    I machine polished with 1 and Done, then 2 coats of Max (2nd coat 24 hrs later). Then a few days later I washed and used Flex Wax as a drying aid. WOW I love this stuff. 🙂

      If you're on a mobile clean & polish with very limited time, all those measures just wouldn't be practical, but on your own car or if you're lucky enough to own a customized detailing garage/workshop with good paying clients, absolutely!

      Did you but both layers of wax with machine? I would put first layer with machine and then second 24 hours later by hand! Im just thinking the machine can remove some of the first layer so it should be the ultimate way to put it like that

    • @butchc9226

      @@Kungin456 Yes I applied the 2nd coat without the polisher. It actually goes on much easier by hand, since a little goes a long way.
      BTW I’m just a guy that enjoys taking care of my cars.
      It’s been over a year and now I just wash and apply Flex Wax as a drying aid every few months and my cars look great.
      Now there are many new easy coatings on the market that I see on detailing channels it’s hard to resist 😂 but I’ll stick with TW for now.
      I just started using the new TW Slick n Slide soap in my foam cannon and I like it.

    Due to your recommendation, I purchased this exact same product from Halford for £30 in Eastbourne. It was the last one on the shelf. While I was there, I bought a £40 snow foam canon, £30 snow foam (2.5L), Murguire pad applicator, mits and a detail and clay bar. I spent a total of nearly £130. This morning is Sunday, the wife checked over the accounts and I received an earful but at 9 am I will start my epic clean of my E-NV200. I hope this works well for white vehicles. 👍
    My ultimate goal is to achieve a mirror look.

    Hmm, im still not sold on this graphene craze at the moment. Ive yet to see what the real world advantages are over whats already out there. It just comes across as the latest detailing buzz word. Id put money on there being hardly any graphene derived substance in there. If you can look past the graphene bit though, the product looks to do a nice job for a quick one hit, but i have to ask the question, is it really any better than say AG Super Resin Polish or AS Mirror Image, both of which still deliver fantastic results in one hit after all these years.

    • @epicautomotivedetailing
      @epicautomotivedetailing  3 роки тому +3

      I Love SRP, And for the price you simply can't beat it. I agree about graphene being a buzzword like ceramic was but unfortunately now big words mean big business so it there will be loads more coming. I can see Meguiars bring one out within 12 months just to compete against Turtle Wax Sales

    • @johnmelling9950
      @johnmelling9950 3 роки тому +1

      @@epicautomotivedetailing I think it depends. The big 3 AG, AS, Megs all sat back and just watched as ceramic came onto the scene. The difference was ceramic coatings showed a massive increase in real world performance over anything that was already out there and so the big 3 eventually jumped on board with AS now having a 3 and 8 year coating, Megs with a range of ceramic waxes and sprays and AG with a fool proof 1 year coating that anyone can use on their drive. I think these companies will again just wait and see what happens and see if the graphene technology can improve to show clear real world benefits over ceramics which they dont seem to do at the moment IMO. The 3 companies i mentioned have proven to be no nonsense and not to just jump onto something for the sake of it. We'll see what happens, graphene will either be here to stay or it will fizzle out as fast as it appeared IMO.

    How did you know I had a silver BMW? Great review. But a question. I love Autoglym's Super Resin Polish. It's about £10, the Turtle Wax Hybrid Polishing compound is £30. I know you did a review on Autoglym's product, think you liked it. But is TW's compound polish really three times better? I used OCD paste wax, which was brill, but I struggled with paste waxes, its just me. Prefer liquid waxes. Running low on Autoglyms SRP, and the OCD wax. So could be in the market for two new products. You covering the various types of weekend detailer, their experience, hand polish or machine polish, with time limits, or end result requirements was brilliant. Your thoughts.👏👏

    • @epicautomotivedetailing
      @epicautomotivedetailing  3 роки тому +1

      Hiya to be honest they should of made smaller bottles and lowered price to make it fit in with the market. Think they were aiming for the detailers who detail in bulk. SRP is very different to this. This has no cut and is aimed at offering a base layer before waxing 👌

  • @TsLeng

    Yep, getting a car to just look nice is my aim too. It has a small dent (likely from parking lot), some chips, some light scratches but being a white car, doesn't really show. Even swirls don't really show.
    Therefore I try to polish (autoglym srp) once a year, make sure I use quality snow foam and cleaners. Then a layer of sonax BSD or turtle was spray sealant. Megs tyre gel. Looks shiny to me, doesn't take up lots of time, happy days!

    I’ve applied in direct sun On a black car. Not fun. Damp cloth would flash too fast . Leaving streaks . But little elbow grease and it comes off with multiple passes. Would not recommend doing it in direct sun. Back of car was in shade and was much much easier . One pass with damp cloth then buff with dry . Very easy 👍👍

      Hello Mark, personally it depends on personal taste. I use yum wax all the time because it's the glossiest wax I know but it has short life span of 6-8 weeks. But then you can get longer lasting waxes that don't quite pop as much. I'm still testing turtle wax graphene paste wax

Had to use a damp and dry MF. 3 drops on a MF pad was way too much. Cut down to one to prevent streaking. In the end it was not user friendly compared to other products. Gloss was good. Beading was just ok. I would not buy again. Lots of better products out there. I will try Griots 3 in 1 ceramic wax next time.
