Hi Megan. I have never commented on your channel before, but I really get so many good vibes. I am an widow and an empty nester, so it's just me. I am also a teacher, so that means HUGE teacher hoard!! I was just like you when my children were young. Decorating for the seasons, organizing the kids rooms,etc... you just remind me of.......me. Thanks to you I look more closely at Targets dollar spot for my personal decor. Usually it's just teacher stuff that I buy,but you have given me inspiration for Decorating my space just for me. Thanks for all your advice and help. It really is like therapy!!! Much love~ GiGi
I love the idea of change, but I agree with you! I hate the heat for sure. I love the changing of the seasons as well. I moved from Portland, Oregon to Columbus, Ohio in 2019. I had lived in Oregon my entire life. I loved the change & be experiences. I get a little more humidity now & new bugs, but I also get all 4 seasons, awesome thunderstorms & a lot more snow! Definitely love it here! Plus I've seen more states since moving than I had my first 40 years of life.
Same thing. I am very clean and love cleanliness but my little girl loves mess. Every time i do the housework i hope she learns and loves clean home. My dream is a spotless house. Yesterday i organized the attic.
Hey Megan! i currently live in Florida , I’ve been here for almost two years and my family has been here for almost five so here’s what i can tell you: the weather is going to be usually warm the only time it’s chilly is honestly January and half of December. The busiest times are spring and fall where i live (just south of Jacksonville) but in the Orlando area it’ll be busy in summer too. If i were you i would look a little more north of Orlando to avoid the traffic and construction but still have easy access. Gainesville is nice and orange park/Fleming island is also a beautiful area and they’re only like 2 hours from Orlando or st Augustine so an easy day trip. Humidity is bad here but honestly you get used to it. If you have bad allergies warning the pollen starts in February and doesn’t stop until September-October since the weather is so nice. That also mean mosquitos are out year round so when you have dogs you have to make sure you keep up with heart worm a lot more even in the winter months. The housing market right now is kinda awful. My mom is becoming real estate agent and her best friend currently is one and they recommended i don’t buy this year like me and my husband were thinking cause the prices are so inflated. But if you are looking for a place search about 30 - 45 minutes from the beach because the amount of money you’ll save is crazy and most communities have pools so a beach isn’t really necessary when you can take your kids down the road
We have lived here for 3 years now. I will say pools are a must! You have 2 seasons. Beaches are nice. There's really good beach spots that tourists don't know about and its really nice
Oh those tiny toys ! The kids adore playing with them & us moms (grandmothers) growl when we pick up & step on them. Really smart to research & sample a possible new living area. Love your home, so welcoming.
I watched your blog for motivation for cleaning today. Thank you, it definitely helped. Also, thank you for being real. I often wondered what UA-camrs did with all the stuff, from the room cleaned. But you showed me that you actually took things to your bedroom that belonged there and dealt with it when you cleaned that room. First time viewer.
Hi Megan, I'm a native Floridian born and raised still live here, except I lived in Maryland for a month in the middle of winter. It's very hot and humid here all year except this year we actually had some really nice cold weather during are winter months. It's nice if you like the heat, but I've always wanted to live somewhere else that actually has all 4 seasons.
Hey Megan! I was born and raised in Florida about 45 minutes from Orlando. And full disclosure - there are not 4 seasons. When I was kid we would get longer cold snaps in December but now you get maybe 2-3 weeks in January when it is
Love your videos! I live in Kissimmee, Fl I was born and raised in Miami and moved up to central Florida about 3 years ago and I love it. Yes it’s hot and humid there is no denying that but most of the time we’re indoors. It’s perfect weather for the beach, pools and late afternoons are great for parks and even theme parks. We do get hurricanes so that’s something you have to be prepared for but there is always time to prepare for them. Unfortunately we do not get all 4 seasons but there are some days that get nice and chilly and those summer rainy nights are pretty nice too.
You work through your depression so magnificently. I’m only 5 months in to my diagnosis after my complete mental/emotional breakdown. It gives me hope that as I continue to do the work I’ll be able to claim my life back. I just love your videos ❤️
I live in Kissimmee about 20 minutes from Disney :) I love it...so many parks, little free things to do. Also, the beaches are incredible. Fort De Soto, Pass-A-Grille, Siesta Key...so many. If you’re in Kissimmee, the Kissimmee lakefront is beautiful, picnic tables, 2 parks and lots of space!!!
Born and raised here in Florida, I love the sun shine, and there is a lot of it here, I can't stand a gray day, there's few maybe just in our rainy season but not all day. Our sun shine sure would brighten a mood. Sure it gets hot but there's Air conditioning and pools, and wearing cute dresses, shorts and sandals. You never know where you'd be happiest till you try and you guys are young so give it a try.
One of my favorite videos you’ve ever done. Very real and down to earth. My house is a disaster... but i’m stuck in the bed hopefully not with Covid! This really helped show me i’m not alone!
Hello Megan. :) I just recently found your videos and I love them! I am a Florida native and have only lived OUT of FL for six years of my 57 years. I lived in the mountains of NC and absolutely loved it although the winters were rough on this FL girl. We live in the Tampa Bay area, Clearwater to be exact. I have lived in St Petersburg and Seminole/Largo area also. I am familiar with Orlando because we travel there a lot. If you can tolerate the heat for 7 months out of the year then you'll do fine here. I, after almost my entire life, do NOT tolerate the heat well. Its a mood changer and not for the good. lol I have learned, however that when it's hot outside you can always find air conditioned space to escape to. When we were in the mountains of NC it was difficult to get warm in the winters and the gloomy weather played havoc with my moods. There is plenty to do in FL if you're willing to venture out among the insane traffic. WAY too many people live here!!! No matter where you go you can count on too many people in one place, long lines and horrific parking. Also, depending on your personal political status, the politics here SUCK!!!! Our leaders are about as smart as a bag of hair and quite frankly are embarrassing. With all that said, in my opinion, the people here are, for the most part, a melting pot of various ethnicities, cultures, ages, and financial status. The people are mostly friendly and definitely make up for the few cranky ones you run across now and again. If you are a beach person you will love it here. Flea markets and garage sales are in operation all year long. Be prepared for extreme rain storms every single evening during the summer and there is also the hurricane season for 5 months out of the year. You can get rid of your coats, wool socks, hats/scarves/gloves and boots. Just bring a hoodie for about 2 months out of the year. Also, there are all the citrus fruits available all year long. I hope this has been helpful and I wish you the best in whatever decision you make. Keep up the motivating videos. I am a committed subscriber and look forward to catching up on all your videos. Sending love your way from Florida. :)
Born and raised in South Florida, ended up purchasing a home in the Tampa Bay area. Far enough inland to not be very affected by hurricanes and be able to go to Orlando and Kissimmee parks for a day trip but also not in the heart of Tampa so it's not as expensive and not touristy. I'd have to agree with some of the commenters about the mosquitos and heat. It's humid 80% of the year and in summer it rains once a day almost every day for a couple hours. Visiting FL for a few weeks at a time will definitely give you a much better idea of whether or not you like it. I'm 50-50 on it and right now (mostly due to the politics of FL) I'm living in NYC but I still have my home in FL. Family is staying there right now and I will eventually go back.
I live in mauritius and its been a while since I have been watching your videos Megan. You really motivate me to keep my house clean. Thanks also for sharing all those DIY projects.
I keep all my decor up in my attic/loft space. I've got them in large plastic boxes all labelled and in different locations up there so they don't get mixed into each other, I can walk around up there and if I pick up any sale items I can just add them to the seasonal boxes Hope your ok honey sending hugs as always xxx I'm still chuckling about you laughing and setting yourself lol x
I am currently in Florida. I live in the Daytona Beach area. It is super super hot but being this close to the beach and Orlando has its perks! The down side is Florida can be a pricey place to live and the area that I live in always has some event going on. As long as you are ok with the heat( which you do get used to) then it is an amazing place. There is always something to do and lots of kid activities as well. I would recommend living somewhere in the middle of Orlando and Daytona, then you are only a couple of hours from everything! I love you channel and the motivation you give! Good luck with your decision!!
I used to live in the Tampa area when I was a tween and then went to the U of F in Tallahassee. Florida is great. You adjust to the heat as in the cold winter months of a 4 season state. You just stay inside during the hotter days. I love the Governor of Florida and that makes s big deal! I do t think I'd live right in or near Orlando however, it's just too hectic with traffic and tourism . Hope your trip in April is relaxing and fun! 🌞
I have lived in FL my whole life. It is hot and humid all year long. But I live in the country where there is many rivers and springs so even when it's hot there's nice areas to take the kids and relax and cool down!
I live in the Tampa Bay area. I moved from western NY and have been here 5 years, I attempted to move back up north 2.5 years ago....nope. you can always visit up north...I love the sun, the nature. It made a HUGE difference in mental health and outlook in general. You can also look at the areas that might have your own interests and political inclinations, makes making friends with neighbors easier haha
Florida girl, born and raised. Grew up in Miami, lived in St. Cloud which is just outside Orlando / Kissimmee area. Currently live near Cocoa Beach east of Orlando. I highly recommend the area I live now. Orlando is very crowded and the coastal areas are just 45 mins away and a slower pace. We have annual passes to parks and go on a pretty regular basis and it’s not too far of a drive after a long day at the theme parks. There’s really no other place I would rather live than Florida. I think you’ll love it. Plus you can always take your vacations to enjoy the different seasons since you’ll be local you’ll no longer need to take a vacation to enjoy disney :-)
Megan, my daughter is 30 and still has her Polly pockets!!!! This reminded me when she was little and I picking up all those little pieces!! ❤️ it brought happiness to me this morning, thank you
I lived in South FL for many, many years but my husband's family lives in central FL. We live in CA now. Just make sure you spend as much time as you can there in the summer months before moving there. The heat & humitity in FL is like no other. I mean it's hot, hot. Like Africa hot! One of the reasons I wanted to move was because of the weather. I like four seasons like you said. Outdoor activities during those hot months has to involve water because otherwise you'll be miserable. Best of luck w/your decision. 😍
I'm the same - I hate to sweat. I'm in Wisconsin, and could never move to a warmer state. I absolutely love the seasons! Love all of your videos. Take care of yourself. ❤️
My husband used to live in Wisconsin and hated the weather lol. He just hates the cold in general, but especially snow. That’s why he’s trying to convince me to move to FL 🤣
I live in Kissimmee & I love the small town. We are 15 miles from all the theme parks. From June to Dec is Hurricane season & it rains every afternoon. There is so much diversity here & it is so great. There is Lake Toho in Kissimmee, a little water park for the kids, don't know if it's open put the kids play soccer on the field & there is a nice sidewalks to walk along the lake. We go there every weekend & feed the birds. The boat ramp is there if there are fisherman in your family. I don't like to sweat either but if you can go through the summer, like you do the winter up north then you can live in Florida. We go from an air conditioner house to our community pool, or an air condition car during the summer. Love the winter, no snow, no snow boots, I have just 2 sweaters & 2 pairs of long jeans & really that's all I need. We go from wearing white shorts during the summer to wearing dark shorts during the fall & winter 😎🤣. I love Disney & love going to Disney Springs, it's funny when you live here, it's nice to know you have all the theme parks right in your own backyard. Last month, my boyfriend & I took a spontaneous trip down to Key West, just a backpack & we were on the road. So many things to do. Your doing the right thing by coming for a few weeks.
I love the areas that are really close to Disney! The biggest thing making me consider really moving is the idea of starting every morning having coffee on Main St. USA 😍 it’s such a romantic idea! If they ever start selling annual passes again lol
Hi Megan, just love watching your vlogs, so thank you very much. Never be afraid to talk about your depression as it is a disease and a lot of us are also suffering.😘
I live 20 mins from Florida but also I Was Born There But Raised in Georgia But Florida Is Beautiful But To Live I Feel Like Its Expensive But I Love Visiting and Just Be Prepared For The Hot Weather and Sometimes Humidity
Hey Megan! I love real life clean with me! It seems the more I declutter and organize the more real life cleaning I'm left with, I know you know what I mean! Thank you for another motivating vodeo! ❤️❤️❤️
Florida is a commitment. We have hot and less hot. With a cool day here or there from November till February. No seasons. I’ve been here since 88 and it gets hotter every year. It looks pretty out the window but then when you walk into the humidity and can’t breathe it’s a little bit different. But then I guess my view is biased. Because moving is not an option I have at the moment my family is here. Be prepared for the heat and humidity.
Hey thanks for the motivation. I have left my laundry basket of clean laundry in the living room of my home over a week. I have gotten the motivation from this video to finally fold and put everything away.
Hi Megan! I'm from Florida, lived here for my whole life. I'm originally from Jacksonville but I've lived in central Florida for 11 years. I would recommend exploring areas around Orlando, even potentially between Orlando and Tampa (where I live). This way, you will get an idea of the varied areas and potentially find which best fits your family's lifestyle. Things to know about Florida are that it is hot most of the year and the cold is "Florida cold", summer rains a lot, and Orlando will have a lot of activity because of the tourism. Florida really is beautiful, but it's not perfect. It's great that you're willing to test it out before making the plunge.
Consider the hurricane evacuations, I live in southeast Texas and being a lot like Florida it is hot and nice but the evacuation situation is a pain! Lol I love Florida so much though. You get use to the heat, just get a place with a pool and you won’t have to be too concerned with the heat.
This is exactly the motivation I needed today!!! Your videos lately have been giving me so much inspiration for spring cleaning. As always, your videos rock and you’re my favorite on UA-cam!! P.S. Love seeing the Orioles/Baltimore stuff. Much love from your Maryland neighbor ♥️
My grandparents live in Florida and I spent a lot of time down there as a kid and always loved it. Summers are brutal, but you get nice weather all year while everyone else is getting snow! If I could pack up and move south I would! We will miss you guys though 😢
Oooh, so when you go light a candle be sure to clip some of it off before each use so that your candle will last longer and burn even 😊 especially if its your favorite scent. I still have a Christmas pine that I light once a week; just random info lol
I currently live in florida and am a born and raised native. Obviously it’s a beautiful place and we live where others vacation. BUT the summers are long and hot. Like really hot. This year was the first winter we’ve actually had in many years. It’s normal to have an 85 degree Christmas if not warmer. Snowbird season sucks. Money wise it’s great, but the traffic is horrendous. Personally if it weren’t for my family still being here, I would move just a little more north.
I have lived in Florida almost all my life. You need to come here in late July, August, September to experience the summer weather, which may pop up in December or January on occasion. I was born here and left for just a few year for a cold climate. I love it here. I am not bothered by the heat, even at age 71. But many really don't like it. I can say, it is easier to get cool in Florida than warm in Chicago. Real estate prices are high in many areas so look at smaller towns and find a good agent, and remember you won't be on vacation all the time. But it is a beautiful state, when you fly in you see a lot of green and water and we really value that.
We live in Central Florida on the East coast. It’s close enough to the attractions for us. We do get some tourist on the beachside but it’s hardly ever unbearably busy. We really like it here. The heat in August and September is INSANE, you won’t see Floridians out too much in that season! 🤣 It’s a sellers market right now, lots of families moving to Florida!
I live in between Orlando and Tampa it’s really nice down here been here for 12yrs there are so many beaches to go to if you like the beach in the town I live in housing is cheap right now there are new builds going up everywhere it is really hot here in the summer so if you like hot weather come on down here there is lots to do and the schools are really good on the south side of the town I live in
Ive lived in the Orlando area for the past year and a half (moved from Minnesota) I LOVE it here.. when it's mid summer you just find indoor activities just as you would on a freezing day in the winter! And that's only mid day when the sun is the hottest. Your body acclimates faster than you would expect. Also, there's a lot of attractions all throughout the state! You can always move back home if you find that you're not happy!
@@lovinglifeasmegan I'd say 6 months! Depends how much time you spend outdoors and whatnot. Be sure to kayak in the springs if you can, one of my favorite things to do here besides the beach. I hope yall have enjoy your time here 💗
Megan, I wish I had one of those tools for my sofa thirty five years ago. 😂. I think the sunshine defines helps us to feel better after the winter time. Your home looks beautiful as always, and I love your channel. Thank you for sharing your cleaning tips and allowing us into your life.
Girl I live in FL and im 30-45 mins from like all those places! I'll be honest with Orlando/Kissimmee being a focal point of tourism for people around the World it is pretty stuffed and traffic is crazy. Winter Garden is nice they have everything you need and it's close to all the fun but just away enough to have dome quiet :). Girl as far as weather goes it's always hot and humid lol. August is definitely the hottest in my opinion. But there are so many Beaches and Springs here you definitely can find a wknd cool off anytime. Houses are pretty expensive but compared to the compact housing up north its definitely different. But it all takes is some research into certain areas. Rents are usually $950-$1500 and homes go between $105,000-$195,000... I Hope this helps any :) > love your videos and I haven't forgotten about ur room makeover I'm excited to see it!
Hey, I’ve lived in FL all my life. I live in the Davenport area and it is very diverse and booming. 30 minutes from Orlando, or Tampa. Only 2 hours from a beach in either direction. Coming in the summer will definitely give you a feel for the heat here. The housing market is booming and prices are skyrocketing. But it’s definitely a wonderful place to live.
Hi Megan! I have lived in FL my entire life (over 40 years...born and raised), and I echo what Lauren Weaver said. I live 30-40 minutes north of Orlando. The toll road 429 has caused a huge boom in my area. Multiple housing developments are in progress, and the housing market keeps going up, due to the progress and easy access to Orlando. The median cost of a 3/2 in my area is 275,000-$315,000. I personally LOVE IT HERE! I am an hour from the beach, and hour from the attractions, we have fresh water springs, and ZERO SNOW (which is why I don't ever want to move away) If you have looked into Winter Garden, and like it, maybe check out Clermont as well. The taxes are lower than Orange county. I hope this is helpful
Vitamin D3 is a great help during the winter months. I take it everyday, all year and it does help with the depression. I live in Montana and you can imagine how hard winter is for us, but these vitamins really help.
FLORIDA IS THE BEST. You won't regret. I live in the Bradenton/Sarasota/Tampa/ St Pete and Clearwater area and I am less than 2 hours from Disney so if you love Orlando you will love it anywhere in here. I swear it's PARADISE. I am beyond blessed to live here.
I live in Florida. I love it. Yes the summertime is hot and humid. But the fall, winter and spring are ideal. Now don’t forget hurricane season is June through November. Central Floridians party though. Lol. We’ve been here on the east coast since 2010. My brother has been here 35 years. My older brother bought a home on a canal as a snowbird. They are only here about 3 months a year. No winter blues here. Sunshine ☀️ and 80 degrees today. I’m about a 45 minutes drive from Orlando on what is referred to as the space coast. I hope y’all have a fantastic time when you visit in April😊
@@lovinglifeasmegan my brother has been here 35 years without leaving his house. No damages. There have only been a couple times it was iffy. But they did fine. We have not had damage either. Very fortunate. We moved anyway from Kentucky. I had lost both parents. Saw no reason to stay. So we sold our dream house and moved to Titusville. No regrets since we moved here. Absolutely none.
First time watching you and also I live in FL. For my whole 30 years of life lol. If you don't like to sweat, don't move here. It gets HOT to the point you don't wanna be outside unless you are swimming lol. The upside is, there is alot to do here :)
Hey Megan, I definitely hope your depression goes away. I definitely love all your videos because you always put a smile on my face or just cheer me up if I'm down. And definitely love when we get to chat on Instagram!!
Hey girl! I think I found your channel back when you were doing your backyard and I have enjoyed all of your videos since! I’m glad you’re starting to feel better. I have three little ones under 5 and I’ve never had depression in my life until about 2 years ago and it got worse with the pandemic but your videos really help me relax and while they are all right here playing and gets me motivated to handle my daily tasks ❤️❤️❤️
Love the video. I really love your house too especially I love your coffee table that is so unique shape and I really like it. Looking forward to the next one. Have a blessed week.
For central Florida i would recommend Lakeland, Florida, it’s a great city and it’s less than an hour from Disney, less than an hour from Tampa, and a little over an hour to the beach. That way you’re close to it all without living in a tourist town!
I live in Tampa and it's hot!!! We are almost at 90 degrees and it's March. Summers are brutally hot. We are typically in the 80s for Christmas. Humidity is high. Also the Orlando area is FULL of traffic!! And it's been a sellers marker for a while so prices are high if you're buying. There's tons to do in the area though. You have access to so many attractions, parks, beaches, really anything you can imagine.
I've lived in Northwest Florida my entire life (Escambia County), and there's no where else I'd rather be! I love our weather here and our beaches are the BEST.
Hi Megan, I live in FL and agree with some of the comments here, it is very hot and humid here, that’s the only thing I don’t like but everything else is manageable. It all depends on how you and your family deal with it, if you like challenges you can stay in FL 😂 I’ve been here for 21 years and don’t like the humidity but I have survived. There is no mountain so when I step out of Fl I really enjoy them lol. Would like to know where you will be and have the pleasure of meeting you. Depends how far is from Tampa lol. Like I always tell you I enjoy your videos. Very happy with the way your house have transformed. Don’t let the depression hit you to hard, you have a husband and 2 beautiful daughters that needs you. Sometimes the environment around us triggers it, but we have to fight it. If is something that you can control it go for it, but if is out of your control let it be. There is a God that handle things better than us. I’m not talking religion but a real real friend that is watching over us ALL the TIME, you are a strong woman and lots of us are learning from you, and I’m saying it from the bottom of my heart and I could be your mother lol, so keep fighting you are a conqueror, if I could be of any help let me know, blessings!!
Hey girl! I've lived in Florida all 31 years of my life. I love it! There really aren't many seasons here. Mainly winter and summer. It does get extremely hot and humid in the summer! Just so you know, Orlando is always crowded! It's definitely a fun place to visit, but I wouldn't necessarily want to live there! Btw I love your videos! You definitely motivate me to clean and be productive!❤
My aunt lives in the panhandle of florida near the alabama border and they experience some change in seasons, it's also very country and wide open small towns. My MIL lives in tampa area and I'm not sure how cold it gets there (we live in VA so their cold is like fall to us) but in the summer down there it is almost impossible for me to go outside, hard to breath and just so dang hot and muggy. Don't get me wrong I love florida though it's always been my 2nd home
I am born, raised, and still living in South Florida. I live in Vero Beach. It definitely is hot and humid. You dont want to live on the beach, because of hurricanes. Close to Orlando is good, because they have better hospitals and Dr.s Drivers are crazy and often inconsiderate. That being said, I do love where I live and I'm obsessed with the beach.
@@lovinglifeasmegan yes! We have been so lucky so far. All of the hurricanes that were supposed to come straight for us, have last minute changed direction. And the waiting is horrible, sitting here trying to decide if we want to evacuate or not.
I lived in Florida from 1975-1990, on the east coast where the Kennedy Space Center is. We left because we didn't want to raise our kids there. There were people on top of people, everything and everyone was always in a hurry. It is humid and hot with hurricane season, we've never regretted leaving. We still have family there, so we go down for visits, and there are even more people now. Houses are on top of one another. It's just not our kind of life. We live in Northwest Ga., and have four seasons, in a small town.
Loved this video Megan you are doing well the light of the tunnel will come closer promise you I've suffered with depression for a long time some days are good some days not so good but I find things to do to keep my mind off of the things that give me anxsaty Annmarie UK xx
I lived in kissimmee and Orlando for ten years . I can tell you living there I only went to Disney twice and never visited a beach lol 😂. I do miss the weather sometimes . I’m up north now for the past five years . Houses are new and bigger than up north and that I miss so so much . It’s definitely expensive but I think 🤔 it also depends on jobs and spending habits. The summers are brutal .
@@lovinglifeasmegan true ! They have seasonal pases you can use . My coworker did that and she would go all the time with her daughter. Hey Atleast you can work anywhere . I wish you the best .
Glad to hear u r on the upswing. Maybe Florida sunshine will help. Lots of covid cases there right noe but I'm sure by the time you want to go there it will be better. Your house looks great.
My husband walked in while I was watching this and I quickly shut my laptop because I was embarrassed to be watching a cleaning video 🤣🤣🤣 it's such a strange thing to enjoy but I really do love watching you clean! Lots of love from a small (fashion) UA-camr! X
Omgoodness Megan.. I lived in Orlando, Florida for 6 years and regret every day moving here. I love the heat plus we had a swimming pool in the community. I don't handle cold now that I've gotten old. So much to do in Florida. The people are great they come from all over. No state tax which is a plus. Check with Lynn White she lives in Florida. You sure put out hard work..everything looks soooooo nice.. Love you friend 💓
Yay!! Come on down!! I live in Clermont rite next door to wintergarden. I love Florida even though we have bipolar weather lol!! April will have perfect weather for u. Enjoy ur mini trial in The 🌞 state!!
A helpful tip for keeping your rug in one spot got this idea off UA-cam... not to sure how comfortable you are doing this but I've done it and its stopped my rug from moving.. I used a nail on each corner of my rug and it's stopped it from moving and bunching up.
@@lovinglifeasmegan use a flat head nail it literally sits flat to the floor you can't feel it even if stepped on. I have 2 dogs and there's been no issues.
I lived there for 3 years in Central area. It is super hot!! Ac is a must!! Plus, unavoidable PALMETO BUGS!! THEY FLY AT YOU!! THEY ARE ABOUT 2 INCHES OR BIGGER!!
Not from Florida but I do live in SC and the humidity is no joke if you’re not used to it😅😂 the weather during the spring time is honestly very weird because one day it could be sunny and the next pouring down rain lol. But the south can be a very enjoyable place to live and the beaches are a plus if you enjoy water!!
I live in Clearwater Florida and we moved here a year ago . I personally love love love hot weather but I know it’s not for everyone. We personally love it here . It is hard right now with the pandemic to make friends and to work . I do miss my family and wish I could work . It’s ultimately up to you I’d say try it and see what you think :)
As a Florida Lifer - I hate the heat. Absolutely hate sweating. And Florida is not where you wanna be if that's the case. If my entire family didn't live here, I'd move up north. I grew up in Tallahassee and just moved to Jacksonville a year ago. The heat is definitely worse farther down south.
My daughter lived in Florida for 6 months. She was there for Disney University and she worked at Disney World. She loved it there and we are from Cali. She said the heat was about the same but the humidity was on another level. She took 2 showers each day 🤣 and we visited her in August and man she was right that humidity and out of no where rain was on another level. But it was not unbearable. I mean we get 115 degrees in the summer sometimes where I am in Cali. I love that your going to do a trial move there. That is so smart!😊❤
Hey Guys!
I’m sharing a bit of a real life cleaning disaster today! I hope this motivates you to get moving and clean up with me!

Hi GiGi!
Thank you so much for watching & commenting! I’m glad that my channel can be a happy space for you!
💜
I love the idea of change, but I agree with you! I hate the heat for sure. I love the changing of the seasons as well. I moved from Portland, Oregon to Columbus, Ohio in 2019. I had lived in Oregon my entire life. I loved the change & be experiences. I get a little more humidity now & new bugs, but I also get all 4 seasons, awesome thunderstorms & a lot more snow! Definitely love it here! Plus I've seen more states since moving than I had my first 40 years of life.
I hate the heat & Derek hates the cold 😅
I love your honesty! Things become a wreck when we’re focused on other things. Thanks for keeping it real. ❤️
Definitely re-watching again this weekend ! Very motivating! Makes me just want to tackle everything ! Thank you for being so real !
This was so helpful! Thank you for sharing! 😍
We have lived here for 3 years now. I will say pools are a must! You have 2 seasons. Beaches are nice. There's really good beach spots that tourists don't know about and its really nice
We have beaches near us too! It’s hard to leave them lol
Oh those tiny toys ! The kids adore playing with them & us moms (grandmothers) growl when we pick up & step on them. Really smart to research & sample a possible new living area. Love your home, so welcoming.
You are my fafourite
💜💜 I’m sorry you struggle with depression too, but I’m glad that I can be here for you
I watched your blog for motivation for cleaning today. Thank you, it definitely helped. Also, thank you for being real. I often wondered what UA-camrs did with all the stuff, from the room cleaned. But you showed me that you actually took things to your bedroom that belonged there and dealt with it when you cleaned that room. First time viewer.
Hey Megan I'm new here. My house absolutely gets like that more often than I like to admit. Thanks for the real life motivation!
When I was kid we would get longer cold snaps in December but now you get maybe 2-3 weeks in January when it is
💜💜 thank you!
Thanks for the Sunday morning motivation. Laundry, here I come!
We have stayed in Kissimmee a couple of times and loved it!
💜💜 great advice!
One of my favorite videos you’ve ever done. Very real and down to earth. My house is a disaster... but i’m stuck in the bed hopefully not with Covid! This really helped show me i’m not alone!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! You are never alone 😊
💜💜 thanks for being here!
I keep all my decor up in my attic/loft space. I've got them in large plastic boxes all labelled and in different locations up there so they don't get mixed into each other,
I can walk around up there and if I pick up any sale items I can just add them to the seasonal boxes
Hope your ok honey sending hugs as always xxx
I'm still chuckling about you laughing and setting yourself lol x
*you did that girl amazing cleaning motivation, now I’m about to get up and clean*
I remember my daughter had pollypocket and finding them everywhere she’s n her 20’s now seeing them in this video brought back some memories xx
My girls LOVE them!
We are looking at the central FL area to be close to Disney 🤗
@@lovinglifeasmegan I'm in north central Florida, a little less than 2 hours to Disney, my friend goes weekly and she lives right down the road
❤️ it brought happiness to me this morning, thank you
💜💜💜
I’ll always watch your videos (all the way through) just to support you, your family and your channel! Love your videos! 😊
Thank you so much! We truly appreciate it!
I'm really loving your Easter decor throughout the house! It's not too much.
Thank you! 💜
That’s what I’m afraid of 😳
I'm the same - I hate to sweat.
Yay!!! I need this so bad today!!! Those everyday tasks are so hard to keep up with when you’re doing a ton of decluttering! I feel that!
I’m so bad about it! I often declutter and then just leave the donation pile sitting around for weeks before I actually get it out of the house 😅
Yes. I was wondering how you are doing. So glad the warm weather is improving things for you! God Bless❤
I live 20 mins from Florida but also I Was Born There But Raised in Georgia But Florida Is Beautiful But To Live I Feel Like Its Expensive But I Love Visiting and Just Be Prepared For The Hot Weather and Sometimes Humidity
The hot weather is what I’m most worried about
Hey Megan! I love real life clean with me! It seems the more I declutter and organize the more real life cleaning I'm left with, I know you know what I mean! Thank you for another motivating vodeo! ❤️❤️❤️
I can definitely relate! 😅
I can totally relate 😅 I’m glad I could help you get it taken care of!
Your Rae Dunn collection looks so happy an vibrant! 💛💜
Consider the hurricane evacuations, I live in southeast Texas and being a lot like Florida it is hot and nice but the evacuation situation is a pain! Lol I love Florida so much though. You get use to the heat, just get a place with a pool and you won’t have to be too concerned with the heat.
Ahhh...I recently lost my sweet 17 year old furry friend, which has me heartbroken, so seeing your sweet sleeping pooch warmed my heart.
I’m so sorry for your loss 💜
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so hard to lose a beloved pet. Sending you my love.

P.S. Love seeing the Orioles/Baltimore stuff. Much love from your Maryland neighbor ♥️
💜💜 you’re so sweet! Thank you!
My grandparents live in Florida and I spent a lot of time down there as a kid and always loved it. Summers are brutal, but you get nice weather all year while everyone else is getting snow! If I could pack up and move south I would! We will miss you guys though 😢
You would just have to come visit us for vacations! 😍
@@lovinglifeasmegan i told Tim and he said heck yes 🤣❤️
Oooh, so when you go light a candle be sure to clip some of it off before each use so that your candle will last longer and burn even 😊 especially if its your favorite scent. I still have a Christmas pine that I light once a week; just random info lol
I try to trim the wicks every time 🤗
Real life and make over videos are great - us viewers can relate and say "sh's like me". I'm excited about your upcoming makeovers
Praying for you I Love your channel I also go through a lot of depression panic attacks 💗💗💗
I’m so sorry 😩 it’s such a difficult thing to manage
I have lived in Florida almost all my life. You need to come here in late July, August, September to experience the summer weather, which may pop up in December or January on occasion. I was born here and left for just a few year for a cold climate. I love it here. I am not bothered by the heat, even at age 71. But many really don't like it. I can say, it is easier to get cool in Florida than warm in Chicago.
Real estate prices are high in many areas so look at smaller towns and find a good agent, and remember you won't be on vacation all the time. But it is a beautiful state, when you fly in you see a lot of green and water and we really value that.
We have another trip planned for the end of August so that we can really see what summer is all about!
How long did it take you to acclimate? 🤗
Thank you so much for being here!
We would definitely not buy until prices settle down. 😳 right now they are sooooo inflated!
Thank you for the morning motivation, I am ready to start my cleaning 🙈, I live in Utah and summer gets hoooooot 😁 but the body gets use to it 🤗
The summer gets hot here too, in the upper 90s, but I feel like FL heat will be much worse lol
I am an hour from the beach, and hour from the attractions, we have fresh water springs, and ZERO SNOW (which is why I don't ever want to move away)
If you have looked into Winter Garden, and like it, maybe check out Clermont as well. The taxes are lower than Orange county. I hope this is helpful
This was very helpful! Thank you!
I live just south of Tampa. Love it close to so much. Disney/Siesta Key/Clearwater and tons of places to hike. It’s amazing
I’m so happy you love it so much! 😍
I am so afraid of hurricanes too 😭
@@lovinglifeasmegan my brother has been here 35 years without leaving his house.

Love the video. I really love your house too especially I love your coffee table that is so unique shape and I really like it. Looking forward to the next one. Have a blessed week.
Thank you! The coffee table is from Article 🤗 we love it
For central Florida i would recommend Lakeland, Florida, it’s a great city and it’s less than an hour from Disney, less than an hour from Tampa, and a little over an hour to the beach. That way you’re close to it all without living in a tourist town!
Thanks for the recommendation!
I am the most nervous about the heat 😳 I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle it
I've lived in Northwest Florida my entire life (Escambia County), and there's no where else I'd rather be! I love our weather here and our beaches are the BEST.
We have some pretty nice beaches next to us as well 😊
Hi Megan, I live in FL and agree with some of the comments here, it is very hot and humid here, that’s the only thing I don’t like but everything else is manageable.

Close to Orlando is good, because they have better hospitals and Dr.s
Drivers are crazy and often inconsiderate. That being said, I do love where I live and I'm obsessed with the beach.
I told Derek central/northern FL for sure because I do not like the idea of being wiped out by a hurricane 😩
I lived in Jacksonville Fl for 30 years, loved it! Hated the heat and hum it’s in the summer.
I can deal with dry heat, but the humidity is what gets me 😩
Me too Megan
Loved this video Megan you are doing well the light of the tunnel will come closer promise you I've suffered with depression for a long time some days are good some days not so good but I find things to do to keep my mind off of the things that give me anxsaty Annmarie UK xx
That lint tool does look like it does a great job! Something we will need to check out!
I am so impressed with it! Definitely a worthwhile purchase!
We love Disney so I think we’d spend a decent amount of time there 😅 which can be a good for the soul but bad for the wallet lol
We aren’t too worried about the COVID cases 💜
There’s no tax in FL?
No state tax
Me encanta este tipo de video que me motiva a recoger mi casa 🏡 💕 muchas gracias ,saludos desde Durango México.
YES, make that move to Florida 👍🏼 the sun and warm weather will really help with depression and sadness ❤️
My depression is not just seasonal though
Yay!! Come on down!! I live in Clermont rite next door to wintergarden. I love Florida even though we have bipolar weather lol!! April will have perfect weather for u. Enjoy ur mini trial in The 🌞 state!!
We’ll be there soon! 💜
A helpful tip for keeping your rug in one spot got this idea off UA-cam... not to sure how comfortable you are doing this but I've done it and its stopped my rug from moving.. I used a nail on each corner of my rug and it's stopped it from moving and bunching up.
A lot of people have recommended that but it makes me so nervous with my toddler & our 2 dogs
We experienced that heat in July…it felt like the air was trying to suffocate us 😅 not a fan
We do have humidity where we are too, but it’s not as intense as the south. And we actually live very close to a few different beaches 🤗
Hey Megan nice video watching it on my lunch break!!!
Thanks so much for watching!
Bless ur heart.....
U do a really good job....
I really enjoy watching ur videos....
Thank you!
I am obsessed with a few of the songs you play in the background 🥰🎶🎤
Great work megan as always xxx
Derek has finally agreed that if we can’t handle the FL heat then he will consider GA as a possibility 😅
