Thanks for the review, we have an update for any Professional users out there looking to add this sort of product to their menu. We have a new Autoglym Professional product called Instant Ceramic Coating in 5L size that is applied in the same way. At a recommended 2-3 sprays per panel, each 5L is enough for around 200 cars if you aren't too trigger happy. This add on service will boost gloss, colour depth, reduce drying time and lasts up to 3 months making it ideal for those who have a quarterly visit. (Hope this is ok to post Dave!)
@@neilrobinson5115 Agreed. I'm an Autoglym loyalist. I love arriving at my car in the morning and seeing little jewels of beaded water, all over the car, from the nights dew. Their new lifetime ceramic coating has also peaked my interest, and will probably what I get once the current one fades.
When it comes to the ceramic craze, i tend to favor those who are late to the party. To me that indicates they have taken their time to develop a product they can stand behind. Defo Autoglym for me.
I’ve had no issues with streaking with the turtle wax, light spray direct to the panel and buff with a soft microfibre. My best wishes to Martin and family, my wife is a Macmillan nurse so I know you are having a tough time at the moment but try to stay positive.

Have not used Autoglym as it appears to be quality products throughout. I however have been using the TW FLEX especially as an occasional topper to the TW MAX Wax. The FLEX needs an initial wipe (per directions) with a damp towel followed by a buff with favorite fluffy. Some have made an issue of the extra step...for me the astounding results render it moot. The damp towel (for me) has constantly knocked down high points and streaking...light application of spray is essential!! Thanks for your videos mate. I'm a mobile smart repairer and I sometimes like to give the cars a quick wash after if the customer has access to water nearby. I have learned loads from you and the products you show here. Keep it up 👍
tried both and you're correct. Turtle wax flex wax is time consuming to apply on dry paint as a base coat. On business stand point where time is money i can understand you favoring Autoglym which is a great product by all means. However the longevity, durability wise i'll go for turtle wax flex wax + for the money it's a bargain especially doing their recommended 2 sprays per panel at the same time be able to use it on wet paint as a topper, but then again yeah, the streaking issue which is easily resolvable but also time consuming. both products are great in their own term. great review.
Thanks mate I was trying to get into the mindset of what someone like a weekend warrior would do so when i would wash my own car i would always spray something on top
I use the turtle wax graphene, haven’t had any streaks, I spray 2 sprays onto my applicator per panel, in up down left right cross and then buff it off after, gleaming!
I've not had any streaking issues with the FLEX Wax spray. I use a square dampened microfiber applicator and spray directly onto the applicator and apply in a cross-hatch pattern - a little goes a long way. As per directions I follow up with a dampened buff cloth followed up with my favorite fluffy. Terrific gloss! I hope this may be helpful...
If the manufacturers of these products (regardless of brand but especially the big brands ) were to do samples , then you could easily try and obviously buy the full size if it's to your liking
Just to echo all on here, best wishes to Martin and big live to his family as they are affected massively. Another great video Dave. Id like to see the winner from this againt Yum.
Hi Andy thank you for sharing kind words to Martin. As for yum comparison I think I would get way too much stick for it. Hi Dave, great review of these ceramic detailers,I was waiting for the results,I never thought it would be Auto Glym, that's next on my list.have a speedy recovery Martin.
I used the turtle wax for the first time at the weekend. I used it on my mica black MX-5 . I wasn't overly impressed with it when I applied it . To be fair to turtle wax I probably used to much product . However when I went out to the car in the morning the car was absolutely gleaming and I changed my mind to being impressed . The car has an IGL ceramic coating on it so I'll be using this as a maintenance product
There is one area where Autoglym Rapid Ceramic Spray shines over all the other products i have tried. As a drying aid, using a micro fibre cloth and you spray the Autoglym onto the cloth sparingly, use it to dry, then buff immediately with another dry micro fibre cloth. Do it in sections, you will only need about 6 sprays for an average car. The gloss is amazing, and because you are using minimal product, layers up with each wash. The best i have ever used, and a bottle will last you a couple of years.
I’ve tried a few different ceramic spray sealants but settled Garage Therapy. Easy to use and great performance. Three CS and Sigma is a great system. 👍
Absolutely love this channel, mainly for the obvious desire to get your cars looking gorgeous. I wasn’t sure if you’d ever covered microfibre cloths but if not, I’m looking for recommendations. Many thanks in advance.
Great video as always. 100% right Dave, the Autoglym is definitely the better buy. One thing you never want especially when working as a valeter or detailer is a product that is fussy to use. Would you say Autoglym is easier than Sonax BSD? Keep up the good work.
I been using turtle wax ice and it's been amazing ,great shine and luster that people always compliment . The rain beads right of and with a wipe the coat and slick look of my paint is showroom. Recently been using different techniques like one rag for application rubbing deep into the paint until I see the shine then using a double rag to dry wipe and it really comes out looking like new ,my truck is going on 9 years old .
Good review however you didn’t mention the Flex wax can be applied dry or wet first off. And a damp towel eliminates the streaking as stated on the bottle. Second the longevity of the Flex wax is up to a year instead of only 3 months as stated by AutoGlym. Therefore, as a weekend warrior and well not a professional who makes money with repeat business revenue calls obviously. Then to me the Flex wax is the clear winner IMO!
Great review,I’ve just got a bottle of autoglym ceramic spray, all I can say is Brilliant, easy to apply and buff up,water beading is great too,and great shine.
I use Turtle wax hybrid ceramic wax. To avoid streaks I spray it onto an applicator pad. Just one spray per panel, just enough to keep the pad damp, then I buff it off with a microfibre towel. I will definitely try AutoGlym next though, as it looks a lot easier and quicker to use. 👍
Im happy Auto Glym won, i use there polar range for ever car, Just started using Go detailing quick detailer, and Garage Therapy 2 sigma, great video as always I'll look into this ceramic spray, this stuff has always made a bit cautious.
Thanks for a very useful video. On one point I have a different view, the packaging for Autoglym is more restrained, perhaps being aimed at older customers. Whilst, the gofaster look of the Turtlewax bottle, is aimed at younger customers.

I've been using flex wax for a couple months now and I do love it. The problem with it though is that it attracts an enormous amount of dust. But that's easy to just spray off
What you doing using a snow foam 😂 another top video, autoglym are trying to play catch up now, they always produce results and easy use products, just a bit behind the market
I've been using Turtle Wax Seal and Shine up to recently and really enjoyed using it. Applying it with a damp cloth to a not quite dry car resulted in a great finish. Recently got a bottle of their ceramic sealant and was really disappointed with all the streaking. Instructions advise applying to a dry car as opposed to wet or dry for SnS. Just got a tub of their graphene infused paste wax, and while it does take longer to apply, there is not nearly as much streaking.
I didn't have graphene yet, but I choose Turtle wax Hybrid solutions ceramic spray. Got it for £13/500 ml. My friend uses AG products and he has ceramic spray from them. I putted AG on ona side of my Volvo and the other side Turtle wax. He did the same with his Ford and after 2 months TW is just better with some better water repellent and easier to wash of some grease and dirt. I am not biased to any brand and I use different stuff, bu my friend here is big AG maniac and he admitted TW was better and that's something.
Turtle wax one and done compound has become one of my favourites from the brand. I'm walking away from product comparison and reviews. Not for me but will be featuring loads of new products next week in the Halloween video
In this day and age. Detailing products that released that are not easy to use shouldn’t be released. Turtle wax should not released product that has a streaking issues it put people off and the customer won’t buy again and it expensive. I been using the autoglym ceramic spray for a few weeks now it is easy and durable even after a wash as you said. They say you shouldn’t use on glass I do and it good to. As a professional detailer there doing it in 5 litres now at £ 90 which is a bargain
These videos are great i just discovered this channel. I've moved house and found a bag of my old auto glym products. I love their products last week I bought the ceramic spray, but after rediscovering my old products. I'm not sure of the difference between EPG, Ceramic spray and rapid detailer
Thanks very much. Some ceramic sprays can last bit longer than quick detailers so now they add sio2 into them to give them a boost. I always finish a clean on cars with a ceramic spray unless it's a weekly maintenance clean
Brilliant stuff mate. I'm off to get this, this morning along with the Autoglym Super Resin to give my S550 5.0L GT a much needed once over. Thank you.

@@epicautomotivedetailing You are very welcome mate. I know its very hard for him. Its important for him to stay positive and speak good things to himself. All will be fine. Have a good day.
Hi everybody. Newbie here. I just wanted to make the observation that the video lacks a long-term comparison...? Most people who would buy these products would like to know how long they last until the finish needs to be renewed. You don't want to spend money on a product that washes off after a couple of months. Kind regards to Martin, Dave, and all concerned.
Dave you need to try AM Hybrid Sealant and Detailer too, i think you'll have some fun, and be impressed, i've started using the Detailer as a drying aid too, saving time on finishing the exterior. 😁 Still to test Infinity Wax's Graphene QDX too.
@@epicautomotivedetailing Have you tried the hybrid solutions "ceramic wax 3-in-1 detailer"? That seems to be a more comparable product to the autoglym in terms of purpose and usability. Would love to know your thoughts. I've been using the turtlewax ceramics for a little over a year now. Love what it does for wheels and brake dust.
Playing catch tonight on videos. Great presentation mate, you should be telly 😁. Your spot again, i like turtle wax hybrid range but can be effort in applying so have to be the mood to grab that. Autoglym will be a future trier for me. Best wishes to fellow warrior Martin. 😀
Nice review, but a bit silly to points score on the design of the bottle. That matters to the manufacturers who want to sell their products, but for people like me who just want to know which is best, we couldn't care less what the bottle looks like.
@@epicautomotivedetailing Yep, I can believe it. Very informative stuff though, I used the original Turtle Wax ceramic spray and it was horrible to use, dried almost instantly and was difficult to buff off. Night and day compared to the Autoglym stuff.
Turtle Wax... less is more. Back away a bit when spraying on panel and if that doesn’t alleviate streaking, spray on applicator pad, not the panel, and then apply.
We had terrible wind when filming couldn't back away on the BMW X1 or it would of contaminated the other side of the bonnet. It's been ok on some paintworks just not as easy as Autoglym though
@@epicautomotivedetailing Detailing is a funny puzzle sometimes. Certain chemicals, pads, process etc that is good on one paint, is terrible on another. So many variables with detailing. One certain aspect I’ve learned is do not bother with Turtle Wax Graphene Flex on any PPF. You will be trying to clean up streaks for days! Thanks for the videos… look forward to the next!
3 towels for turtle wax? Did you use a damp one? You're supposed to use a damp one to buff off first and then a dry one. The damp one will get rid of streaks and high spots
to be honest packaging side of things autoglym looks like its a premium sophisticated bottle but turtle wax looks like something kids would rather pick up
Great video as always I know it’s a year late but been using Autoglym for many years, I was given a cleaning pack from BMW, and just stuck with it, hope Martin is okay
Thanks for replying Dave, absolutely love your show, looking at getting g into detailing, been practicing on the family car, with all your hints and tips, loads of confidence to use snow foam and also starting on my daughters car this weekend, and now the neighbours are asking me to do there’s, now the family car is polished and waxed but showing at a real close look swirl marks, so after yet another one of your great shows I am looking at Autoglym’s resin Polish
Pat the detailer. On u tube. Does all thease. And I’ve tried most , auto glum. I use to use years ago , ( still a good product) maguire sis good too I’ve allways loved turtle wax. ...I agree for speed. Auto glum is fine but for perfection. I think many have over taken them ... plus many use a electric polisher thease days ...

So Dave, would you say the AutoGlym is more like the GT Two Sigma than the Three CS? More of a lightweight, ceramic infused detail spray than a full on sprayable ceramic coating?
What would you recommend as finishing compound- a really fine refined compound for maximising gloss. Don’t need cut - normally use 3m. But what do detailers recommend? Many thanks
Haven't used it myself but if its just a finishing polish your after I've heard Sonax purfect finnish is the way to go. Even Yum cars rate it so must be good. Or try Menzerna 3500.

Thanks Paul. I just want to help anyone who needs a bit of joy in their life 🙏
What you doing using a snow foam 😂 another top video, autoglym are trying to play catch up now, they always produce results and easy use products, just a bit behind the market
Yeah Autoglym are a powerhouse that needs to show the others that they are still at the top of their game 👌
Thanks Gavin, Autoglym trade products are great value for money
Hey Dave can’t wait till the video starts!
Thank you 🙏
These videos are great i just discovered this channel.
Thank you.
Another great video Dave, get well soon Martin
Thanks Mark
I'll be on my wY to my local Halfords for this, I already use the Super Resin, this will be a great topper... Great speach at end, ❤️👌🏻
Thanks Kevin Appreciate it
Keep fighting and keep positive Martin, in my thoughts and prayers buddy 🙏
Your a good man wishing one of your subscribers well. you got a new one now! 😀
Thanks very much 🙏
Agree Turtle wax very streaky to apply compared to other spray ons.
Just found your channel and have subsequently subscribed. I must say I'm enjoying the content very much. Very interesting and informative and I'm picking up great tips all the time. Thank you.
Lovely stuff thank you. Wish few more people knew about it lol
@@epicautomotivedetailing The only way i find out is when these pop up randomly on poo tube. I'm not very tech unfortunately. Cheers, steve.
Autoglym is much easier to polish off on black cars. I felt turtle wax was never fully buffed off by hand.
YEs turtle wax is good but not good enough compared to autoglym in terms of application
Excellent as always ,
Thank you
Very good video mate. I bought yesterday the turtle wax spray sealant wax but did not try it out yet.
To your subscriber you mentioned, all the best.
Thanks for sending best wishes to martin
@@epicautomotivedetailing You are very welcome mate. I know its very hard for him. Its important for him to stay positive and speak good things to himself. All will be fine. Have a good day.
Very best wishes for a speedy recovery Martin. Dave, would a quick wipe with a damp microfibre help with removal and streaking of the Turtle wax?
Thanks mate. Yeah a wipe down with damp cloth and dry after is the only way but it is a bit of a faff
Nice one, hopefully I'll get next batch of videos done then I may try it
God I get crazy, it is the 3rd video I watch for a good spray wax/detailer and when I go to Amazon to buy it, it is out of stock 😭😂 Great video BTW!
the hybrid solutions ceramic looks like it does better over time compared to the graphene type
100% agree ive been testing all year and ceramic is better
Funnily enough I am on BBC live on Saturday but can't say what show until it goes live sadly
@@epicautomotivedetailing your one of those secret dancer/singers!
@@stevegorman2898 lol sadly not. I did channel 4 few weeks ago and now BBC want me but can't say legally till it's gone live on Saturday
Nice review, but a bit silly to points score on the design of the bottle. That matters to the manufacturers who want to sell their products, but for people like me who just want to know which is best, we couldn't care less what the bottle looks like.
You'll be surprised how crazy people would of been if I didn't do that lol.
@@epicautomotivedetailing Yep, I can believe it. Very informative stuff though, I used the original Turtle Wax ceramic spray and it was horrible to use, dried almost instantly and was difficult to buff off. Night and day compared to the Autoglym stuff.
i wish i had watched this before i bought the turtle wax, i hate when im wiping down my black escalade and it starts to streak,
Hello. Try again honestly it takes a few attempts to get it right and I was the same with ceramic spray
Any follow up coming how well they are lasting? That would be interesting 👍
Both holding up fine so far in my regular clients cars
I love turtle wax products but can’t get on with the graphine flex - just too streaky and difficult to level.
What is the best protection for the body side molding keeping it looking great?
Thank you,
Steve.
Best in terms of durability? So many factors. I liked Autoglym for a monthly or bi monthly application
3 towels for turtle wax? Did you use a damp one? You're supposed to use a damp one to buff off first and then a dry one. The damp one will get rid of streaks and high spots
to be honest packaging side of things autoglym looks like its a premium sophisticated bottle but turtle wax looks like something kids would rather pick up
So you'd chose a product based on packaging? You are a marketing departments dream.
If its very windy why not spray it on the cloth ?
Great video as always I know it’s a year late but been using Autoglym for many years, I was given a cleaning pack from BMW, and just stuck with it, hope Martin is okay
Hi Carl, actually I haven't heard from him for a while. Praying he's ok 🙏
@@carlhobbs1015 it's a hard time to start with the way the world is in and this weather isn't helping but things will soon get better I believe 🙏
@@epicautomotivedetailing you are an awesome person mate all the best for your future endeavours 🙏❤️
Both are good but diamondbrite is better. I used to always use autogylm but not anymore
Get well soon Martin!
Thanks mate 🙏
HI there! When will be the review between: Autoglym Rapid Ceramic and Autoglym Aqua Wax ?!
Sadly not my channel is moving away from reviews as I have my own brand launching next week
Im so looking forward to this.
Thanks Alan
can the turtle wax product be applied on all surfaces, in particular, windscreens?
Would either of these be good enough for alloy wheel protection, or would you recommend something else?
Get well soon Martin and enjoy your goody box from Dave 👍👍👍
This chap has a good attitude. And rarely like anyone.
Thanks John 🙏
I want to smarten my exterior and interior but I’m on a small budget and don’t know what I’m doing or what to get is there any think you would suggest
I’d like to point out that the autoglym bottles don’t fit the hand well. Point most other products that use the standard bottle.
Good point 👏
Hello. I covered my car with Turtle Wax GRAPHENE Flex Wax. Which hand wash shampoo will support the graphene coating? Thanks for the answer.
To be honest just stick with a good ph neutral shampoo.
Hola !
He visto algunos de tus videos y me gusta la forma en la que trabajas ,los vehiculos , puedes decirme si en España se pueden conseguir , el que esta fabricado en UK ?
Muchas Felicidades por el Canal y gracias por la ayuda
Hi, what's the difference between the autogylm ceramic spray and the autogylm aqua wax? (im a weekend warrior). Thanks!
one point you missed about turtle Wax was you can use it wet when you clean the vehicle again as a drying aid, don't know about the auto glym ?
both work as drying aids
@@epicautomotivedetailing thanks for that 👍
So Dave, would you say the AutoGlym is more like the GT Two Sigma than the Three CS? More of a lightweight, ceramic infused detail spray than a full on sprayable ceramic coating?
Lightweight yes. This is a quick and easy way to protect your car. Still incredible
Just watched one of your videos the auto glym wax can I use the auto glym caramic coating afterwards
Can you advise
if you use ceramic coating make sure you compound and decon the car first
What would you recommend as finishing compound- a really fine refined compound for maximising gloss. Don’t need cut - normally use 3m. But what do detailers recommend? Many thanks
Haven't used it myself but if its just a finishing polish your after I've heard Sonax purfect finnish is the way to go. Even Yum cars rate it so must be good. Or try Menzerna 3500.
I enjoy using rupes zephir gloss. White lid. brilliant finishing compound
@@epicautomotivedetailing Do you want to do a fine cutting machine polish on my 88 escort RS turbo the car is mint - make great content 👍 obviously I’ll pay you £££! Immaculate warehouse to work in for the day.
Does anyone use Mer anymore it’s a great polish
Personally I don't think it's just gradually faded out of the spotlight 😬
@@epicautomotivedetailing sadly I think you’re right
2:11 is by far my favourite part of the video. Spat my beer out 🤣
Thanks mate 😃
.... A sponge!....... Aggghhhh! 😂😂
i love a good video From Dace as always! :D
Thank you 🙏
I'm new here, but definitely I will stay longer 😀 , like and subscribe, personally I bought 🐢 flex, durability is really good on this product
Please do. We have a brilliant Poundland video you will enjoy
@@epicautomotivedetailing i have already watched, I'm watching your older video and absolutely Love it
Flex wax extremely extremely hard to buff off i use super damped towel
Stil takes me 1hr plus for 1suv
Tried the turtle wax and it was dreadful. Autoglym all the way for me.
I bought the hybread turtle wax ceramic spray waste of money its a nightmare to get off once you polish the car I tried in sunny and overcast weather 3 hours in yhe end I used something else to get it off
