- Stark Contrast looks at the county's communities, industrial development, educational and cultural institutions, sports, art, culture, transportation and more. It also follows two groups of residents representing the county's older and younger generations. Produced in 2009.
I moved away from Stark County to Oklahoma City in 2013. In recent years, I've actually begun to miss it. I do like how there is new economic development happening in Stark County. It actually began before I moved. I just wish it would reach a point where people stop leaving, or actually begin moving in. I know I'm contemplating moving back.

My Great Grandmother helped make the laugh in the dark lady. They had her the McKinley Museum a few years back. I guess she worked where they made papier-mache mannequins. My Grand mother has a baby doll she made her there.

I lived in Stark County growing up and learned a lot from this video. However, the video quality is poor. Is there a better quality video available somewhere? I’d like to watch this on my TV but it’s so pixelated…
Not one peep about Republic steel which had plants in both Canton and Massillon.
Too bad politicians and elitists frittered away a lot of the industry to overseas locations. In the 1950's and 1960's, Stark County was a booming community with jobs galore.
Those days are long gone.
