I don't have one of these big 3,5mm stereo plugs, so i used my old headphones. It should also work, if I only cut off the headphone speakers and attach one side of the LED-construction to one cable (not GND) of one speaker and the other side of the LED-construction to the other cable of the speaker. Then I soldered it together and tried it out, but it didn't work. Do you have an idea, what I did wrong?
    (additional information:
    - Smartphone: OPPO Find 7a (Android)
    - App: DSLR Remote (like you used in your video) in Sony-mode
    - Camera: Sony Alpha 6000
    - On an iPhone camera, you can see, that the IR transmitter on my Find 7a doesn't send out any signal, when pressing the shutter button. For example on TV remotes, you can see the signal on the screen of the iPhone camera, so the mistake has to be on my IR transmitter, the app or my Find 7a.

It is a nice hack, but please never use a knife like that again. Never cut in the direction of your hand but always on a surface where you can't slip and accidentally cut yourself.

+quiambaomc no I don't. This is very simple homemade DIY project. The main problem here is that the most people don't have a soldering iron in their possession.
