for now. If the show wasnt on regular broadcast and was instead fully streaming maybe we could've had longer episode run times but it isn't so we're stuck there.
Gigguk recognizes Girls Band Peak
I'll be brutally honest, I don't think it's fair to rate a show if you (the royal "you", not just Garnt in particular) have only watched 1-2 episodes of it. It's fair to go "nah this probably isn't my cup of tea" after an episode and drop it, but don't actually rate it; you don't know enough about the story and characters to properly deduce if the anime is actually good or not.
I have the exact same issues with people who only watch 1 episode of a show and then proceeds to give the entire show a 5/5 on CR or 10/10 on MAL...
While I mostly agree, he watched almost all these anime till the end. Except Dungeon, to which he is not caught up, and 7th prince, which he dropped after half a season.
@@ryanergo754 He dropped Chillin' in Another World after 2 episodes as well, and then proceeded to put it in D-tier...
That anime had basically not even started by that point.
I don't know about CR, but MAL doesn't count ratings unless it's at least 3/12 episodes for 1 cour series.

As a novel reader of "Mushoku Tensei" when the novel was still ongoing there was a nice bit of cut content during season 2 part 2 so there are scenes that were not conveyed very well in the anime but it's understandable because a "Animation Studio" can only do so much, I am enjoying the anime adaptation so far but some of the content that the animation studio is not covering in the anime adaptation kind of hurts though.
Yatagarasu was robbed, seriously one of the best fantasy dramas ive seen. First episode was a slow start but second episode on it's really good.

Some people might not like it, but I enjoy every episode that came out, glad I decided to binge watched it lol

Konosuba S3 was a lot of fun, I laughed out loud many times throughout and the way they set up larger gags was a blast.
there was too much cut content from the LN in mushoku tensei in the buildup to episode 11, it completely changes how you perceive what happened and they cut out some of my favourite parts of that arc
Ok, so, as an isekai trash man, I generally disagree with garnt’s opinion on slime and 7th prince. Not because he is wrong, but because I think the second part of the slime season, for some reason, just suddenly got better and now I think it’s worth it in addition to entering one of the best arcs. As for 7th prince, the reason people hype it is because it the the manga with some of the most monstrous art I’ve seen, and if you ignore first appearance it’s really fun.
The random full color rainbow blast to the eyes while reading makes my neurons go brrrrr.

I knew nothing about it before nor instantly started watching, but I after hearing many good things about it from some respectable people then I watched. I am so glad to do it. I like the concept, characters, animation, even OP & ED were great. I was surprised to see how well prepared this show. After the season finale, I ended up reading the manga and OMG the manga is amazing. Things only shown slightly at the beginning of the story. The plot reached a point I never guessed. Now that season 2 is confirmed, I highly recommend everyone to follow this either as manga or wait for the anime.
I don't know, Sentai Daishikkaku has been the main disappointment of the season for me. The exam part is a massive waste of time. The plot picks up a bit at the end, but the anime still peaked at episode 3. Maybe I'll give season 2 a go, but season 1 gets a low low score of 5/10 for me.
@@Miraihi It was the weakest arc in the manga too, and even more dragged out. However, every arc after it are much better. It'll only get better from here on.
@@aohige Good to know. As a huge fan of The Boys I actually really want this title to be good.
The whole idea of Bartender is you can make something mediocre amazing with the little details. There are HUNDREDS of whiskies you could use and dozens of different sodas you could mix with it. The Fever tree brand comes to mind; they make like a dozen different fizzy drinks you could add to this. You could make a hundred different highballs.
Bruh, L take on 7th Prince 😂 that show was TUFF 😤😤😤 bruh the action is ridiculously cleanly animated and, if you’re a power fantasy lover, it’s perfect cus both friends and enemies begin to fear the MC over time. What else do you want? That’s like the formula for one punch man.
THANK YOU FOR DOING A POST SEASON REVIEW
I bet garnts next video is going to be about dungeon meshi..

***LIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD*** Its really sad that they left out so much of what was happening around Mushoku Tensei EP 11. It felt like he was held up in his room for a few days not weeks. They had Roxy be the one starting everything no Rudy. They did not even show why she resorted to that after the many many times trying other options. There was a bit of a hint at how bad Rudy was with his face before it all went down but I feel like people just took it as them showing his depressed state. Nothing excuses what happened but there was a lot more to it then what was showed. ***SPOILER FOR EP 11*** The big push for Rudy wanting to take Roxy as a 2nd wife was brought on by Elinalise telling Rudy that Roxy had missed her time of the month and might be pregnant. I love this series so much even though the way this part is handled in both the show and books left a sour taste in my mouth. Mushoku Tensei is PEAK....also Sylphiette best girl FIGHT ME.
Hearing about mushoku tensei that way and knowing about the novel is AMAZING.
What’s different about the 7th prince is he actually learns and adapts his magic because he’s crazy obsessed with learning rather than trying to get stronger. That’s what kept me on the show and it has a different kind of self awareness than eminence in shadow. I would easily rate it S or A tier
Dude also thought the animation was above average based on the early low budget scenes which is kinda funny. The last couple of eps were phenominal animation wise. One of my top shows this year so far. Note to Self though, I gotta watch Eminence in Shadow.
Dude that character design will turn most people off especially finding out thats its a guy. Anime is getting weirder and weirder just like the rest of the world
I respect your opinion, but I don't see it. I don't actually think I care about any of that, because at its core, it's the same as most generic isekai anime. He was reborn with OP powers that were not deserved, and now his only character trait is that he loves magic. It doesn't have self-awareness to me. If it did, it would be so much more different and they wouldn't even dare try to make the anime they did. To me, this is an easy D (If not F) tier.
The thing that made eminence in shadow such a refreshing watch is that it isn’t serious at all it is a comedy show which made it stood out among thousands of boring ass shit. 7th prince is just another generic power fantasy tho
@@kiiseanrobinson5084 It's a fun show with good comedy and pacing, doesn't matter if it's generic. If you want to see what an actual D or F tier isekai looks like, go watch "Dekisokonai to Yobareta Motoeiyuu wa jikka kara Tsuihou sare node Sukikatte ni Ikiru Koto" That shit will bore you so much you'll want to kill yourself before episode 3.
I've been reading the 7th prince manga, haven't seen any of the anime, but the biggest reason I keep reading is that the artist is cooking out of his mind.
The anime is great. This dude has brainrot.
Yeah the manga is a amazing
Nah the windbreaker one hit hard , I mean yah the characters don’t get good till like after the events of season 1 , but dude , HIT HARD 😭🙌
Bartender is just a story about Pierre from danger 5 after his character retires.
Said it before and said it again, the power fantasy, good as it is, is not the best thing in 7th Prince, it’s the way it frames a boy as all anime frames all girls and letting the viewer stew in their discomfort.
As for the power fantasy, it’s fun to see the power fantasy approached from the nerd pov. He’s not condescending when he meets a new most powerful enemy, he’s super excited that he gets to try a new thing and assumes everybody else will join in his excitement
Jade is the GOAT hands down
Well yeah the feet licking scene is seriously Lore accurate.....if it didn't happen.....the Blue archive would not be the same anymore
maybe it’s a cope but i feel like the mushoku tensei thing kinda works for 2 reasons:
the way it kind of develops his relationship w paul (ofc after he’s dead which is the irony), he realizes that he really is similar to him in a lot of ways (and tbh also brings up some interesting lore-related things. we only ever see things from rudy’s perspective so ofc he still sees himself as his past life self just in a new body, but maybe it’s not so clear-cut. he could be influenced by genetics and brain development in ways he doesn’t see in himself)
also it’s fair i think to point out that infidelity isn’t quite as taboo in that world as it is in ours-not that it makes it more or less morally okay, but just that the ppl around him being more understanding of it makes sense in that world. like they mentioned, only followers of one specific religion are strict about monogamy
bartender was the perfect cozy dinner show
Dude i was literally screaming wtf during episode 11 of jobless. Roxy man i cant ever look at her the same i cant believe she did that and the fact the final episode ended way smoother than i thought I'm just like wow. Sylphiette man she really just accepted it while im here just flabbergasted lmao
Finally someone with some humanity.
No idea what the other comments are saying about this😭
There was too much cut content man
The only reason Rudy even wanted to take Roxy on as a wife was because Elinalise said she was pregnant. Also Roxy knew she was the only one who could get Rudy out of the hole he was in. And the way she saved him went so much more than just them doing it together. She gave him advice on his past life and how he felt about it, and told him to live for those in the present who cared for him. Roxy knew she was going to be the villain and what she was doing would be taking advantage of him. But if it meant saving him from death, she would do anything
The amount of fans who didn't care that he cheated on his pregnant wife after he promised her not to do so makes me think that most people who likes this show have a harem fantasy and would actually do that in real life, these people are just degenerates, the memes where true.
How does one not understand the hype around 7th prince. Lil bro runs around and does everything and anything off of of puire curiosity and nobody can stop him. It gets better the longer it goes on which is even visible in just the 1 season.
regarding mushuko tensei. any change of mind after seeing the last episode? i still think your point stands but i also feel the last ep made a good job on smoothing thinks to what you said.
“HR Isekai” lmao that’s probably the most accurate way to describe it.
7th Prince > "Meeting the Slime" without a doubt (at least in the anime)
Damn who first?
Where is timestamps man
Garnt: I dont get the hype of this show
Looks Inside: Didn't watch the whole show
He did 7th prince dirty. I think especially for it being the first anime from the studio it had some really beautiful fight scenes. Contrary I found the appraisal isekai to be way too bland. Whilst it had a unique premise it failed to do anything really interesting with it. I find it a lot worse for a show to waste its potential than it not having a unique premise.
I would have to agree. I couldn't manage to bring myself back to appraisal each week and have run out of steam half way through. Also if there are people complaining about isekai using RPG stats as shorthand for physical and combat skill growth or weapon strength, try distilling actual real world skills to numbers and making it a skill for the MC to rank people with... even my eyes start to roll.
Meanwhile Lloyd's level of obsession with magic is a character type I don't see often enough. In fact I only found Apothecary Diaries after 7th prince, because someone in the comments compared his magic fetish to Maomao's poison fetish.
I think putting Appraisal on B was about right, but 7th Prince deserved far higher.
He missed out on the last three episodes where it had some great fight scenes. Manga is still better though since the artist cooked
@@OriginalPiMan "Appraisal isekai" is C, or even D. It failed to show anything interesting with appraisal skill. It failed to be an isekai because MC acts like stupid kid and never uses experience or memory of his past life. Other characters are stereotyped and bland and they exist just to adore our MC. And the biggest flaw is politics, it's just bad for this type of show. The only moment I liked was when his dad executed some criminal, but even that is kind of stupid, because our MC is actually grown adult and should already know how terrible wars are and be ready to see dead people.
While "lv2 Chilling in another world" (Garnt rated it D) managed to entertain me, because it had actual comedy and some character development. I would rate it B, or strong C. First 2 episodes are pretty weak though, no wonder Garnt gave it a D.
I haven't seen both old and new Bartender, but from this short review it totally sound like Death Parade, but clients are alive and chill :D
I will say, 7th prince is a slow start but very good into the second half and the different in depth types of magic and curses is cool to learn about. ( please try watching b4 making any final judgements)
This season of Konosuba while Easy A, is the first one that felt lacking world wise, Main Character Wise it's an easy S as always.
But had too many Wiz season 1 issues. The fact that Rin (Dust's racoon girl party member) gets her first speaking lines and the first time we find out her name is Rin this season is an issue. There is so many stories that are audio only and the fact I only knew her name was Rin from the mobile game, she's central character enough to be in the mobile game but only ever seen in the background in the show is a problem. Even making the previous seasons 12/13 episodes for the extra 2/3 episodes per season to flesh out so much else would have alleviated so much.
From what I understand of the Mushoku Tensei anime differences they make Rudy more passively accepting of Roxy rather than an avid pursuer, which given the fallout for Rudy regardless was probably a good decision.
Think it suffers the almost abridged feeling of the episode count. It doesn't feel like 2 weeks of Rudy isolating himself after the labyrinth, it could easily have been a couple of days. But it might have felt too slow by devoting more episodes, so i'm not sure about how to resolve it.
@@ImMegaTarquin Agreed. Both Konosuba and Mushoku Tensei suffer from the LN -> anime conversion curse. Where there just isn't enough time to fit in everything so they take a hacksaw to various pieces and hope it all holds together.
Konosuba S1 was absolutely horrible at this. They completely cut the party exchange chapter which introduces Dust and his entire party, and shows that Kazuma is actually a pretty smart and resourceful leader outside his normal team and they're useless without him. Combined with a bunch of other early volume interactions being chopped it how bites us in the ass in later arcs where those characters and moments become relevant again. The movie was a hot mess with everything they took out and what they also put in ("look kids, it's Wiz and Vanir for some reason!"). I'm also upset that S3 didn't end on the café scene with Chris, would have been the perfect lead in for S4.
Mushoku Tensei mostly just suffers because it's a slow burn novel series that has to fit in the timeframe of a slow burn anime divided into cours. So many details (that also become important later) get swept away for time and time itself is super compress as a result. Hell they cut the merchant rescue from the desert and its relevance comes up in turning point 4. Main reason that if an anime interests me and I find out the primary source is a light novel I usually drop the series and dive right into the books.
Shame you haven't watched yatagarasu.such a good anime!
Aw drat, I was hoping to see his opinion of that wild twist at the end. Ah well
Gonna be honest, may be a really hot take here, but I really like what we've gotten from Slime S3 so far
Kaiju No.8 is basically Pacific Rim. Great concept with decent characters.
Its a shame girls band cry isn't distributed by anyone for my country.
You can help us get a season 2 by buying merch and supporting the band though!
I can get that 7th Prince is not that amazing and cliche even but Garnt kinda downplaying it a little bit because I guess he dropped it before shit got fun. The whole Assassin and Demon Lord arc were the best part of the show, I had so much fun watching this brainrot.
I agree that the first part of 7th prince before the assassin arc is not that good, but everything after the assassin arc will be better or at the same level as the assassin arc, imo.
Did Garnt talk about The Fable on stream?
Mushoku is the peak of grooming and guilt tripping moment, love it
(No, it's not sarcasm. It's actualy nuts that people going crazy about that aspect and repeat me, im never seeing any anime beef this big for a long time since oreimo anime ending and nisekoi war, that feels satisfying)
oh yay another anime youtuber ranking shows based off what is safe rather than what they actually think
Every time I see him put MHA in A I know it's from fear of retaliation from the fans lol
@@TuxedoKamina he literally put kaiju no.8 in A tier when everyone knows it's C at best!. Literally dude, bro fell off hard
@@__Senpai_XD__I think kaiju was worth A tier
When he was talking about Konosuba and talked about the dynamic between the "four characters" I was real confused for a second. "Four characters? Konosuba only has 3 main characters doesn't it? Is he talking about Chris? I've heard she makes a big appearance in season 3."
I forgot about Aqua! 🤣🤣
I think you should finish the 2nd half of 7th Prince. It gets pretty good and the vusuals are gorgeous.
bro is like "i watched the first 3 minutes of this anime and it didn't completely blow me away and revolutionize the genre im gonna drop guys its not good"
I KNOW RIGHT!? why they made that guy so thicc like wtf 😭who asked for it
