Great video guys! Just to clarify the post on this subject that led to your video, the key word is at the end of the first paragraph.... figures! As it stands these are not being reissued in the way described, if they are being reissued at all. The purpose of our post, was not to start an argument with a youtuber that we had previously never heard of nor have any interest in, the sole purpose of the post was to inform our own customers that these were not happening. As one of the largest Black Series sellers in the UK, we were getting literally dozens of emails a day asking about when these preorders start. So the purpose of the post was to stop the emails! and they have stopped! We also said in the post we will announce and offer helmets as and when stock is confirmed for the UK. Until that happens, we will not make any comment on what helmets or role play may be coming. The purpose was not to get into any debate with another store or you tuber. We stopped caring about what others were doing years ago. The only competitor I will ever mention, and in a negative way, is Hasbro Pulse! As I have said elsewhere, we have weekly meetings with Hasbro UK. Only yesterday we visited Hasbro in London and among other lines saw the rest of the 2024 Black Series line up. Everything happens a year in advance, and whilst I would love to say what is coming next year, we just can't!!! But as anyone in the UK will know, the lack of stock this year on some lines has been ridiculous, and the purpose of the visits is to work with Hasbro UK and make sure we get the stock that we need, so we do not sell out on pre-order in minutes, and this should start to be seen again later this year and throughout 2024 and beyond! There are a few beauties coming though for the line in 2024, so from fearing for Black Series' future after what happened with the non window boxes, I have never been more positive about it. So after seeing the 2024 line up (as things stands), the future for Black Series looks very good, and that is not commercial speak because "I have to say it", I have openly posted on Facebook a while back, the line will die unless changes are made, (Widows coming back being the main one) and anyone who reads our/my Facebook rant against Hasbro will know we do not do "professional" corporates talk!!! We say it as we see it, but have to honor NDAs and the like. But the thing is, along with other established sellers.... we are constantly throwing ideas and thoughts at Hasbro, who welcome them, (mostly) just as they welcome views of fans and You Tubers like yourselves, and they are open to these views like never before. We are big believers in reissuing older stuff (but in the correct way) and for maximum effect and minimum disruption. That's all for now on this subject, but I will leave it with this. Like everyone else, we would love to see most of those figures (and others) back out there at some point. Personally as mainly a loose collector of Black Series, packaging doesn't bother me like it does for vintage, and I fully understand your comments on value of items and packaging, but like it or not, IMO you cannot just reissue a figure from years ago as not only will the after market price crash, it will take even more of the core collectors out of the hobby, and Black Series can ill afford that now after the whole windowless box mess. A lot of people who are desperate for a figure that was out of their price range, may not be so interested in the same figure if it is no longer rare and easily available, and as a retailer who has had their own exclusives, we have the experience to back that up. There is a very fine line to thread here. I think a middle ground needs to be found to protect the "collector" market, and feed the current market. - Wayne SAF

Hello once again Nate and Justin and thanks for another interesting episode of Figure It Out. I myself have doubts if these figures are going to be rereleased later this year. But I'm honestly still hopeful that they will be. I've watched Big Nerdy on and off over the years and I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt until they prove themselves otherwise. I need/want quite a few of those figures, top of my list is Shadow Squadron and Commander Fox. I really want them for my collection. We must face reality, Hasbro has never done anything like this before. But also Hasbro tends to keep their mouths shut about a lot of what they do. Also Yakface failed to mention anything about this. And I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro is using this to find "leaks" in their staff. So we must remain patient and wait to see if this really happens. As you guys have said, this has always seemed way too good to be true, and SAF flat out denying it with such specific wording confirms it. Still would love to get a Commander Fox one day tho!
Yeah it sounded to good to be true from the start! And the fact that nobody else collaborated the announcement. I think it’s entirely possible that the information wasn’t read correctly or something. I truly believe a move like that would be a Hasbro move followed by official announcement by them .
They've rereleased things before without making official announcements...but this list is just so large that it seems like an "event" that would be worth mentioning. Thanks for watching! -Justin
Jayson/Yak has commented on it, albeit in a roundabout way. They won’t speak on it because they do not want to damage their relationships with their sponsors/affiliates as they receive financial kickbacks from them, which is fine in and of itself but does damage his reputation as an insider/leaker, IMO. If you’ve spoken with Matt before, you’ll know he doesn’t really have a filter and largely says what’s on his mind when he wants, which stems a lot from his old job, and this has obviously pissed off SAF. Nate and Justin, your coverage and videos on the matter are appreciated!

Thanks so much for the info! I trust you guys and also agree on your thoughts about collections. I'm a subscriber and always love your comments. I use 411 alot and freak out if I've paid too much for a figure, but sometimes I just have to have 'that' figure! It is nice to get a figure at a great price, but this is a hobby I just love, even though I spend most of my work overtime money on them. You guys make this hobby so cool even though I'm a 63 year old with no life at all, I can honestley say Star Wars makes my miserable life woth living - all the best guys! mtfbwy always...
Great video around this interesting topic boys, the helmets so far being rereleased at their original retail price is cool but everything else figure wise just seems so hard to believe, it’ll be interesting to see how everything plays out over the next few weeks especially, also curious if Nerdzoic is gonna come forward and say anything else regarding the topic.
Nerdzoic provided disclaimers when he “leaked” this information. Even went as far as to say that he’s not even a heavy hitter among toy shops and that what he’s doing is following suit with the larger stores. I just think the larger stores got upset because it messed up with their plans and business. Rightly so. But Nerdzoic is a fan like the rest of us and was happy to share what he knew because he knows how many people are getting scam paying several hundred dollars for these figures and is excited that fans get another chance at these figure for retails. This is a tale of the big guys going out for the little guys.
I agree with you brothers. I collect because I love action figures and I want them on my shelve. If I had a figure and a few years down the line, it's re-released again great. Gives a chance to the collector that didn't get it the first time around to purchase it on this round. It's all fun for me.
I certainly hope the rerelease is true! Because i would love to get the The Throne Emperor, Dr.Aphra and Triple Zero! But the weird thing is, no comments by Yakface ! Either the rerelease is not confirmed /fake or surprisingly Yakface is not in on it???
What's the difference between the new Dr Aphra released this year and the one I hear people mention a lot? Just the windowed package? I never knew much of her character
@@OutOfTheBasement It's possible, but I would be shocked one way or the other if these items really do sell for the original retail price or if they put these items up for pre-order and then the prices changed, either way not a great look for Hasbro because it's being dishonest with your customers considering the MSRP of the ones currently at retail for the higher price points.
@@jonmurphy5609But if so, why would a legit business lie to potential customers and get their hopes up for nothing, then setting up a situation where they lose even more than they gain? UA-cam views are not worth more in any fashion than actual money from customers ordering from them. It doesn't make any sense, and he's still sticking to his original story.
I would have no issue with updated re releases (IE archives) ... but if they re released the exact same items in the exact same packaging without any form of difference.. I think that's borderline actionable.. IE they just tanked the value of things purchased .. and did it on purpose. You can hate people who invest in their collection, but they exist.
Hasbro rereleases things all the time, it's not really anything all that new. The sheer volume on this list? Yeah that's new. And naw I have zero sympathy for people who collect as an investment. I mean sorry but I really just don't care. -Justin

Considering profits are down at Hasbro in every department and in particular over 20% in figure sales, it would be smart for Hasbro to actually do all the re-releases that were announced by Big Nerdy at Nerdzoic.
I stand by Star Action Figures!! I buy 90% of all my Star Wars figures from them and they are on the money… their shipping is so much better from my first buy to now. One week and it’s at your door . F them preorders !!!

They've been doing this for years. We saw this a lot during the red box years. It's not really Hasbro behind it, it's the HK factories that still have the molds. They're essentially bootlegs with better QA.

Damn, I was kind of looking forward to getting some of these, but I was given pause when they said straight up rereleases with no updates.... I'm not really interested in some of those doughy faces and reanimated corpse articulation of earlier figures.
The bits about "original packaging" and "original price points" made me suspicious of the leak to begin with. My theory is that the list of stuff that was "leaked" to Nerdzoic was a list of possibilities for the Archive series, or perhaps a rebranding of the Archive series that will include re-releases of some of the more sought-after figures. I'm still optimistic that they are coming, I just don't think all of the details of Nerdzoic's "scoop" were accurate.
You guys need to cover the fact that Hasbro is ripping people off. I just saw a Luke and Grogu figure for $44.99 and a Cad Bane and other figure for $55.99. Ridiculous
I also thought that this was too good to be true. Then the helmets came out again. But still no sight of any of the figures yet. So Ya, OF COURSE I would love to get most of those "highly sought" after figs and sets. But, if they don't re-release, so be it. IF they do re-release, then GREAT! BUT! I would actually prefer "updated packaging" or perhaps add these to the "Archive Line".... So for now, I will just take this all with a "pinch of salt" and look forward to the new figs from the upcoming shows. Thanks for the update / info as you 2 see it, being long time Black Series collectors. I’m hoping the re-release is true because I need a few of these figures. But like you mentioned, "if it sound too good to be true, then it probably is ", surely hope this proves wrong this time. I also really like that you both point out "don’t collect for value", collect things you like. I’m anxiously awaiting Tuesday the 22nd, come on figs !!! There is no justification for clearance figures being sold for 27 dollars at gamestop, and new figures for 30. That is insane. Some of these figures were cheaper brand new than before they were put ok clearance
To be fair, GameStop has a killer sale going on right now with select Black Series. But I agree, Walmart does the same thing. They'll have something on "clearance" but it'll be $0.02 cheaper. -Justin
Ive been skeptical since the beginning on this whole thing. It felt like a desperate attempt for attention. I just can't see Hasbro wasting all that time pumping out that many figures at the exact same time while they are still focusing on all the new releases on top of it. If it isnt on OOTB, Yakface or an official Hasbro post, Im generally ignoring the information.
I'd love for it to be real, everyone deserves to have things like that deluxe Emperor! But yeah...it just seems like a lot of production. Especially when you consider they haven't let up on mainline 2023 releases, exclusives, deluxe, etc. We shall see! -Justin
I’d say one of the biggest tipoffs is the fact that it’s 100% desirable figures. Hasbro almost always re-releases some stuff we don’t really want. Just look at some of the archive releases. I mean red and black box Skiff Lando was not included. That’s a dead ringer
One question to ask is who benefits from this leaked information if it turns out to be false? A retailer who deals in new and used figures would benefit from increased desire for these old figures. All of a sudden fans are reminded that there are figures they don’t have, they get excited about owning them, the story ends up to be false, but they still want the figures, they’re willing to pay higher aftermarket prices. I am not saying, I think this is the case, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

I will wait and see, but I was skeptic from the start too. IF these are coming out, are they warehouse finds? The stamp on the figures will surely speak the truth.
Matt, Big Nerdy, of Nerdzoic, is a neighbor. He's honest, reputable and an exceptional retailer. I've never known him to do anything irresponsibly. Didn't he say that there may be a chance the information could be wrong? So what? Now his haunch went from 75% to maybe 90%? He didn't actually say it was a 100% sure thing. We are getting the two helmets on his list, isn't that an indication the rest of his information is correct? I'm a collector who appreciates the figures for what they are. I could care less what, if anything, gets devalued. In fact, I welcome the chance to be able to get figures I missed buying on their initial run. Do I think the information is a sure thing? I don't know? Lets wait and see. It's cool if they are re=released. If they are not released, I'm still going to continue to collect the Black Series.
No he literally said in a follow up video his information was 100% accurate. If anything he's just super gullible and likely got lied to. The thing about nerdy that's always made me skeptical though is he constantly has to tell his viewers how honest he is. This whole situation really doesn't help that now.
I just rewatched his last update on it. He never said, "One hundred percent accurate." He said he was more confident and he was going to act on that. He has never bragged about being honest. In all his videos where he talked about his store, he only bragged about giving the best customer service he can. And he does give excellent customer service, better than anyone else I've bought figures from. I'll tell you what though, he is as honest as they come. Again, all I can say is wait and see.
Tom it's important to note that we are not taking sides with either organization. I am simply looking at this situation from the perspective of the consumer, the collector. We never said that Nerdzoic isn't reputable or an exceptional retailer. I think he made the right call not putting everything up for pre-order (like Toy Snowman did) considering the Nerdzoic store takes money up front. I hope this all comes to fruition as well. At the end of the day Nerdzoic is running a business he posted them to sell preorders. He doesn’t give refunds with preorders but store credit. He was the same one to say to not play “discount chicken”

I agree with you, we have to be careful because the anxiety of grab that figure will take us to loos our money. The other point is , if that was true(to good to be) the price definitely not be the original. So lets keep calm and wait for the figure 😉😉😉

Not sure anymore also don't understand what would downside be for Hasbro if they re -release those figures ? They would make a whole lot of money and stick it to resale people which would kind of make them look good in most people's eyes except those who will lose money of course.

I will be just fine if this is false. I would like to have some of these older figures, but I want them to be updated with modern articulation. I still have my Captain Rex on preorder from BBTS since 6/1/21.
I don't believe they would do any of these in updated versions. Ever. They haven't done it in the past for numerous examples that would've been necessary, from Jango to Cody and more. A reissue is really the only hope people have for many of these.
If they are going to be re-releasing the Ahsoka and Anakin, Tuesday would be the perfect time to announce it as Ahsoka premieres the next day….just sayin
Also, With Ahsoka airing, Hasbro will do the weekly reveals/followed by preorders the day after. So these will coincide with those? I am also very skeptical. I already have all of these figures in-hand from previous releases, so I have no desire to buy again. JUST BE SAFE!

Honestly glad y'all have really been covering this news because I certainly fell off. Glad to see helmets be rereleased but still curious if figures will be too. I mean there are like 5 or more things on that list that i would INSTANTLY buy... but until i hear anything confirming this elsewhere... yeah nah. If they would do Fox, then that would almost force them to re-release Rex at some point, and THAT i NEED.... half my Shelf is overrun with 501st boys now and i only got the Bad Batch Rex... that just won't do much longer.

This news kind of turned Black Series collecting into a Soap Opera. Grey's Anatomy, or maybe like a WWE rivalry with word slinging. The community can already be a trifle negative (I appreciate your guy's positivity on collecting its just fun). Now we are in a no win. If it doesn't happen. People will say, yeah, Hasbro screwed us so and do lied. If it does people will bellyache my collection is "devalued". For me I need some of these figs. So fingers crossed. Great video as always.
This was incredibly unfortunate for the community, and it just serves as a reminder to all of us not to spread this stuff around until we have official confirmation, it just ends up disappointing people and damaging credibility. I will believe it when I have red/black box Obi and 000 in my actual collection having paid £25 each for them.

True Hasblow has never done anything like this before. We usually get Archive packages for rerelease figures. Just for now I'm hopeful for this chance to get a few figures I missed out on. @@theperceptor9287 To be honest, Tom, I need a fair few of what's been suggested and would also love a Stormpooper helmet as well. My problem is, I now refuse to be excited for anything sw. There has been far too many let downs in the last few years, so my excitement now comes from things like, finishing watching Andor, then realising it was superb and randomly getting the 9 year old Darth Vader with removable helmet, then absolutely loving it. ❤️ I have no feelings for Ahsoka... No hype, no excitement. I'm just hoping it will be fantastic, yet expecting it to be bad. We just can't tell by the trailers...

I'd be happy if they were coming out as Archive waves but we've never gotten Archive figures during anniversary release years. So I'm not excited at this point I plan on keeping my ears open and hoping for the best, and with the rerelease of the two helmets there's reason to hold some hope, hopefully. I'd be upset but I was skeptical about this from the start. And yes, I've successfully bought from Nerdzoic too and have several Neca preorders in with him. I don't blame him for this debacle.
S'up guys. I like your attitude. Buy the figures for pleasure not greed. I've always liked action figures since I was a little lad in the 1970's and 80's. Star Wars 3 3/4" figs then Action Force our UK version of GI Joe, Masters of the Universe etc. I don't think Star Action Figures were being passive agressive. More just exasperated.😁 I'm all for re-releases of hard to find figs, so don't mind if the rumours are true. I'd prefer updates for some.

This huge figure re-release sounded too good to be true. There are some real old school banger figures in there. I'll wait until next Tuesday to see what happens, but I don't have a lot of hope they'll be released.
You’re adding to it which doesn’t help. Suppliers in the UK confirmed they are constantly in touch with Hasbro about ideas and product development so will hear of even any whispers that something might be coming

Is Black Series a collector line still ? Most are available on clearance, pretty much , clearance toys . Just a bunch of cheap stuff , move on to GIJoe Classified, you’ll get blown away how much Classified figures are more superior to Star Wars Clearance toys
My wallet is happy if it is a fake - my collectors soul rather not. What if the whole circus was just a cleverly launched test balloon by Hasbro to find out how much interest there really is through the reactions on the various channels? Rereleasing always means the danger of pegwarming and high costs with low sales - just like for every new figure. So instead of doing expensive market research, a well-placed rumor would do the trick. At least that would be a new slightly cheaper approach.

Yeah, who knows if this will happen, I like Nerdzoic and Big Nerdy /Matt very much, also Toy Snowman, who is local to me, but I'm just waiting for official releases and not pre-ordering anything off the list. I never collected for value, there is none except for personal value and enjoyment, just getting that piece of plastic Crack is value enough.
@@OutOfTheBasement but they almost NEVER do full reissue (ie package) and I didn't hear complaints about the Archive editions. PS: I don't collect a lotfor toy "collecting" but I do with comics: Comics don't de value because of re-issues. It's the "resale" market the hurts not the collector.
Admittedly, I am glad that this ended up not panning out… too many outdated figs on this list and I’d much rather have new renditions! Only a handful I would’ve grabbed anyway
Not to sound like an a-hole but I don’t care one bit about this whole story no matter what happens. No. 1 I already own all of these rumored re-release figs that I want so I don’t need them myself. Therefore if it turns out to be untrue and they don’t come out again, I’m good. and No. 2 If this does turn out to be true I’m happy for those that want these and can get them easier. like you guys, I don’t collect for value either. I did pay a little bit over retail for some of these, but if others can get them for retail it doesn’t bother me in the least. They are already on my shelf and they bring me joy every time I see them. That’s all I care about. If more people get them I look at it as a boon to the interest and participation in the line overall which will help me get more new stuff in the long run. So either way I could really care less. I’m just sitting here waiting for the last wave of ROTJ anniversary figures to come thru and for new figure reveals. Meanwhile all that’s going on in the line right now is a bunch of videogame figures hitting that I don’t care about ( nothing against those that do care) and this rerelease story which makes the waiting seem to last longer. There are always peaks and valleys…

I've got to say I believe Nerdzoic did this for personal gain, whether that's publicly for his channel or getting people to buy from his store. But the looks of it, this information should not have come out. I would have much rather waited to hear this information until it's actually happening. Come Tuesday, if there's not a figure up for pre order on SAF, I'm calling BS.

SAF lagged behind many others in getting the helmets, I don't think they have them up for PO even now. They are not a good indicator of what's to come. What gain would Nerdzoic have? He's speaking of potential business in the future, not now? You can't order from him now and make it definitely so. It's all speculation. If it turns out to be a complete lie, he'd lose customers he already has, on top of any new ones.

I think the truth is somewhere in between here. The fact even SAF agree the restock of helmets is genuine makes me think there must be something to Nerdzoic's claims, although I also think he definitely puts videos out for the sole purpose of driving business to his site.
But if said rumors turned out to be nothing but a lie, he would lose business massively. It's not like he can offer the preorders and have people pay then take their money and run.
Ive been put off NZ since he opened his toystore shortly after making his YT channel. It screamed sketchy to me. He seems like a collector who collects for all the wrong reasons ($$$) and knows surprisingly little about Marvel and SW for someone who dubbed themselves "Big Nerdy." Just to clarify the post on this subject that led to your video, the key word is at the end of the first paragraph.... figures!
As it stands these are not being reissued in the way described, if they are being reissued at all. The purpose of our post, was not to start an argument with a youtuber that we had previously never heard of nor have any interest in, the sole purpose of the post was to inform our own customers that these were not happening. As one of the largest Black Series sellers in the UK, we were getting literally dozens of emails a day asking about when these preorders start.
So the purpose of the post was to stop the emails! and they have stopped! We also said in the post we will announce and offer helmets as and when stock is confirmed for the UK. Until that happens, we will not make any comment on what helmets or role play may be coming. The purpose was not to get into any debate with another store or you tuber. We stopped caring about what others were doing years ago. The only competitor I will ever mention, and in a negative way, is Hasbro Pulse!
As I have said elsewhere, we have weekly meetings with Hasbro UK. Only yesterday we visited Hasbro in London and among other lines saw the rest of the 2024 Black Series line up. Everything happens a year in advance, and whilst I would love to say what is coming next year, we just can't!!!
But as anyone in the UK will know, the lack of stock this year on some lines has been ridiculous, and the purpose of the visits is to work with Hasbro UK and make sure we get the stock that we need, so we do not sell out on pre-order in minutes, and this should start to be seen again later this year and throughout 2024 and beyond!
There are a few beauties coming though for the line in 2024, so from fearing for Black Series' future after what happened with the non window boxes, I have never been more positive about it. So after seeing the 2024 line up (as things stands), the future for Black Series looks very good, and that is not commercial speak because "I have to say it", I have openly posted on Facebook a while back, the line will die unless changes are made, (Widows coming back being the main one) and anyone who reads our/my Facebook rant against Hasbro will know we do not do "professional" corporates talk!!! We say it as we see it, but have to honor NDAs and the like.
But the thing is, along with other established sellers.... we are constantly throwing ideas and thoughts at Hasbro, who welcome them, (mostly) just as they welcome views of fans and You Tubers like yourselves, and they are open to these views like never before. We are big believers in reissuing older stuff (but in the correct way) and for maximum effect and minimum disruption. That's all for now on this subject, but I will leave it with this. Like everyone else, we would love to see most of those figures (and others) back out there at some point.
Personally as mainly a loose collector of Black Series, packaging doesn't bother me like it does for vintage, and I fully understand your comments on value of items and packaging, but like it or not, IMO you cannot just reissue a figure from years ago as not only will the after market price crash, it will take even more of the core collectors out of the hobby, and Black Series can ill afford that now after the whole windowless box mess. A lot of people who are desperate for a figure that was out of their price range, may not be so interested in the same figure if it is no longer rare and easily available, and as a retailer who has had their own exclusives, we have the experience to back that up. There is a very fine line to thread here. I think a middle ground needs to be found to protect the "collector" market, and feed the current market. - Wayne SAF

I myself have doubts if these figures are going to be rereleased later this year. But I'm honestly still hopeful that they will be. I've watched Big Nerdy on and off over the years and I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt until they prove themselves otherwise.
I need/want quite a few of those figures, top of my list is Shadow Squadron and Commander Fox. I really want them for my collection.
We must face reality, Hasbro has never done anything like this before. But also Hasbro tends to keep their mouths shut about a lot of what they do. Also Yakface failed to mention anything about this. And I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro is using this to find "leaks" in their staff. So we must remain patient and wait to see if this really happens.

Jayson/Yak has commented on it, albeit in a roundabout way. They won’t speak on it because they do not want to damage their relationships with their sponsors/affiliates as they receive financial kickbacks from them, which is fine in and of itself but does damage his reputation as an insider/leaker, IMO.
If you’ve spoken with Matt before, you’ll know he doesn’t really have a filter and largely says what’s on his mind when he wants, which stems a lot from his old job, and this has obviously pissed off SAF.

I use 411 alot and freak out if I've paid too much for a figure, but sometimes I just have to have 'that' figure! It is nice to get a figure at a great price, but this is a hobby I just love, even though I spend most of my work overtime money on them. You guys make this hobby so cool even though I'm a 63 year old with no life at all, I can honestley say Star Wars makes my miserable life woth living - all the best guys! mtfbwy always...

Nerdzoic provided disclaimers when he “leaked” this information. Even went as far as to say that he’s not even a heavy hitter among toy shops and that what he’s doing is following suit with the larger stores. I just think the larger stores got upset because it messed up with their plans and business. Rightly so. But Nerdzoic is a fan like the rest of us and was happy to share what he knew because he knows how many people are getting scam paying several hundred dollars for these figures and is excited that fans get another chance at these figure for retails. This is a tale of the big guys going out for the little guys.

I agree with you brothers. I collect because I love action figures and I want them on my shelve. If I had a figure and a few years down the line, it's re-released again great. Gives a chance to the collector that didn't get it the first time around to purchase it on this round. It's all fun for me.

@@OutOfTheBasement It's possible, but I would be shocked one way or the other if these items really do sell for the original retail price or if they put these items up for pre-order and then the prices changed, either way not a great look for Hasbro because it's being dishonest with your customers considering the MSRP of the ones currently at retail for the higher price points.

I would have no issue with updated re releases (IE archives) ... but if they re released the exact same items in the exact same packaging without any form of difference.. I think that's borderline actionable.. IE they just tanked the value of things purchased .. and did it on purpose. You can hate people who invest in their collection, but they exist.

They've been doing this for years. We saw this a lot during the red box years. It's not really Hasbro behind it, it's the HK factories that still have the molds. They're essentially bootlegs with better QA.

The bits about "original packaging" and "original price points" made me suspicious of the leak to begin with. My theory is that the list of stuff that was "leaked" to Nerdzoic was a list of possibilities for the Archive series, or perhaps a rebranding of the Archive series that will include re-releases of some of the more sought-after figures. I'm still optimistic that they are coming, I just don't think all of the details of Nerdzoic's "scoop" were accurate.

There is no justification for clearance figures being sold for 27 dollars at gamestop, and new figures for 30. That is insane. Some of these figures were cheaper brand new than before they were put ok clearance
To be fair, GameStop has a killer sale going on right now with select Black Series. But I agree, Walmart does the same thing. They'll have something on "clearance" but it'll be $0.02 cheaper. -Justin
Secondary market has seen a lot of these figures flooding the market. Prices are all over the place.
A lot of people looking to make a quick buck will try to sell their originals for a large profit if they know a rerelease is coming. -Justin
Ive been skeptical since the beginning on this whole thing. It felt like a desperate attempt for attention. I just can't see Hasbro wasting all that time pumping out that many figures at the exact same time while they are still focusing on all the new releases on top of it.

One question to ask is who benefits from this leaked information if it turns out to be false? A retailer who deals in new and used figures would benefit from increased desire for these old figures. All of a sudden fans are reminded that there are figures they don’t have, they get excited about owning them, the story ends up to be false, but they still want the figures, they’re willing to pay higher aftermarket prices. I am not saying, I think this is the case, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Matt, Big Nerdy, of Nerdzoic, is a neighbor. He's honest, reputable and an exceptional retailer. I've never known him to do anything irresponsibly. Didn't he say that there may be a chance the information could be wrong? So what? Now his haunch went from 75% to maybe 90%? He didn't actually say it was a 100% sure thing. We are getting the two helmets on his list, isn't that an indication the rest of his information is correct? I'm a collector who appreciates the figures for what they are. I could care less what, if anything, gets devalued. In fact, I welcome the chance to be able to get figures I missed buying on their initial run. Do I think the information is a sure thing? I don't know? Lets wait and see. It's cool if they are re=released. If they are not released, I'm still going to continue to collect the Black Series.
No he literally said in a follow up video his information was 100% accurate. If anything he's just super gullible and likely got lied to. The thing about nerdy that's always made me skeptical though is he constantly has to tell his viewers how honest he is. This whole situation really doesn't help that now.
I just rewatched his last update on it. He never said, "One hundred percent accurate." He said he was more confident and he was going to act on that. He has never bragged about being honest. In all his videos where he talked about his store, he only bragged about giving the best customer service he can. And he does give excellent customer service, better than anyone else I've bought figures from. I'll tell you what though, he is as honest as they come. Again, all I can say is wait and see.
Tom it's important to note that we are not taking sides with either organization. I am simply looking at this situation from the perspective of the consumer, the collector. We never said that Nerdzoic isn't reputable or an exceptional retailer. I think he made the right call not putting everything up for pre-order (like Toy Snowman did) considering the Nerdzoic store takes money up front. I hope this all comes to fruition as well. At the end of the day Nerdzoic is running a business he posted them to sell preorders. He doesn’t give refunds with preorders but store credit. He was the same one to say to not play “discount chicken”

This news kind of turned Black Series collecting into a Soap Opera. Grey's Anatomy, or maybe like a WWE rivalry with word slinging. The community can already be a trifle negative (I appreciate your guy's positivity on collecting its just fun). Now we are in a no win. If it doesn't happen.

I will believe it when I have red/black box Obi and 000 in my actual collection having paid £25 each for them.

True Hasblow has never done anything like this before. We usually get Archive packages for rerelease figures. Just for now I'm hopeful for this chance to get a few figures I missed out on. I definitely need that Obi-Wan Clone Wars figure as well.

There has been far too many let downs in the last few years, so my excitement now comes from things like, finishing watching Andor, then realising it was superb and randomly getting the 9 year old Darth Vader with removable helmet, then absolutely loving it. ❤️ I have no feelings for Ahsoka... No hype, no excitement. I'm just hoping it will be fantastic, yet expecting it to be bad. We just can't tell by the trailers...

I'd be happy if they were coming out as Archive waves but we've never gotten Archive figures during anniversary release years. So I'm not excited at this point I plan on keeping my ears open and hoping for the best, and with the rerelease of the two helmets there's reason to hold some hope, hopefully. The only way this might make sense is if someone came across some stock collecting dust in a warehouse somewhere and decided to make some money.
None of these ever sat around in warehouses, at least not in sufficient quantities for any toy store to do a run of orders on them.
It's all fresh runs with Hasbro. The lost warehouse thing is never the case for rereleases, repacks, repaints, etc. They are all fresh productions. -Justin

I've always liked action figures since I was a little lad in the 1970's and 80's. Star Wars 3 3/4" figs then Action Force our UK version of GI Joe, Masters of the Universe etc.

Is Black Series a collector line still ? Most are available on clearance, pretty much , clearance toys . Just a bunch of cheap stuff , move on to GIJoe Classified, you’ll get blown away how much Classified figures are more superior to Star Wars Clearance toys

My wallet is happy if it is a fake - my collectors soul rather not.
What if the whole circus was just a cleverly launched test balloon by Hasbro to find out how much interest there really is through the reactions on the various channels? Rereleasing always means the danger of pegwarming and high costs with low sales - just like for every new figure. So instead of doing expensive market research, a well-placed rumor would do the trick. At least that would be a new slightly cheaper approach.

Yeah, who knows if this will happen, I like Nerdzoic and Big Nerdy /Matt very much, also Toy Snowman, who is local to me, but I'm just waiting for official releases and not pre-ordering anything off the list. I never collected for value, there is none except for personal value and enjoyment, just getting that piece of plastic Crack is value enough.

@@OutOfTheBasement but they almost NEVER do full reissue (ie package) and I didn't hear complaints about the Archive editions. PS: I don't collect a lotfor toy "collecting" but I do with comics: Comics don't de value because of re-issues. It's the "resale" market the hurts not the collector.

Not to sound like an a-hole but I don’t care one bit about this whole story no matter what happens. No. 1 I already own all of these rumored re-release figs that I want so I don’t need them myself. Therefore if it turns out to be untrue and they don’t come out again, I’m good.
and No. 2 If this does turn out to be true I’m happy for those that want these and can get them easier. like you guys, I don’t collect for value either. I did pay a little bit over retail for some of these, but if others can get them for retail it doesn’t bother me in the least. They are already on my shelf and they bring me joy every time I see them. That’s all I care about. If more people get them I look at it as a boon to the interest and participation in the line overall which will help me get more new stuff in the long run.
So either way I could really care less. I’m just sitting here waiting for the last wave of ROTJ anniversary figures to come thru and for new figure reveals. Meanwhile all that’s going on in the line right now is a bunch of videogame figures hitting that I don’t care about ( nothing against those that do care) and this rerelease story which makes the waiting seem to last longer.

I've got to say I believe Nerdzoic did this for personal gain, whether that's publicly for his channel or getting people to buy from his store. But the looks of it, this information should not have come out. I would have much rather waited to hear this information until it's actually happening. SAF lagged behind many others in getting the helmets, I don't think they have them up for PO even now. They are not a good indicator of what's to come.
What gain would Nerdzoic have? He's speaking of potential business in the future, not now? You can't order from him now and make it definitely so. It's all speculation. If it turns out to be a complete lie, he'd lose customers he already has, on top of any new ones.

Ive been put off NZ since he opened his toystore shortly after making his YT channel. It screamed sketchy to me. He seems like a collector who collects for all the wrong reasons ($$$) and knows surprisingly little about Marvel and SW for someone who dubbed themselves "Big Nerdy." Ill eat my words if it turns out to be true but if nothing drops thats a shit move.
