I love this style of house both inside and out. I especially liked the stairs- the curve is stunning- and the rounded window and door casings.

I was able to visit this house/museum about 30 years ago. While there to photograph an exhibit, I was given a guided tour by one of the executive staff. It was very enlightening and I learned much about the life of Mrs McKinley. The house just seems to have fit the McKinleys quite well. I could easily imagine them living there. Its not far from the NFL Hall of Fame and, of course, President McKinley's tomb is located right next to it. Well worth a trip to Canton, Ohio.

I'm a big, big fan of older houses with dark wooden inner doors, staircases, floors and furniture. They contrast beautifully against light-colored walls.
Two favorite rooms: the dining room and the family parlor.
The large ornate frame over the fireplace in the formal parlor is so elegant, so are the chandeliers in the house.
    Another beauty.
Mrs. McKinley had so much tragedy in her life. Seems like a loving couple.
    Thank you, Ken.

An Ancestry test a few years ago showed I am a cousin of this great man. While we are generations apart, I plan to learn as much about him as possible. He led a short and often tragic life, but he certainly left a significant legacy.

You should read "The Complete Life of William McKinley and Story of his Assassinations a memorial etc etc.
You can read it for free on Project Gutenburg.
I bought a fascmile copy myself, and I think it is a good read of the poltical landscape from then.

Have visited there and found the home fascinating. Loved the porches on the house and if I lived there would spend my evenings on them.

🎉an absolutely beautiful house, inside and out. I was especially taken with the chandeliers. Each one a work of art. I’ve never seen a light fixture quite like the one in the small parlor.

I really like this place. It’s not overly showy like many of the mansions you’ve toured.

The front exterior of the house looks almost identical to several small-town railroad stations I used to see here in New Jersey. Most have been replaced or closed or demolished, but this house made me remember them.

Albert E. Smith of Vitagraph photographed the assassination (unintentionally) and included it in an early newsreel, but the footage has been lost.

We have an historical home in town here where the addition is a different style than the original. The original is Gothic whereas front is ? 'imposing.'
