Great demo of the tools for the gardener. It has given me ideas for better tools for my gardening and gifts for fellow gardeners. Thank you again after 75 years and counting.
Wow! I really enjoyed watching your video! ❤ Very informative! Oh and let's not forget your garden shed with all those tools, a dream of mine! Thank you for sharing!
Greetings to Central Mississippi! I'm so glad you are enjoying my channel! Even though we have different climate zones, the principles of gardening remain the same. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you! I appreciate that. Once you start buying stainless, it's hard to go back 😊 . I also forgot to mention in the video that soil doesn't stick as much to the stainless. Stainless is just too smooth. The tools have a natural tendency to stay clean.
I just wanted to write I use the reciprocating saw to divide my Hosta's and Euphatoriums, at last, you showed you did you Irises with it XD. I love your perfectly organized toolshed. A dream. Thanks for showing us.
HI Rosanne! I was curious where you shop for many of your garden tools. Especially good quality ones that are sturdy and have good handles. Also "Hello" from across the river here in Saint Paul ;)
Hi Eric in St. Paul! Now we buy most of our tools online (sigh), but Tangletown Gardens on Nicollet has normally had a nice assortment of quality stainless/wood tools. Plus, it's fun to go there. Online, we've used use Garrett Wade, Sneeboer USA. Tools are fun. Enjoy!
Oh Rosanne - you are so organised, neat and tidy with the tools and keep them in such good condition. I daren’t go back in my shed now - as I know what it looks like!
O my God, lot's of gardening tools 😱😱😱😱not believe anyone have so many tools.you are the greatest gradener. Amazing garden scenery, beautiful looks.plz come once my garden to. I am from India,🙏🙏🙏
New Subscriber, I love your potting shed! Beautifully constructed. Your tools and explanations on their usage is very helpful. Could you please post a list where we could find them and what brands they are, as many are not sold in local stores like Lowe’s or Home Depot. 😊 thank you.
Thanks and welcome! Most of the stainless/wood tools are either Burgon and Ball (www.burgonandball.com/pages/garden-tools) or Sneeboer (sneeboerusa.com/). Both companies make excellent tools. We also use Gardener's Supply for odds and ends (I think I got the pot scrubber there). Hope that helps!
This was so informative. I have a lot of my mothers tools from her shed that she doesn’t use anymore and now I know what they are for. Especially that trench shovel. I saw it hanging in there, but I wasn’t exactly sure what it’s purpose was. Now I know. Thanks so much for a great video. 🌹
Oh what a nice surprise to find your video today, as I rummage through my Thanksgiving recipes. I realize there is quite a bit of work put into producing each video therefore I would like to acknowledge your efforts with a note of thanks. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Thank for for the kind note. I do appreciate that you appreciate the "production" involved. My new tech-type hobby is a big change from gardening. One exercises the brain, the other calms the brain. Perfect combination. 😊
Really fun to see what tools are the favourites of other gardeners! Thank you for sharing. I really appreciate your detail and clarity. The labels you add really help.
I'm fascinated by all your tools and organization! I learned of some new tools today and this is just in time to add them to my Christmas wish list! Thank you for explaining each of the uses. I like your idea of tying a ribbon to help you find it in the garden. I usually do a yard survey to make sure I haven't left any in the dirt, but inevitably you miss one. The bright ribbon is a nice idea.
I'm so happy to hear that you found the video useful. I was thinking about putting "gift" in the title of the video (the season and all), but for some reason just didn't. Maybe I will after all. I love getting good gardening tools as gifts! Yay, bright ribbons. I've lost more than one trowel in my day. 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting!
Yes, I do like clean tools! It's so much nice to grab a shovel that's not caked with dirt! Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and commenting. 🌹
Hi Rosanne. Thats quite an array of tools you have there. Thank you for the tips and explaining what they are and their uses. Great info! I certainly picked up some valuable information. Appreciated, and your looking great, lovely lady! Enjoy your holidays 🙌🏡💗
Thank you for your useful information! I am a garden lover and always try to find some efficient garden tools. Except your three used offen tools. I have a mattock, it is my real helper, it is my the fourth useful garden tools.
Thanks for the interesting video on your garden tools. I’m really enjoying your channel and your lovely garden. have very many of the nearly same tools. I just bought myself a battery powered reciprocating saw. Wow! I can do several jobs without asking my husband to assist with the chain saw. I cut back all my butterfly bushes in record time this spring. Thanks for sharing your expertise and your gorgeous garden.
Hello Rosanne. I am an ex-pat of the Twin Cities now living in Maryland and happily gardening in a zone 7 garden. This was a very useful video, and have added to my Christmas wish list a few of your tool suggestions. I have been to Tangletown Gardens, and when I visit my daughter, who is living in St. Paul, I make it a point to go back. I have even planned trips to coincide with their garden walk in July. I wonder if you have noticed changes to your climate in MN that affect your gardening? I am finding it hard to know when it is safe to prune during the dormant season. Over the past couple of years, and also predicted this year, our winters have been unseasonable mild. I'm not sure anymore when to cut back my roses or prune shrubs because we get long periods of mild temperatures that cause the plants to start budding. In fact, yesterday as my husband and I took our daily walk, I noticed in many gardens that spring bulbs were already starting to poke up! I always worry about my cherry trees. One year we lost all the blooms because they come out too early during a long mild spell, and then froze when the temperature dropped again. Just makes gardening more challenging!
Hi Karin. I'm glad you found the video useful! It's fun to add a gardening tool or two 🌝. Tangletown does have a nice selection. Our garden was on one of the Tangletown tours a few years ago (2014?). Great question about changes to the climate. For me, I think our climate is extreme enough, that I haven't had many significant issues. Having snow snowstorms in late April is a problem though, especially if we have prolonged periods of very cold weather with it. My Spring Garden Tour video has a short clip of my tulips under 6 inches of snow! Fortunately, they survived. All the best.
Hi Sima, I am fine. I'm glad that you enjoy the garden tours! We got a ridiculous snow storm in early October which set everything back. Stay tuned; I'll try to not disappoint! Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Thank you Roseanne for this informative, and for me (with disabling autoimmune disease,) an inspirational video! I didn't know that there were so many useful garden tools out there that might be user-friendly for me. I will have look on line to see if I can find some of these items in Australia. many of the tools you showed us, could make a huge difference in my life. Thanks again!! 😃🌻🥀🌿🍁🍂
Hello! I'm so happy that you found this video helpful, and inspirational! Many of my favorite tools are made by Sneeboer, a Dutch company. BTW, I love the thumbnail of your pooch ❤️. Anything with dogs ❤️. Happy hunting on the tools!
I'm so pleased you found my channel! How exciting to have a new cottage and garden to make your very own. I'm happy for you. I hope I won't disappoint!
Hello Roseanne! Thank for your videos. Your garden is my #1 inspiration. Your enchanted theme has everything I want for my garden. I am so happy I found your channel. I am starting my garden in Illinois, zone 5b. I am investing on my outdoor pots. But I don’t know which materials are the best for winter. I would greatly appreciate if you guide me on what containers’ materials would withstand our -40 temperature. Thank you very much!
Hi Lucy! I’m so glad you are enjoying my channel! How exciting to be beginning your own garden 🪴. Love that you love the enchanted look. As to containers, I use almost exclusively clay pots - which would very likely crack if left out for the winter. I empty my pots every fall and scrub them lightly with water. Then I store them in our shed. As to other pots, I have one plastic pot that looks like clay that we do keep out over winter with winter greens. The risk of cracking happens when the moisture in the soil, or rain or snow eventually freezes and expands. Freezing moisture expanding is enough to crack many materials. I guess emptying a pot (ceramic or cement) and then covering it for the winter might work. I certainly see people with pots left outdoors (of course I don’t know how long the pots last). Pots are heavy and expensive, so your question is right on. Sorry I don’t have a more fulfilling answer 😕. Your question makes me think that “preparing for winter” would be a good video this fall.
Great video, got some great ideas for tools I would like to add. Your yard is so beautiful, getting some great ideas to do at my place. Moved into town 2 years ago so having fun planning.
Thanks. Glad you picked up an idea or two for some tools. The planning or "imagining" stages of gardening is so much fun. Of course, all the stages are fun - even putting a garden to bed for the winter. 😊
I’d like to add two of my favorites: the Root Slayer shovel and a Japanese pull saw! The RS is shaped like a trench shovel but has serrated side edges and cuts through tough roots and hard clay soil with little effort, and the tip sharpens easily - as I’ve found after a hard summer. 🙂 And the pull saw makes a wonderfully smooth cut, is feather-light, and will cut any diameter as long as you’re willing to stand there. I have two sizes and use them inside and out, especially since the blades are flexible and are great for tight spaces and flush cutting. GREAT video!! I’ve been waffling on a Hori Hori, but you’ve convinced me... I’m off to shop! 😆
Great tool suggestions! I can imagine the benefits of having serrated edges. Thank you very much for watching and commenting. You won't regret getting a Hori Hori! 😃
Beautiful tools! Makes any garden chore a joy to do😊. I own some plain Jane ones, but have been investing in some prettier and hardier ones ❤️ You’ve introduced me to some very new and interesting ones! I am making my Christmas wish list !
Just discovered your site. I'm a beginning gardener. Have learned it's very important to be organized and have the correct tool...and keep them clean!!! I noticed the organization that you have for your tools hanging on the wall. May I ask where it comes from? That is just what I'm looking for in my gardening shed. Thank you.
Hi, Our system is almost twenty years old, and it was sold as a garage organization system. The system was Schulte, but it looks like they were acquired by Organized Living. Below is a link on Amazon. Maybe they're available elsewhere. The key to this system is that you can move the hooks around, which is very convenient as one expands their tool selection 😉. www.amazon.com/Organized-Living-Activity-Organizer-48-inch/dp/B002XUKW2Q/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=2PGE0VHHT78MJ6ZR94KB
Hello Rosannes, your space is so very well organized, can you advise where you get the metal meshes to hang your tools? did the hook came with it? really like how you kept them.
Hi! Thank you. The system, all sold in separate parts to make customization easy, was made by a company called Schulte. I don't know what they have available now, but here's a link to a website that carries Schulte organization items. It might help you get an idea about their current line of products. We really do love the whole system. Good luck. www.mygaragestore.com/manufacturer/8/organized-living-schulte
Rosanne, where do you find your perennial spades? I have been looking for one and haven't found one. I've found short-handled shovels but not spades. Thanks!
What a great organization and garden tool supply. I am wandering where do you shop for tools, especially stainless steel one with wooden handles.? Thanks for sharing ! Happy thanksgiving !
Thank you. Glad you found the video useful. To buy tools online, we've used use Garrett Wade and Sneeboer USA. Tools are fun. Enjoy! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Hi Rosanne, I absolutely love your garden. It is just magical. I have been admiring your edging on other videos. Can you tell me what material you used? I love the grey color, rectangle shape and more natural layout. Thank you!
Hi! Thank you very much. I'm so glad you enjoy the garden tours! The edging is "Chilton" Limestone. It is quarried in Wisconsin. I'm not sure about where you live, but it is available in the form of "Edgers" at our local stone and masonry supplier. Even if Chilton is not available, you might be able to find a similar stone in that same shape. I love going to the outdoor yard and browsing at the beautiful natural stone. All the best!
Thanks! Glad you liked the video! Many of our tools are made by Sneeboer, a Dutch company. For reference, here's a link to their website www.sneeboer.com/en-us/category/our-collections-garden-tools-en-us/garden/. It shows the extent of what may be available in your region of the world. I don't recall which website we actually ordered our Sneeboer tools from, but this should give you a start. They make lovely gifts to gardeners. My husband has given me a tool for my birthday more than once, and I love it. Good luck!
I am interested in the curved grass edger (longer handle) tool that you use. I wish you had provided links to your tools. You have an amazing assortment of everything a gardener should have. Also, I would like to know the height of the metal supports you use for your hydrangea . My blossoms are so huge, they flopped with the first big rain and again anytime water hits them. Thank you, I really enjoyed this video. Do you find you need support for the zinnias?
Hi, My apologies for the tardy response. I'm so glad you enjoyed my "Tools" video! The curved grass edger is a Sneeboer tool, from the Netherlands. Here's a link www.gardentoolcompany.com/products/sneeboer-garden-edging-knife-with-steps?variant=763657691¤cy=USD&srsltid=AfmBOoogECWwB322MTPemZDz37cXpj8yWg8G0qWf4P_CDEMc6ScatsyAvqI&com_cvv=8fb3d522dc163aeadb66e08cd7450cbbdddc64c6cf2e8891f6d48747c6d56d2c The Sneeboer tools are not cheap, but of the finest quality. They make great gifts for the gardener! The height of the metal supports for the hydrangea are 42". They probably sink into the ground about 6 inches. I had taller ones that were too tall, so we cut them down. I do need support for the Bennary's Giant zinnias, even though I trim them down earlier in the summer to make them bushier. I just stake the entire bed with twine and garden stakes in a grid pattern. The zinnias that I have growing alone or among other flowers are generally of a shorter variety and do not need staking. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hi! Glad you liked the video. The brand of the system is "Schulte", but I do not know if it is still available, it's about 20 years old. I imagine there must be similar component-based systems out there. Good luck!
Love this video! It's great to see all your favorite tools!! I also love the wooden handles and plus they look beautiful!! What is the metal grid that you use to hang the tools on?
Thanks! I so agree about wood handles. Some tools are almost art. The tool hanging racks are from a company called Schulte (maybe purchased recently by Organized Living?). The racks are in a grid form and the hooks are interchangeable and moveable. Everything is "ala carte". Here they are on Amazon. www.amazon.com/Organized-Living-Activity-Organizer-48-inch/dp/B002XUKW2Q/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAnvj9BRA4EiwAuUMDf1YV3hYKHC-b4660asPl9S1tv_4GOLVI5dWJhKAlOCCjYMaz1PweEhoCOdoQAvD_BwE&hvadid=410071543586&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9019663&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=16776860877423163553&hvtargid=kwd-324654597027&hydadcr=8432_11337165&keywords=schulte+shelving&qid=1606324215&s=hi&sr=1-7&tag=googhydr-20
Amazing video! Another lovely video as all videos! Your tools are so clean as new! How do u keep? Maybe another video to share how to keep clean, good looking? Mine are looking so ugly even if i do clean haha!! Also there the storage for tools is very organized!
Hello Lucian! Thank you! The stainless tools are really easy to clean - just water and maybe a rag. But, I think you might be onto something. I appreciate your suggestion. Thanks for viewing and commenting. All the best.
Glad you enjoyed it. The snips were from Smith and Hawkin many years ago. I have seen similar ones in garden stores from time to time. Most now seem to have straight blades.
The brand of most of the stainless tools is Sneeboer, out of the Netherlands. Here's a link: www.gardentoolcompany.com/products/sneeboer-garden-edging-knife-with-steps?variant=763657691¤cy=USD&srsltid=AfmBOoogECWwB322MTPemZDz37cXpj8yWg8G0qWf4P_CDEMc6ScatsyAvqI&com_cvv=8fb3d522dc163aeadb66e08cd7450cbbdddc64c6cf2e8891f6d48747c6d56d2c They are not cheap, but the quality is the best. This is the kind of tool you can pass on to your kids...well, if they'd want it ;-)
Hi, We've purchased our tools from multiple places, but our favorite tools are Sneeboer, a Dutch company. Here's a link to a website that carries Sneeboer. www.gardentoolcompany.com/ Yes, we do sharpen our tools when they become dull. Other than shears or pruners, we sharpen tools once a year at most.
Hi, I checked on the shovel and I see "Heritage" . We bought it at a local nursery. But, this shovel looks to be almost identical. www.amazon.com/Alterra-Tools-AMSL09-Stainless-Neutral/dp/B07G385273
Thank you! It is wonderfully practical. The system is Schulte. I think they were acquired by someone else, but you can find it on the internet (Amazon). www.amazon.com/Organized-Living-Activity-Organizer-48-inch/dp/B002XUKW2Q/ref=sr_1_29?dchild=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAnvj9BRA4EiwAuUMDf1YV3hYKHC-b4660asPl9S1tv_4GOLVI5dWJhKAlOCCjYMaz1PweEhoCOdoQAvD_BwE&hvadid=410071543586&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9019663&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=16776860877423163553&hvtargid=kwd-324654597027&hydadcr=8432_11337165&keywords=schulte+shelving&qid=1614725752&s=hi&sr=1-29
Love this video! I am building up a collection of gardening tools. Can you tell me what brand your trench spade/shovel is? I need to get one. I really enjoy watching your videos. We live pretty close by, as I am in the Twin Cities as well. There are not many UA-camrs from our area, so it is a real treat to watch your videos. Keep them coming, I love them! : )
Greetings neighbor! I'm so glad you found my channel! I do not know the brand and both (yes I have two) of my trench shovels are quite old. I've seen ones like ours at hardware stores and I believe, Bachman's. Unlike most of our wood-handled garden tools, the trench shovels are not stainless, but I wish I could find some stainless ones. Glad you're enjoying the videos. It's super cold today, but I just got a Johnny's seed catalog in the mail. Yay! It means spring is on its way. Yours in gardening 🌹🌿🌺
@@RosannesGarden your comment made me smile. yes, it’s so cold outside again. I went over to Highland Nursery to look around and found a pretty new pot. I’m also getting my winter sowing plans figured out so I can start them in a couple weeks. I love starting seeds indoors too. So fun to watch them grow. Last year we had Covid pretty bad in April and our seedlings didn’t make it. I would love to try some vining flowers this year after watching your videos. Take care and stay warm!!
just found you ! Love your tool video , boy are you organized ! I do have a question you may be able to help me with. I have some deep rooted lilies from the previous owner of this garden that have multiplied way too much and I'm trying to remove them so they never come back...I cannot just pull them uplthe leaves because they break and the bulbs are still around for the next year. What tool would work in this case without digging up my plants around them ? thanks
Thanks! Regarding your question, the answer really depends on how deep the lily bulbs are, and how close other plants are. If they are deep, and you have a 5 inch area to work with, I'd use a trench spade (one of my top three tools). I'd also do it early in the spring, before surrounding plant foliage gets too large. If the bulbs are not too deep, I'd use a trowel. Hope that helps (at least a bit 😉).
Hello from New Zealand! My husband and I have just bought our first home and we have a lot of weeding to do in our property! I found this video and thought the introductions to the tools were very useful. Thank you for sharing your favourite garden tools. Could I suggest listing down the items / products you feature in your videos down in the description box so it's easier for your viewers? I just thought that would be very useful. Thank you!
Greetings to New Zealand! What an exciting time for you and your husband. I like weeding (to a point 😊); it clears the mind. Good tools help. Glad you found the video useful. All the best with your new home!
@@RosannesGarden Thank you. I've just bought a seed trowel / widger to help with those deep rooted weeds. :) P.S. I've subscribed to your channel already.
I'm glad to say we don't really have that problem anymore. When Dolly was a puppy, we did not let her in the garden unsupervised because she showed too much interest in some poisonous plants, like the Calla Lilies. So, because she was closely watched when she was little, she never really got into digging holes, or had the opportunity. With other dogs we've had in the past, or even our wild rabbits, I fence in the valuable plants or vegetables (with 2 ft chicken wire) to keep them safe from intruders. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Hi Kyle, I do not know the brand, as the spade is quite old. People also call them "Drain Spades" We do buy tools from A.M. Leonard. Here's a link: www.amleo.com/ames-kodiak-drain-spade-14in-blade-with-d-grip-handle/p/A1414?mkwid=|dc&pcrid=494871821497&pkw=&pmt=&plc=&kc=&prd=A1414&slid=&prd=A1414&pgrid=118765786044&ptaid=pla-487086735498&gclid=CjwKCAiA4rGCBhAQEiwAelVtiwajYEk6mA56IADs93UTmB_SYMW0Yh3TetaqYxtmmCk8lvTNaPyy1xoC3eUQAvD_BwE I know we paid about the same.
I try not to endorse particular brands and in many cases do not know them. However, I do have favorite tools that are “Burgon and Ball”, and “Sneeboer”.
HI Rosanne! Would you be interested in trying Litheli 40V Cordless Lithium Battery Tools? Like Lawn Mower, Chainsaws, Leaf Blowers, String Trimmer, Hedge Trimmer, and even Snow Blower. You can contact me for further cooperation. Thx!
Lovely video but please you Americans the word herbs start with an H please pronounce it properly , if you were referring to the lady next door , would you say er next door ,
It's Schulte. It's been a while since we installed it. I don't know that it really exists anymore under that name. But, you can try researching wire grid storage systems. Good luck!
Great demo of the tools for the gardener. It has given me ideas for better tools for my gardening and gifts for fellow gardeners. Thank you again after 75 years and counting.
Glad you found the video helpful. I agree; I think a really nice quality "forever" tool is a wonderful way to treat yourself, and give as gifts.
So cut at 5:20, happy dog wanted to play 😉. Happiness attracted happiness 😊. Hello from France 🇫🇷
Greetings to France! I'm so glad you liked Dolly. She genuinely photo-bombed that scene. 😊 When we are outside gardening, she's always with us.
Thanks for sharing! I'm going to use that tip of tagging hand tools with a ribbon, I'm forever searching for mine while working.
Glad to help! 😊
Yes, that is a great idea.
I have been spraying mine with bright orange florescent paint.
So tidy, organized and beautiful! Love your videos!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi! You are too kind. 😊
Wow! I really enjoyed watching your video! ❤ Very informative! Oh and let's not forget your garden shed with all those tools, a dream of mine! Thank you for sharing!

Yay for power tools! I couldn't divide Siberian Iris without one. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and commenting!
That's hilarious, I thought I was the only one who used a reciprocating saw. Love your videos 😍
Thanks! 😊. Power tools sometimes are just the ticket.
Just bought a home last spring with a hedge of 10’ burning bushes - guess what I’m using to prune the huge branches next month! 😂
HI Rosanne! I was curious where you shop for many of your garden tools. Especially good quality ones that are sturdy and have good handles. Also "Hello" from across the river here in Saint Paul ;)

Hi Rosanne. Thats quite an array of tools you have there. Thank you for the tips and explaining what they are and their uses. Great info! I certainly picked up some valuable information. Appreciated, and your looking great, lovely lady!
Enjoy your holidays 🙌🏡💗
Thank you Gina. Nice to hear from you and glad you picked up an idea or two! 😊 New haircut. Have a wonderful holiday season yourself!
Very informative, and one of the best, if not the best so far, videos on gardening tools and their uses. Thanks, I really enjoyed it.
Wow, thanks! I'm so glad you found it useful!
I love the plastic ribbon on the tools! I lost a soil thermometer yesterday. Going to ribbon it ...when/if I find it.
Good luck! 🤞🌺
What a great video!! As a new gardener I so greatly appreciate these informative videos!! And it shows how lovely tools and a shed can be!!
Thank you Amanda! Glad to hear you are enjoying my channel 🌹. Good tools are a gardener's best friend.
Wow, that was great.
Now I know the value of some garden tool and now when I see some at yard sales etc I can snatch them up.
Yay! Happy hunting!
Thank you so much Rossane, I love all the garden tools you have for everything your garden needs. Thank you for sharing
You are so welcome. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for your useful information! I am a garden lover and always try to find some efficient garden tools. Except your three used offen tools. I have a mattock, it is my real helper, it is my the fourth useful garden tools.
Ha! My husband would totally agree! He swears by his mattock. It's a bit too heavy for me to wield, however. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you so much for sharing that! I agree, the reciprocating saw is liberating 😀! Glad you agree.
Skidger is a great weeder tool
Good tip! I had to look it up to see what a skidger is. It looks like a great weeding tool!
All the best.
where were you ? I really missed your tours .
Hi Sima, I am fine. I'm glad that you enjoy the garden tours! We got a ridiculous snow storm in early October which set everything back. Stay tuned; I'll try to not disappoint! Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
I just bought a Hori Hori knife! Love it! The right tool makes gardening easier!
Yes it does! Congrat's on the Hori Hori!
Beautiful Tools! I love how nice quality they look. 💕💕💕
Thanks. Good tools may cost more in the beginning, but they can last a lifetime.
Love your videos. Beautiful garden 🌳🌱🌿
So nice of you. Thank you!

Lovely selection of tools and good tips.

Hello! Thank you so much for that suggestion and lovely sentiment.
Wow.......great tips. Thanks
You are so welcome!
Beautiful yard, great tools!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video.
Just found you! Thank you for the explanation. We have recently bought a cottage with a garden, so I need lots of teaching!
@@RosannesGarden Oh my goodness! Thank for your quick and through reply, and for your guidance! 😁
Love your videos! Keep up the great work. Can't wait to see what you come up with this spring!
Thanks so much! I hope to post a new video in a week or two. Stay tuned.
Loved it! I'm inspired to add a couple of your mentions to my own collection :). Thank you!
Ahh, glad to be of assistance! 😊
Just discovered your videos! Im binging!
Welcome!! Binge away!
Very helpful!!
I'm so glad! I do love my garden tools 😉
Great!! It's so beautiful!!
Thank you! 😊
Great vlog Thankyou . Confirmed some info for me about tools I've been considering Thankyou lovely lady 👍🏻
Glad it was helpful! I'm so glad you enjoy my channel.
Thank you
You're welcome
I own some plain Jane ones, but have been investing in some prettier and hardier ones ❤️
You’ve introduced me to some very new and interesting ones! I am making my Christmas wish list !
Wonderful! My husband and I regularly give each other garden tools as gifts. It justifies a bit of a splurge on some of them ;-)
Just discovered your site.

I Love your place😍😍
Thank you! Glad you could visit!
Good luck.

Greetings Rosanne! It's not often I get to do that 😉! So glad you are enjoying my channel. 🌹
Rosanne, where do you find your perennial spades? I have been looking for one and haven't found one. I've found short-handled shovels but not spades. Thanks!

@@RosannesGarden Thank you!
Awesome info! Thanks!!

Wow, wooden handles and stainless steel! Who makes these tools and where can we get them? Love this video!! Thanks a ton!
Thanks! Glad you liked the video! Many of our tools are made by Sneeboer, a Dutch company. For reference, here's a link to their website
www.sneeboer.com/en-us/category/our-collections-garden-tools-en-us/garden/.
Here's a link www.gardentoolcompany.com/products/sneeboer-garden-edging-knife-with-steps?variant=763657691¤cy=USD&srsltid=AfmBOoogECWwB322MTPemZDz37cXpj8yWg8G0qWf4P_CDEMc6ScatsyAvqI&com_cvv=8fb3d522dc163aeadb66e08cd7450cbbdddc64c6cf2e8891f6d48747c6d56d2c
The Sneeboer tools are not cheap, but of the finest quality.
What a great overview. I especially like your tool storage system. Is it custom, or would I be able to purchase that online?
Hi! Glad you liked the video. The brand of the system is "Schulte", but I do not know if it is still available, it's about 20 years old. I imagine there must be similar component-based systems out there. Good luck!
Love this video! It's great to see all your favorite tools!! I also love the wooden handles and plus they look beautiful!! What is the metal grid that you use to hang the tools on?
Thanks! I so agree about wood handles. Some tools are almost art.
The tool hanging racks are from a company called Schulte (maybe purchased recently by Organized Living?). The racks are in a grid form and the hooks are interchangeable and moveable. Everything is "ala carte". Here they are on Amazon. www.amazon.com/Organized-Living-Activity-Organizer-48-inch/dp/B002XUKW2Q/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAnvj9BRA4EiwAuUMDf1YV3hYKHC-b4660asPl9S1tv_4GOLVI5dWJhKAlOCCjYMaz1PweEhoCOdoQAvD_BwE&hvadid=410071543586&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9019663&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=16776860877423163553&hvtargid=kwd-324654597027&hydadcr=8432_11337165&keywords=schulte+shelving&qid=1606324215&s=hi&sr=1-7&tag=googhydr-20

Hello Lucian! Thank you! The stainless tools are really easy to clean - just water and maybe a rag. But, I think you might be onto something. I appreciate your suggestion. Thanks for viewing and commenting. All the best.
What tool organizer are you using. Looks great.
Hi again. It is called Schulte, but I am not sure it is available anymore. Good luck!
Thanks for this informative video! Who makes your rose snips?
Glad you enjoyed it. The snips were from Smith and Hawkin many years ago. I have seen similar ones in garden stores from time to time. Most now seem to have straight blades.
What brand are your stainless steel, wood handled, tools? There actually really beautiful
Hi, most of them are from a Dutch company. Here's a link to their US website:

Yes, we do sharpen our tools when they become dull. Other than shears or pruners, we sharpen tools once a year at most.

Thanks! There are different brands. We've purchased many of our tools online at Garrett Wade and Sneeboer USA. They have a lot of choices. Good luck!

@@RosannesGarden Too bad they don't sponsor you! lol
just found you !
P.S. I've subscribed to your channel already.
I noticed you have a dog . I have two labs and they like to dig up my plants or dig up in any free space . Any tips how to stop them from digging up ?
I'm glad to say we don't really have that problem anymore. When Dolly was a puppy, we did not let her in the garden unsupervised because she showed too much interest in some poisonous plants, like the Calla Lilies. So, because she was closely watched when she was little, she never really got into digging holes, or had the opportunity.
With other dogs we've had in the past, or even our wild rabbits, I fence in the valuable plants or vegetables (with 2 ft chicken wire) to keep them safe from intruders. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

@@RosannesGarden Thanks so much! I have to move a huge hosta and your tip about spade is helpful. Kyle
Try looking for a Sharp Shooter shovel
The handles are what breaks and rots more than the metal parts
For the work I do, I haven't had a wood handle break, but I can see your point. It all depends on how one takes care of their tools.
can you list the brands?
I try not to endorse particular brands and in many cases do not know them. However, I do have favorite tools that are “Burgon and Ball”, and “Sneeboer”.
