I totally agree with your comment in the description. However, while they have a weak neutral, I do think titans have the most impactful Transcendence. With either consecration or shield throw, you can chain melee and the strongest prismatic grenade with no effort. I started building mine to focus on Transcendence up time and have found success. Unfortunately, other classes are objectively better out of the box and easier to build imo
As it is right now, I don't see myself using Prismatic on Titan. I'm hoping that situation improves as they add some aspects in combination with the Class items. Thank you for the vid, well played!
i've been really struggling with the legend campaign on titan, in stark contrast to my warlock who breezed through. prismatic titan really is just missing the best of what titan has to offer. when knockout is your best survivability option... you don't have a survivability option. anyway, watching this gameplay has given me some idea on how to stay alive better despite prismatic's shortcomings so i'll give it another shot soon

I ended up just playing strand Titan bc prismatic sucked survivability wise I couldn’t beat it. The last boss is impossible on Titan and it’s a breeze on getaway lock. Might and day difference. It’s crazy. No idea how bungie thought titans was in a good enough spot to release how it is. Knockout isn’t enough. Best I could do is skullfort helm and thunder clap spam. It gives u ur melee back and heals u full. Not very fun tho. Which is my other complaint on prismatic Titan. It just isn’t fun. Bc it’s just the same thing we’ve always done.
Agree with your comment wholeheartedly heartedly and have been saying the same thing on every video and arguing with people. Titan is so lackluster compared to the other classes. And the biggest thing to me is it didn’t bring any new playstyle or something creative. It’s just more of what we already did. Consecration and thunder clap spam but like you said…. Missing the healing and survival stuff the regular classes give. There is like two builds for all of prismatic and there both pretty boring and being nothing new to the table. Meanwhile lock has multiple new play styles and can do things it can’t on other classes.

Titan feels more CC designed for mid/far range passive setup like what void and stasis warlock are. I wish they gave access to all 3 new class grenades to pick from. Not a fan of the titan arc/strand grenade. So far I def still prefer stasis/strand for stronghold setup. For a CC build abeyant leap seems best or use an abeyant/armamentarium or kepris combo with the exotic class item.
Yeah its immenselt fun to clean rooms with all the big AoE and lockdown pris titan has but for endgame i find myself wishing i was on my solar/strand setups.
It really is a shame unbreakable uses grenade energy instead of class ability. Would have been perfect with sword builds had they done that. It is crazy how tanky you can get with all of those protection buffs stacking up like mad.

Bungie really should ditch out this "melee identity" and because it sucks in end-game, yet some UA-camrs are still saying it is amazing (in patrol maybe lol). Nobody was doing day-1 raid with 6 wormgod/syntho titans. The only titan in the team is prob on div/ursa. The new titan void super is trash. Does mediocre damage and has ZERO survivability. Who wants to run to the axes during DPS phase? Have no healing or damage resist while holding an axe. The weakening effect can be replaced by a weakening nade. The design was just F-tier. On the other hand void hoil titan is so so back. Spamming void-wall nade with devour and indomitability is NUTS. Bubble rework that gives overshield when you stand outside is also amazing! Wish they kept the weapon of light too then it would be a solid build for anything other than raids.
the axes actually do the same(more damage on void with controlled demolition and a fragment) if not more damage than a thundercrash actually. and you get the utility to delete majors with the axes afterwards too. consecration knockout also has to be one of the most busted things i've ever used with 3 charges + synthos one shotting nearly any wave of adds on contest mode. It had me floored.
@@Tigerbro6 I do agree with everything you said. For me personally, melee-focused build is like rolling a dice. Too much rng and it's not consistent or safe. I enjoy doing solo gms. Never used a melee build that worked out well. Too much inconsistency/RNG and not safe either. A solid build should have high damage output for champs/bosses, add clear capability and survivability all at the same time.
No one's using melee builds for day 1s because nobody knows what the encounters are, boss hitboxes, boss crit multipliers, if bosses 1 shot melee you, if bosses can even BE meleed. If people knew both bosses in The Final Shape raid were melee viable before it came out, you can bet your ass there'd be a team of strand titans that got world's first. Also the new void titan super does not do mediocre damage. It's damage is good, even better when paired with the void seasonal mod, and will be even better if using the Star Eater's class item.

Literally as a titan main it feels terrible every raid is just hunters and warlocks. The team that beat the raid first last week was just hunters and warlocks 😢
Nothing super significant. It's nice that we can carry a damage resist on the run but the cooldown on shard generation makes it difficult to maintain the buff, you often don't realize the buff has ran out unless you constantly check on your HUD. Though, it is understandable that if we don't have a cooldown on it can make crystal spam with 3x Behemoth in PvP be very annoying to deal with.
Well i took my prismatic stronghold titan in -28 glass way and it was wonderful....in my opinion consecration is a need of prismatic titan .....will upload some Lament gameplay to show case some good Lament x strongholds possibiliies .
I might be cooking something burnt here, but have you considered Kephri's horn for more class ability spam shenanigans? I imagine it may pair well with triple consecration slam
I don't think the exotic class item changes Prismatic Titan much. Many combos lack some essential parts, not matter which combo you choose, there's always a missing piece(s) (survivability, damage, ability regen, etc.), but here are some of my recommendations: Inmost Light + Synthoceps for good melee damage and improve ability regen Inmost Light + Armamentarium for higher ability play Severance + Contact for AOE melees Eternal Warrior + Star-Eater for damage situations Abeyant + Scars for crowd control and small healing Granted, I don't have many good rolls myself but after just play with Prismatic Titan and see what effects the exotic class item has, I don't think these combos would massively improve the power of Prismatic Titan. These are only some rolls that I'm on the look out for to get the most out of the subclass or that they might be useful down the line if Bungie decides to buff Prismatic Titan in some way.
I don't see a use of it other than buffing swords in DPS situations as of right now. The ammo economy isn't super nice on it and the sword simply doesn't offer anything drastic in under light activities compared to other exotic options.
If you are saying Titan is the weakest prismatic for underlight content, can you make a video about the best underlight for each class? I mean warlock is kinda obvious but the others im not sure, still fiddeling around

Prismaric titans need a better source of healing for sure. Maybe they will get sunspots in a future update..
you should check out the thunderclap spam build plunder did, I'm shocked at how efficient it was at the 2005 power story missions

It won't drop the new gear, only old stuff. The new way to get exotics is through Rahool.
