    Yesterday I was in downtown Mexico City with my a6000 and a kit lens. It's not bad, but when I see photos made with sigma 30mm, the quality is on a different level

      Oh absolutely. I think those Sigma primes are hard to beat. But for those who aren't able to get those or just want a simple zoom to get started, I wanted to show that getting the shot is more important. Thanks for watching mate 🖖😁

    Loved using the kit lens on the a6000,, until I broke it. It was a sad day. Need to look out for another. 🤥 Thanks, for the video !!

    Hello from Russia, David. I have been fond of shooting with a film camera for a long time and I want to start doing street photography. I have exactly the same Sony a6000 camera, I thought it was capable of nothing. But after watching your videos and this baby with a standard lens, I'm just delighted, especially with a reflection shot at 8:53. It is rightly said that it is in the hands, not the technique. You are an amazing dude, keep up the good work.

      Hey, thanks so much 🙏 The a6000 is an awesome camera and I'd love to see what you get with it. After using huge high Res Nikon cameras for years, the a6000 is a joy to use. Thanks for watching mate 🖖😁

    Nice video! Goes to show even cheap glass can create nice images. Even the cheapest lens is a kind of miracle.

      Thank you. That Sony kit lens is pretty terrible, but it does the job alright. Thanks for watching 🖖

    Great video David. It seems like that "cheap" lens did the job just fine. Great point to this video...just get on with what you've got. Loved the shot of the unaware guy on the bench at 6:58 and the reflection shot at 8:53. Great stuff mate, really enjoyed it as always!

      Thanks, Paul. Sometimes I think that with street photography, point and shoot is just the way to go. I love shooting primes, but much like when I was shooting Nikon, I think a 24-70 could be my everything lens. Thanks for watching mate 🖖

    When I first started shooting digital I had a bridge camera, so the lens you had was the only lens you had, and I got some awesome shots, none of this "oooh I need to change lens" stuff - yeah the image quality wasn't brilliant but that was mostly down to the fact that it was an early bridge camera rather than having a terrible lens or whatever. My highest earning shot of all time was taken using that bridge camera, and it's been downhill ever since!!!! Great video David

      Funnily enough, my best selling stock image was shot on a Nikon d3300 and a crappy 18-55 kit lens. Maybe a slight step up from an old bridge camera, but still far from "pro" gear despite it making me money for a year before I decide to go full frame lol.
      I've had the high Res body and pro grade glass and I can honestly say that something like the a6000 is infinitely more fun to shoot with on a day to day basis. Thanks for watching mate 🖖

      @@DavidFlowerOfficial Perhaps I should get a cheap AF zoom for my Lumix and go out and have some actual fun!!! Although I do enjoy messing around with the old vintage lenses, not that they're good for productivity because I NEVER have the right lens on the camera - there was a herd of deer roaming majestically the other day, and I'd gone out with just one wide angle lens so they'd have been tiny little specs!!!

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah, although I'm a bit of a control freak when it comes to what I let the camera do and I love the vintage lenses, it was a nice change shooting shutter priority with auto iso and having a little bit of zoom range.

    Just got Sony ZV-E10 with this bace zoom lens. Compared with good phone, D750 Tamron 16-24mm, 2.8 and my Insta360 One (one inch sensors)...
    ALL of them in 200X viewing about same result sharpness, ONLY in day light however...So then sensor size starts talking for limited/night lighting...
    AND...some primes 1,4 to 2,0 here unbeatable in terms of final results quality.
    Thank you a lot for nice talking, agree with you 💯.

    Great video David. I am glad you did it. What ND filter are you using ? Also I have found that the OSS on the KiT lens helps at night. I have been able to handhold 1/5 shutter speeds regularly. Helps in low light.

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching mate. It's not an Nd it's a generic circular polarizer. I think I'm going to do a night video with this set up and focus on slightly longer exposures etc🖖

      @@DavidFlowerOfficial that's cool. I am looking forward to that video. I am new to photography. Does it have to be an expensive Polariser filter?

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  2 роки тому

      I've never bought expensive filters even for landscape photography, but you don't want something that's going to effect sharpness, so I usually buy Hoya or Urth/Gobe filters and have never found them to have a negative impact on the images. I find them to be a very good middle ground 👍

    How about the sony a6000 camera for street photography only?Which lens would be better? Which contains stabilizer?

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  Рік тому

      The kit lens I used in this video is stabilised but if you want a prime, my choice would be the 50mm f1.8 for apsc which also has stabilisation, but be sure you don’t buy the full frame 50mm because that has no stabilisation whatsoever 🖖
