Why do I Snore? The only way to know is a DISE !

- A DISE is a way for a surgeon to examine you whilst you are sleeping so you can see a video recording of the inside of your throat whilst you are snoring or getting obstructed with sleep apnoea.
Treating sleep apnoea is difficult as there are so many devices (CPAP, MAS, iNAP, ExciteOSA), operations (at least 38) and other therapeutic options available. Deciding on which treatment to use is I think almost impossible unless you find out WHY you have sleep apnoea (not just how bad it is - as seen on a sleep study). A Drug Induced Sleep Endoscopy is a way to find out why you have sleep apnoea.

CHARITY NFTs
I am going to start making a collection of NFTs about environmental projects I am passionate about. They aren't for sale yet, but once I have a few I will put them on the blockchain. All profits will be donated to charities. This first one is about plastic in the sea, and I will find a charity that will accept a crypto donation. I will also make a video one day explaining the benefits of NFTs. It also gives me a chance to flex some artistic brain cells I haven't used in many many years.

I was diagnosed with possible UARS at my local hospital, thanks to your informative videos I was encouraged to ask for an appointment at the Royal National ENT - I do hope I may qualify for a drug induced sleep endoscopy at my appointment at your sleep clinic in April. I'm so fatigued from constantly waking from snoring.
Good idea. I've had terrible chronic fatigue and disautonomia for 8 years. I know I snore pretty bad and I never wake up feeling rested, so I still think sleep apnea could be a major cause.
However, I've tried several sleep apnea devices and they haven't helped. I am willing to do this... I just have to remember to find a doctor who can do it. Not so easy when you have OCD and various other problems too
I feel ya, I’ve tried cpap therapy for years and after a head injury I don’t sleep at all or well and having a terrible time.
Interesting
Would love to do this
The rest of the developed world is so ahead of the US in terms of health care. If someone needs a procedure like this done in the UK, Denmark, Canada, etc, they can get it done. In the US, good luck. It will cost you a fortune.
Vik as a young man recently diagnosed with moderate to severe sleep apnea based in London what should I do with this information? Do I request it through my GP? Do I ask for a referral? Any help will be most appreciated!
Should I do this instead of a sleep study? Or is it better to do a sleep study 1st?
