The story to how this song happen is crazy. His mom sued him for 10 million dollars and then she released a dis track towards him, yes his MOTHER did that. So he released this song to clear up what people were saying about their relationship. It was a pretty fucked up public situation.

Eminem regrets this song today. And won’t perform it live anymore.

@@robbob5302 of course because he is in a better place today and not so angry anymore, but back then he was still full of traumas

Fans arent used to longevity like Eminem has had. They arent used to an artist GROWING UP lyrically. Fans dont wanna recognize that Em couldnt rap after his overdose...he had to retrain his brain for over a year to be able to even write songs again. He battled back. Em evolved into a complete Monster in this game. At 50 years old the game stops when he drops music. Hes still a 🐐

And this is why everyone loves Em he let all of us into his life

He had a tough childhood being moved around a lot, bullied at school for always being the new kid, mentally ill & abusive single parent mother, while also living in abject poverty. The State removed his brother from his mother’s care & Eminem testified to the abuse & being a victim of Munchausen by proxy in the case & later became the guardian for his brother once he had the money to care for him.
He is as popular as he is not only because of his lyrical ability, and technical skill, but because of his vulnerability and openness to sharing his struggles that many listeners identify with. Not many artists put the good, bad, and the ugly on full display for the world to see the way he has, but that type of authenticity usually leads to a very loyal fanbase that doesn’t go away.

This ❤ slim shady, Eminem, they’re all Marshall Mathers. Each of his phases of live served him in some way and honestly us. This was one of the first songs that got me hooked on Eminem. I heard it and I have a mom with munchhausen and I never realized that others went through the stuff I had. His music validated me and because of the simplicity of the flow I could memorize it and I sang it over and over in my head until I grew up and moved. It was therapeutic and cathartic.

The new Eminem is way more technical and if you somehow put him against old Eminem on stage Oldham. And him with lyrically gets smoked . However that being said the young and hungry in drug fueled eminem hits different For some intangible reason. I used to think it's cause. I grew up in that era and I remember conservatives and christian groups actually marching In having protest rallies against him. Government officials were making comments on talking about more music censorship because of him And in response to all that backlash from the Slim Shady lo he released the Marshall Mathers lp and double and tripled down on everything. Not only that, but on that album, he called all of them out on their hip hop receipt and defended people like marilyn manson who was trying to lay low after. Much of the country was trying to personally blame him for the columbine shooting. And then this album comes out and it's Everything you would want And start off so strong with white America after the entry. Because he wants you to hear what he's saying in that . And has certified classics like Till I collapse And of course deeply personal authentic things from his life like this one. To a lot if people the eminem's show is his best album . I don't really have a subjective or what I feel an objective opinion on his best album personally but if someone said the eminem show I wouldn't disagree with it.
