  • Undoubtedly one of the coolest vehicles I have had the pleasure of seeing! This 1910 Fiat S61 Corsa is truly a work of art and amazing. 100 cu inches per cylinder, can we get this massive 6 cylinder started?
Fiat has a huge roll in auto racing in the United States. Unfortunately, this side of racing in America is not well known. Honestly until I met Jim, I never realized how prominent my home state of Georgia was in racing.
From 1908 till 1911, Savannah hosted 4 races with competitors coming from around the world. The Fiats ended up winning in 1908, 1911 and 1912. They also finished 3rd in the very first Indy 500.
Stay tuned as we have some more interesting content coming out if Jim's shop!

@@LivingwithCable I am organising an event for the 125th Anniversary of FIATlater in the year and was wondering if there was a way to be in contact. Cheers Roger Beattie, President Fiat Car Club of Victoria.

It is a fantastic machine! The tag has De Vecchi & C. I want to do more research on the motor. When Jim and I was talking, he said there wasn't a lot of information on the engine. So far, I haven't found a whole lot other than I believe there is another one of these engines at Polytechnic Museum of Turin

John Kent, I sent Norm Mitchell a bit of information about De Vecchi built Colombo motors .... I am sure he would share it with you.
