  • Hey! I am going to be sinking effort into UA-cam. Middle splits is a super cool skill to have but the biggest take away here is PNF stretching. Learn it. Get good at it. And have fun with it.
    Peace out!

    Your video was completely ADHD friendly, I've managed to actually watch it and learn from it without getting bored. The cuts were so subtle and well done! I will spread it everywhere, thank you so much!

    I can side split all day long, but the middle split has eluded me for years. I'll give it a go! Thanks!!

    It´s great to see more and more debunking of the myths about passive stretching being a good warm-up ! This has been a plague for dancers and figure skaters for way too long. And even though there has been more and more of research in recent years (or even decades) there´s still so many artists and athletes practicing that. Well done, keep spreading the science !!!

      Very wet ground! And yes, shoulders often get very bound up in any fighting sport. Broom pole stretches help a lot! But also since you’ll be doing a lot of throwing, it helps to stretch your spine in a twist like Thread the needle stretch.

    I'm almost getting my front split, but the middle split is impossible for me. Not only can I not open my legs (seriously. It's like 50cm wide), but my torso just doesn't go forward. I always need to grab a table or something to pull myself. So this video didn't help very much. I need something to unlock the ability to sit down and open my legs. When I sink into it from above, it's less embracing. But still... not much progress yet.

    • @pharoah125
      @pharoah125 Рік тому +1

      I’m the same way. My torso just won’t lean forward. It’s not even a tightness issue. It just doesn’t move that way.

      Could be your bone structure! I wasn’t able to get there until I practiced external rotation. Toes up to the sky instead of forward may help.

    If someone can answer this please do but when I lie on the ground with my legs extended smth like pancake stretch the part under my knees is not touching the ground there is a large gap and I can’t extend legs further it’s fully locked out.
    Any idea why this happens and how to fix?
